Sarah you are the first person I have heard say that brown was their favorite color. I think it is so overlooked. Thank you for the English versions of your podcast. Please do not apologize about your English you are doing better than great and a delight to listen to!!
When working through a list you can. "Cross things off your list." "Check things off your list." "Mark things off your list." Even when you get stuck on a word, you do a great job getting your point across.
Oh Sarah, I too like the little chains when you finish a work ... like a row of chains in crochet ( Very much like them). So glad you found a crotchet binding... its very much like a chain row too. Happy heart jumping week !
I'm enjoying your podcasts. I don't blame you for placing limits on answering our comments and making tutorials. It could become work rather than fun. Xx
so glad to be back in wifi area! went camping in my VW VIsta C-class RV this weekend & there was no cellular. UGH. (so i came home!) SO i'm loving the remi in BLACK! It is so nice! It looks fabulous on you! I wish everyone would SHARE their measurements (bust size) and then the size they made so I could compare! ~ TY for this again! LOVE your creations! LOVE, peace and axle grease! (i'm a mechanic!)
Sarah, thank you for suffering through the heat (without your fan) to film your podcast for us. I can appreciate how unpleasant that can be. Your new Remi camisole looks so good on you. It's a perfect fit.
You are so hard on yourself. Your English is fantastic. Its interesting to see how you work out what you’ve done and how you are very articulate about your skills it’s inspiring, truly. I enjoy your episodes very much. Thank you for your hard work. Non shinny in English Im guessing I assume you mean like in a photograph it can be shinny or have a “Matte” finish (without shine.)😊
Thank you, Sarah! I enjoy and learn from your videos! Yes, UA-cam has many excellent tutorials, and books are important, too. I want to try the Remi! Thea, too!
You might like the “obsessive cast off” by Ann Kingstone. It is a modified jssbo but uses the russian purl and makes two parallel rows of chain stitches. Much neater the the regular jssbo but stretchy and doesn’t flare out.
Just love watching and listening about your knitting and crocheting. It would not make me feel happy to teach knitting either so I totally understand that. I love your phrase “heart jumping”. 👍🏻 ❤
Your podcast is my alltime favorite! I have dutch roots but dont speak dutch and i love when you tell us the dutch words for things. As i was watching this I was practicing saying the dutch word for Green out loud, and my husband ran into the room thinking I was choking! 😂
When I first started knitting, I hadn't discovered you tube or it possible didn't exist, and I couldn't understand the books and the pictures where more confusing. I didn't continue to try. But now that I have UA-cam I've become a knitter and love it and the knitting community. Thank you for your podcast. I enjoy spending my time with you.
Sarah, if you don't like the word needlework, use the Dutch term you do like. Language changes as people use it. You created "heart-jumping" which is a great term. It is a Sarah joy term and I think of it often in my life. "Yarnie-adventures" and "crafty-adventures" are great terms. Express yourself in a way that makes you happy. Other people will learn or not, but those who watch you regularly will know what you are speaking about. In the same way, we are happy for you to share your experiences, but only share what works for you.
Perhaps you want to ‘share your creativity’ with us 😃 Would that do maybe? Totally understand you don’t want to do tutorials. But saying that, watching you and all the hints you have given (I’m up-to 48 of your English videos) I’ve taken the plunge to make socks, and I’ve knitted for over 45 years! I’ve taken notes of your toe up, Turkish cast on, short row heels and Jeny’s cast offs and I’ve gone to watch as many videos as I can find on those and made my own notes and now making my first test sock. So thank you for teaching without teaching. 😁So that’s something crossed off my bucket list 😎
I am making the same sock pattern. I am using a yarn from Kluer en Draad called Handgeverfde wol. I think it's from The Netherlands. I thought it was fun to make the Dutch pattern with the Dutch wool that I found here in a yarn shop in Texas (US).
Another great podcast Sarah ! You might get a few English translations wrong, but I don't care, we understand what you mean (what your trying to say) and that's fine, it makes it unique. I love Saturday's morning so I can wake up and watch "It is a Sarah" have a lovely weekend.
Hi Sarah, this may have been mentioned in the comments already, but I've done a modified version of Jeny's stretchy bind-off before where I bind off.... I think it's the purls using Jeny's method and then do the knit stitches in just the basic way? (I just did this on some socks because I also don't like the look of Jeny's, but appreciate the stretch) It may have been the other way around, they were a gift so I can't go check... The stretch was still good and it looked much better, IMO. Been loving your podcast! Thank you so much.
Bonjour Sarah! Très mignonne dans ta camisole et ta belle jupe en lin! Merci de partager! Passe une belle fin de semaine et à lundi prochain! A little bite of French!😁
Tejer en español, tricô protutues, tricot frances. As a Spanish speaking lady that has lived in france and lives in brasil now i always mess up and say the French word in Brasil or the Portuguese word in France😂 I love your podcast, it's officially my new favorite!
Another great episode Sarah. I have a sister named Sarah and she is very artistic and love to crochet also … she is quiet good at it and so are you … I thinks ur really must be a Sarah thing. Love the Reminder camisole. I think I have to try to make one this summer. ❤
I made a cotton summer tee like yours which was fine at first but after wash and wear the straps are a little long for my liking. I'm thinking about marking where I would like the straps to sit and picking up stitches at the same distance each side of each strap then cutting the middle so I can unravel it to the length I've caught and graft the ends together with kitchener stitch. What do you think?
I wouldn't say "my crocheting", I would say my crochet and my knit. I would only use the word crocheting if I were saying, I AM crocheting (the act of doing). Eg. " I have a crochet project, or knit project, " "this is my crochet, this is my knit (project)". If you don't like the word crocheting, use, I am making a crochet project. Then the "ing" is on a doing word.
Hello beautiful Sarah 😊 Thanks for another perfect heart jumping episode😊 I think it’s funny how pronouncing “th “ is difficult for you although you gave “ th “ in the name of your country NeTHerlands “ I hear that you pronounce the “th” as a D, isn’t it funny how these words are. Keep smiling beautiful Sarah ❤
I think knit in French is tricot (although I am not a French speaker). I think knitting in Norwegian is strikking. BTW, I love your Dutch word for handworking adventures. How is it spelled? Handwerken peliculas? 27:35
Maybe a fan wouldn't make too much noise during your interesting podcasts! I don't like to be hot (I live in a cold climate) and feel sorry you are so warm during your podcasts.
It is “heart jumping” to me to watch your videos every week😊

I love your description of “knitting Sarah” and “crocheting Sarah” working together

I started a knitting journal! ❤ thank you!!! Please do talk about the book. Have a great weekend!

Have a nice weekend, lovely your chats from a chilly mid winter Tasmania
Thank you, Sarah! I enjoy and learn from your videos! Yes, UA-cam has many excellent tutorials, and books are important, too. I want to try the Remi! Thea, too!
Have a fabulous weekend Sarah xx❤️🇬🇧❤️🇬🇧❤️
i love listening to you ..... we learn when you "TEACH".
You might like the “obsessive cast off” by Ann Kingstone. It is a modified jssbo but uses the russian purl and makes two parallel rows of chain stitches. Much neater the the regular jssbo but stretchy and doesn’t flare out.
Your Remi is perfect and your hair is beautiful and I LOVE skirts with pockets! Thank you for sharing your charming personality with the internet ❤️
Previous episodes. Earlier episodes. I talked about it previously. Your English pronunciation is perfect, by the way!
Just love watching and listening about your knitting and crocheting. It would not make me feel happy to teach knitting either so I totally understand that. I love your phrase “heart jumping”. 👍🏻 ❤
Hi from Australia. I love your podcasts, thank you so much for doing the English ones as well.
Your podcast is my alltime favorite!
I have dutch roots but dont speak dutch and i love when you tell us the dutch words for things. As i was watching this I was practicing saying the dutch word for Green out loud, and my husband ran into the room thinking I was choking! 😂
I just love you and your personality :)
Here in Norway the word for knitting is "Strikke"
When I first started knitting, I hadn't discovered you tube or it possible didn't exist, and I couldn't understand the books and the pictures where more confusing. I didn't continue to try. But now that I have UA-cam I've become a knitter and love it and the knitting community.
Thank you for your podcast. I enjoy spending my time with you.
You inspire me to be a more peaceful maker and kinder to myself in general. ❤
Ps- you can also “tick” things off your list. I like “cross it off my list.”
I love the little green crochet top! The colors suit me! ❤

Thank you Sarah for a delightful and heart jumping video. Good weekend to you 😊🌷🌹🌄
Thank you Sarah for another lovely podcast. Inspiring. Have a good week-end 🙂
I always wondered the proper pronounciation of Scheepjes! Thank you Sarah! Loving your podcasts 💖💖💖 ps you can cross things off your to-do list x
Perhaps you want to ‘share your creativity’ with us 😃 Would that do maybe?

Sarah. I love your Remi top, and I would love to see how you knit such neat ribbing! In Spanish, "to knit" is "tejer" (pronounced tay-HAIR).
You got a great fit with the Ramie top.
Hi Sarah, love your Remi! I really need one of these in my life. Thank you for the inspiration 🎉
I am making the same sock pattern. I am using a yarn from Kluer en Draad called Handgeverfde wol. I think it's from The Netherlands. I thought it was fun to make the Dutch pattern with the Dutch wool that I found here in a yarn shop in Texas (US).
Your podcasts always make my “heart jump”! Thank you for sharing your passions in these lovely videos ❤️
They make my heart jump too! and I always say, "Hello Sarah!" with a smile on my face. Every single time :)
Another great podcast Sarah ! You might get a few English translations wrong, but I don't care, we understand what you mean (what your trying to say) and that's fine, it makes it unique. I love Saturday's morning so I can wake up and watch "It is a Sarah" have a lovely weekend.
It’s previous episodes (when they happened in the past) x
I like the crochet top you're test knitting very much. I wonder how difficult it would be to follow a crochet pattern.
Hi Sarah, this may have been mentioned in the comments already, but I've done a modified version of Jeny's stretchy bind-off before where I bind off.... I love Tunisian crochet because it's like a combination of knitting and crochet. Best of both worlds! Great vid
Loving the Holly Hobbie needlepoint in your intro! I had Holly Hobbie everything when I was a kid- lunchbox, doll, handmade dress my mom made.
and I Love to See your Podcast ❤In Italia is it: fatto a Maglia

In Spanish it’s Tejer. The verb to knit. ☺️

Love your podcast and your struggle with English
💖
Hi Sarah. Matt is also an English word for flat, or “not shiny”.
Love your Rami camisole. It looks great!
try Handiwork instead of hand-work. To be handy is to be good at making things with your hands x
I begin crocheting inspired by you..thank you ❤
❤

Expanded? Well, I love the black!
