The reason it was upside down was the box was designed to stand up showing the front image of the keyboard on the box cover. The heaviest part in that orientation is at the bottom with respect to that view allowing the box to more easily stand up. Just physics. Not a mistake.

I'm still using my G213 for nearly 3 years now and have no disappointments. RGB lighting layouts can be controlled with software so no issues for me. Lights are bright enough to see even during daylight hours. Totally smooth and typing sounds are subdued. They're quiet and don't annoy so not a deal breaker for me. I 'm a heavy duty (nearly every day) gamer and this keyboard continues to keep me on top of the leader boards. The comfortable wrist pad keeps me coming back for more even after a hard day's gaming. I've tried mechanical and really can't find a better gaming keyboard for the price. Purchasing mechanical is like buying a 300 dollar radiator to cool down your overclocked CPU when you should have just spent another 50 bucks for a better CPU at the speed you overclocked to (things that make you go, "Hmmm...?") Buy this board. You won't be disappointed.

Mechanical is still better, if you use membrane you have extra chromosomes

lots of people have problems with keys not beeing responsive,have to press it several times to register, me included, had to get rid of it cos its annoying.as.hell. lucky you got working one. its a lottery i guess.
I have owned this keyboard for nearly 3 years now, it feels amazing to type on and playing game with no issue at all. I bought a mechanical keyboard with linear red switch about a month ago, I just can't get used to it and now I'm switching back to this bad boy.
are you using it for gaming or typing ???
I have 2 mech keyboard and for gaming membrane cant compete with how god the Red Switch is
@@syarifairlangga4608 I'm using it for both gaming and typing. The mechanical keyboard with red switches is way too light and sensitive for me. I've tried a blue switches as well, the typing experience is great but it produces too much noise. This G213 has a great pressing feedback unlike other normal membrane keyboard and it doesn't sound like someone firing a machine gun when typing on it.
@@syarifairlangga4608 Me as a old school gamer since 20 years have tried out all kind of keyboards and can assure you that a mechanical keyboard don't matter in gaming. Since 3 years I use the "Razer DeathStalker" with chiclet keys. Razer don't produce it anymore. I'am very statisfied with it, more than any mechanical keyboard I owned.
Some of your footage looks like it would be logitech's own footage. Super well done.

I have been using this keyboard for 4 years now. Still works perfectly and the RGB is brightness is appropriate for me. The typing feel is great.No Complaints

I'd bought this one, it's good and comfortable. The main keyboard I wanted to by is Apex 3 steelseries, with a reduced noise and wheel ajustment for sounds. The palm can be place or not, depending on your style you wanted. I love bought brands but for me Apex 3 is way more better, unfortunately there's no stocks here in PH regions. It's rare, it's totally out of stock in every shops.
Logitech G213 is a republic to Razer but not as just that. Logitech G213 And other G's is a different allusion to Razer, Razer is a mouse that gaves you Aimbot, but not as much as it happens.
Fun Fact: Logitech and Razer sounds the same.

Also forgot, Razer And K95 RGB Platinum and Logitech G213 or Any numbers is sounding the same, but Some most keyboards are that really quiet/silence and noisy which is annoying and best for gaming. Luckily Logitech G has DPI, you can change it by going towards to the HUB.
Quick facts: Some most cheap less-RGB gaming keyboards doesn't have HUB just to change DPI. Unlike Logitech, Razer, And K95 RGB Platinum. They're powered RGB gaming keyboards.

First setup is my huntsman mini with purple clicky switches. My second setup is a kbd w outemu red switches, way less noisier. I prefer mecha kbds tho.

is better then membrane for me Im a pro typer but not as fast as other, I can only average a 70 but sometime 80wpm.
I had use membrane hyperx alloy core rgb

Tip- If the spacebar is a bit too quiet for you, take off the key, take out the limiter rod, and put the key back on.

I bought this keyboard at a local Goodwill for $3 and 50 cents… wanted to learn more about it since I bought it on a whim. Very happy w my purchase :]
For a start, I only use keyboards made from titanium. For this plastic keyboard to feel 'plasticy' make me a little upset.
However, I would be absolutely livid about the keyboard not being the same way as the image on the cover. If it was the same way, I would be livid, full of utter anger if I opened the box and it was upside down! How dare they!
Next, and please, dont get me started on this one...
I flex my keyboard at least twice a day. And you're saying it hasn't got much flex in it! How on earth can they sell this thing! It needs more flex damn it!

I use this keyboard and have for about the majority of this year and it has served me well.
Edit: I bought a new keyboard. This one is really really really loud compared to my new one. I got the Logitech G512 Carbon and it’s good. It is mechanical and is actually made of metal. The customisation features are better. If you are looking for a high end keyboard I’d go for the Carbon.

I bought this one for a crazy 39.99€ on Black Friday. 100% worth it for that price, I still want a proper mechanical, but this keyboard sounds great and it has a lot of functions. I was scared of the wrist rest since I never used one but it's very comfortable. The only gripe I have with it is that the LEDs only work on zones and not on single keys, but who am I to complain lol. Worth it at that price point, but if you have to pay full price you're probably better off with another keyboard.
Yo quick question, do the keys make any noises which could disturb my other family members?
@@furkanuyar5355 Somewhat, they are membrane so they are more or less quiet, however they still simulate a slight mechanical noise. Nothing much, but it may disturb someone if he's sleeping in the room with you. If noise is a problem I would suggest getting a silent membrane keyboard made for office work, not a mechanical or mechanical-feeling.

@@krish-kg4ec not OP, but if you're looking for responsiveness you can find a decent TKL mechanical keyboard for probably around the same price as the G213.
So basically, this is the full sized keyboard of the Logitech G-Pro keyboard

Thanks for the review. The keyboard makers seem hellbent on making the dedicated media keys and the right windows key the price to pay for backlighting, so I better snatch a few G213s before they're discontinued.
I was looking for a replacement Keyboard, and this was the only one available. Bought it, didn't disappoint. cant beat good old reliable
I've used it for 5 years. It hasn't degraded.
Tho it has quality control problems and manufacturing tolerance problems. Like the ctrl, space, and numpad 0 I had to pop the key out, shove a bit of cardboard under and put it back on so it would consistently press.
If I pressed those keys without modification before they would not click half the time.
Just leaving this here. my brother (Heavy gamer, specifically for fps games) has used this keyboard for about 5 years with MINIMAL issues which he pretty much faced only in the past few months (it just became harder to press that's it), so for a membrane keyboard its genuinely amazing and well worth the price if you don't want to buy a mechanical keyboard (I myself have a good mechanical keyboard)
The harder to press thing might be that he spilled drinks onto it and the sugar got in the contact points of some keys, making them not slide as well.
I know I had that problem, a quick popping out the keys and washing them along with the contact points did the trick.
There's a program called Volumouse that lets you change volume with a mouse wheel.
I found out that the RGB Leds aren't weak, but it's the rubber membranes making the light weaker
It just it glow the lettter but aren't still bright enough.

The G213 Prodigy i just bought sounds very different, it has a really nice soft and smooth feel and sound. Does not sound clicky at all whihc is nice. And just the sound and feel is so satisfying. I don't know what it sounds so different in the video.
The sound is different cause he lifts the fingers super fast, so they snap against the plastic. He clicks faster and stronger than you.

As someone who's used this keyboard since it released (2016 Production Model) and had just bought a new 2020 Production Model. There's two things to note about the production quality.
The 2016 Model (and most models up to early 2020) have a braided cable and a premium, refined USB-A Connection but slightly dimmer key lighting.
The Mid 2020 Model (and onwards) has a plain rubber connector, slightly cheaper USB-A Connector housing, though with brighter lights (they will look the same with most colours).
Neither are bad. If you want a brighter light on some colours , go for a more recent production model. If you want the better, sturdier feeling cable (which most won't care about), hunt down a 2016-E2020 model.

i just got one its actually quite good for a membrane keyboard the wrist wrest feels super nice
The gaming mode is really good and helpful for Fifa on PC. Especially when you play online

Flex really isn't a big deal I'm not sure why people test for that.
I bought this keyboard last year and I had no complaints or whatsoever and I got the logitech sticker I think they included it in the box now

I’m considering buying this keyboard alongside the G102 Lightsync mouse, to replace my chinese Silver Line keyboard that is missing the TAB key, and a Israeli-branded mouse that i’m borrowing from a friend. I like the RGB so I can play at night without needing to have my lights on. Israeli stores sell the keyboard with Hebrew keys with English, so I could use it without needing to buy stickers.

if you have 70 dollars and can do without rgb, i recommend getting the g413 instead. Romer G mechanical switches and an aluminium frontplate.
It's rugged to sh1t and i can type almost by just coughing on the keys, since romer g reacts to just a small keypress.
Mecha-dome switches don't make any sense at all, just get a good dome or get mechanical for cheap.
You talk about this keyboard being cheap for 70$. However it is actually quite expensive given it is a membrane keyboard.
For anyone watching this today, I don't recommend this keyboard. It costs 70 dollars and, even though its on sale for 50, just isn't worth it.
Pros:
It's full-sized (situational)
It has a wrist-rest
It has media buttons (Volume button, mute button, etc)
It has a game mode key
Spill-resistant.
Cons:
It's a membrane.
Bad stabilizer keys. Don't be fooled by sound tests, I have this keyboard and all of the stabilizer keys sound bad.
Bad customization. It only has 5 RGB sections, limiting the customization.
Meh RGB. Its fine in the dark, but lets be honest, you'll be using this keyboard in the light most of the time.
It's overpriced. Even for the discounted 50 dollar price, you could get an RK61 for that price, a BUDGET mechanical keyboard that's good and has the option for tactile switches, clicky switches, or normal switches. You get more options for the same price.
The only colour available is black, which means you'll be able to see every bit of dust and grime.
Oh, and don't trust the whole "tactile key" thing. The actuation force is comparable to Cherry MX Browns, which are advertised as tactile switches yet in reality, don't have that much tactility. It's only very slightly tactile.
Do NOT get this keyboard. If you want a good gaming experience, just get an RK61, it's the same price, yet it's a lot better. And if you need a full-sized one, don't get this either. No point in paying 50-70 dollars for the ability to go full-sized, there's plenty others out there for cheaper.

I used the Logitech G710+ Mechanical Tactile for years and I love it, but its really big, expensive, 2 USB ports required, and my current keyboard the Logitech MX I am not very happy with, so I'm on the lookout for a new keyboard. Do you think I would like the G213 coming from this experience?
