hello. I dont have factory connector, because my car did not had this feature, I have added it myself, so, connector is not OEM. but its there under the panel originally.
What's the purpose of those 4 large plastic tubes on the inside of the door card (as seen e.g. from 3:50 onwards, to the left nearest the camera)? Looks like they're intentionally made to let outside noise in, but I suppose they're there for a sensible reason, and not meant to be plugged shut by sound deadening material.
@@Spurdospaerde692 Reinforcement of the doorcard by the looks of it. Both torsional rigidity of the doorcard and also when pushing against the doorcard from the outside!
I have installed Hertz 165 DSK mid speakers. Tweeters fros this set were too loud, so I have used tweeters from citroen c5 hifi system. Now sound is more clear, mids are better, but lows are bad due to small door space... sub is a must on order to have decent low frequencies.
@@rustoil For now, I have replaced the tweeters with a jbl with part number 6562 F5. The difference is a plus, very detailed sound and less harsh. Instead, I want to replace the speakers in the door with hi-fi versions, i.e. phillips speakers, or give something new. I wonder if my RT-4 radio will catch any new speakers, such as Hertz like you have. greetings.
@@mechanicznacytryna1474 hifi speakers are also not very good. Look for high sensitivity speaker like 91-92db at least and headunit will be enough. Dont look to 88 or 89db speakers those are made to be used with a power amplifier.
Yeah, bass is a little better, noise from outside a little lower, doors feel a little nore solid, offcourse, not very significantly. For the best result all doors should be insulated, sheet metal should be covered with sound deadening materials.
@rust&oil Have you ever removed that white insulating/sealing material on the doors and had a look behind it? I haven't, and I wonder if Citroën put any sound deadening material at all on the sheet metal of the doors, and how difficult it would be for a DIY'er to reach behind there (and behind the window regulator mechanism et c.) to do some extra insulation on the bare metal.

Nice. BTW: where is the plug for the door pocket light connected? It is about lighting that turns on automatically when you bring your hand closer

Just noticed the thumbnail, the holes or "tubes" on the bottom right of that door card, in case someone didn't understand what I was talking about.
Hi. I dont exactly know its purpose.

Hi. How did you eliminate the rattle from the rear view mirror?( I saw that you've installed a sub so I guessed you also will have this problem)
Hi! Well, my subwoofer is quite weak, but yeah the mirror is rattling a little bit, but not too much.
@@rustoil how weak? I'm using a 500w amp currently.
I have used sub from logitech z623 pc spekers which was laying around, so about 130w rms. Lows are fine with that.
OK. Thanks

@@rustoil This is my plan. high-efficiency speakers will need less power to drive them.
did you noticed any diferent after?
