What you can't hear is the constant REEEEEE the camera makes. (Just buy the Flipclips, they come with 24 darts and I regularly see them for like $4.99.)
They did eventually release a magazine for the Khaos, $25 on Amazon, but not until the Nemesis was already out. Even with the immediate price drop for the Khaos this still made the Nemesis a better choice. They killed the Centurion similarly by not releasing spare magazines or putting two in the original package. The Adventure Force Havoc is currently $5.44 on WalMart.com with two 8 darts clips and 16 darts.
Dear Hasbro, fire whoever came up with this blaster, they could have just re-re-released a Raider/Rampage in the "Modulus" line that accepted N-Strike magazines with front and rear accessory attachment points.
Egg Pickles That's the idea. Reshelling a Rampage for the Battlescout would have made it compatible with most every Nerf magazine. Instead, they go for an inline clip that no other blaster uses.

if the internals are "basically a Strongarm," take a Strongarm cylinder/internals/upgrade kit, gut that f***ing useless clip port with a dremel, insert Strongarm internals. There. it's functional (maybe?).
M. O'Toole Better hope that the slam fire still works when ported over to the Battlescout. Even then, you're just taking a Strongarm/Disruptor and jamming it into a primary class shell, so you might as well use the Strongarm/Disruptor and completely forgo the useless Battlescout. Alternatively, you could go get a Spectre or something. Hell, the Alphahawk would be a fine purchase over this since the shell is really comfortable and has a rubberized grip. The long and short of it is that the Battlescout is absolutely not worth the trouble. Any mods you do to it basically involve gutting everything and stuffing some other blaster's internals into the shell.

The Deploy has 5 foot ranges, stiff ass prime, uncomfortable magazine release, unusable plastic sights, useless flashlight, reverse plunger, gimmick that makes the gun only a teensy bit smaller, and horrific jams.
If I want to use a Strongarm, I'LL USE AN ACTUAL STRONGARM. Seriously, eff Nerf/Hasbro. Watered down reskinned Strongarm. What the hell were they thinking?
I picked one of these up for cheap at Goodwill, no clip, no camera. But I saw potential in it as a sniper rifle. I'll slap an XBZ tank into it, pumped off a tri-strike stock, salvage a breach out of a rampage, plus the magwell and prime it off the pump grip. Either that, or just put the rampage internals in and call it a day.
motorize it, and convert to take Vulcan belts. mini LMG! only way to salvage it... EDIT: empty space? Hmmm...maybe ill pick one up to gut and use as a shell frame...
At least with the Cam ECS, you could integrate a voltmeter or ammo counter into where the screen was. The Battlescout, you have to completely destroy the blaster to get it workable.

I use my Samsung S 5 to record my videos for my channel and they are WAY better than that camera. I agree with you while heartedly with everything you've said.
The way I see it, the harmonica clip idea isn't even terrible. I could see there being a market for blasters using these if Hasbro had done several things different. If these were like Boom Co clips that used Nerf darts, that'd have been great.

buddy of mine put a modded stryfe in it and a magwell in it and made it take the darts from the mag it got 100 fps it was awesome
