    I put the fruit in a Muslim bag and brew it in a bucket with a tap . Throw away the artificial sweetener and apple flavour. Also top it up to around 26 litre . When it stops bubbling . Good indication it’s done . Remove the bag of fruit . Leave it to settle or not depending on if you want it clear or cloudy. I like still cider so I put the priming sugar in the initial brew . Draw the cider of the tap brew bucket as you want it 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻

    Liking the look of that, will purchase very soon, but first her indoors wants me to try one or two of your red wine kits, she's a Shiraz drinker, which do you recommend?

    Great video, how come you didn't use an airlock in the initial ferment?

    Where do you keep your keg? I’m wondering how to keep my cider cool :)

    • @Brewbitz
      @Brewbitz  Місяць тому +1

      Hi. I have a utility room thats quite cool. Or if I want it really chilled, then I pull off a few pints into a bottle or a mini keg and put that in the fridge to cool down.

      @@Brewbitz thanks for the reply :) I’ve been carbonating my cider, but I do like cider in still form. I’ve still got a cider kit I got from you. My question, is it as simple as just not adding priming sugar or is there a process I’m missing so I can have it still….

    • @Brewbitz
      @Brewbitz  Місяць тому +1

      If you are bottling, and want it still, then you can leave the cider in your fermenter to clear. Then rack it off the sediment into a clean sterilised vessel. Add 1 crushed campden tablet per gallon of cider, stir, then bottle.

    Added the satchet of Artificial Apple Flavouring in a few steps early due to a mis-read of the instructions, around the stage of adding the dried fruits and sugars (Right after I had stirred it all with the 4L of boiling water) Realized mistake a bit late, any idea how / if this will effect my cider? - Thanks.

    • @Brewbitz
      @Brewbitz  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Declan. Adding the sweetener early won’t really make much difference to the finished product. Adding it at the end, means you can add it in in small amounts to get to the desired sweetness you would like.

    When you put it in a cool place to clear, what is a good temperature to do this?

      @@Brewbitz .. I was curious if you could do this in a fridge?
      It would be a constant temperature, but would it be too cold, around 7°C?
      I have an old fridge in my garage!

    Is it possible to drink before 2-3 weeks after bottling?

    • @Brewbitz
      @Brewbitz  Рік тому +1

      No, not easily as the secondary fermentation needs to take place. Then it needs to clear or you will get a mentos & diet coke eruption. Cheers

    Hello there what happens to the cider if the enzymes are distroid?

    • @Brewbitz
      @Brewbitz  Рік тому +1

      It will still ferment. But they help to extract the flavours from the dried fruits.

      Hi. Was the Rosie fizzy? If so, yes. Just make sure the cider has fully finished fermenting before you add your priming sugar and bottle.
