I don't like to see this kind of videos even though i'm vegan because I can't see the suffering that animals has to go through because of our traditional lifestyle, but this video it's one of those you can use for try to change the mentality of people I hope that all the effort it took to you to make this video and give a voice for those who doesn't have one has a impact in the world
I appreciate that! It breaks my heart every time i come across footage like this one and i know that nobody likes to see it or be involved in it so i hope educational videos like this get more attention and further impact our morality (also to combat climate change, etc)! Thank you again🙏
Most ppl follow their traditions blindly. Agree with you on traditions/cultures doesn't equal ethical. I've been Vegan over 8 years and it still breaks my heart this time of year. Great video, thanks for making it. Subscribed👍💚
This season is for sure the hardest time of the year for most vegans, knowing all bad things happen on a larger scale. But i’m glad more people have been waking up and making the connection, and that we’re creating a ‘new’ culture and it’s expanding faster than ever! Thank you🙏
Since Bradford wrote of how the colonists had hunted wild turkeys during the autumn of 1621 and since turkey is a uniquely American bird, it gained traction as the Thanksgiving meal of choice for Americans after Lincoln declared Thanksgiving a national holiday in 1863. So like we all have said it was a cultural and traditional thing to do. But as we all now know, tradition does not morally justify the practice. It's cruel, and weird to think that such an amazing animal has been reduced to what we do today. No honor. Humans should be ashamed. I loved the comparison to Yulin. They are both cruel and have no place in society on any level. Thanks for this video. I subscribed because of it. Great Comparison with just the right amount of 'bad images' to get people thinking, without taking away from the point. Thank you a lot of work went into it and I thank you.
Something I keep asking myself is at which point did the animal lost its identity as a living creature? Once people open the package the animal starts being a product. Ask them to kill an animal in order to eat it and believe me they rather have veggies on the table. Ask them to cook their own pet and they will kill you🙈🙊. The world is crazy, man🤪. Thank you for the video. Always great material👍
Exactly! (sorry for the late response) It’s crazy to think most of us aren’t even aware that we evolved this speciesism. But it should be so simple to see as we still see dogs and cats as individual and unique beings. It’s true that once we see animals as “livestock” we lose the “ability” to zoom in and see the individuals and instead see them as a group that is subject to exploitation. Crazy world.
Yeah, it's really weird how the pardoning is such a big thing when people just go home and eat turkeys after. I wish they taught about this in schools. Bring bag the tradition of a cornucopia! I bet most people forget what that is lol. It's like a horn shaped basket full of fruit and vegetables. Put that in the center of your table instead.
I know right, the pardoning really makes zero sense, it’s a false representation of “freedom”, plus the turkey usually die within a month after it because of the genetic manipulation… these holidays just keep reminding us of how weird humanity is haha. That basket does sound perfect🙌💯
This vdo is such an eye opener fr anyone who has a heart that feels. Thumbnail shows tht its not food bt life taken away. I truly admire wat you doing🙏👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻and evrytim am amazed with the cool, calm composure u speak out the truth with determination in ur voice. Hats off and i wish u best of luck✌🏻🙌🏻☘️☘️☘️
It is strange when you try and think about why certain traditions started and in particular why certain animals get killed, did they just have Turkeys around in North America at that time? I'm glad you mentioned the Yulin festival because people get outraged over that, cognitive dissonance at it's worst.
Exactly. Everyone is a victim of cognitive bias and we know we can’t escape it, but we can be more aware of how it works and that will help us see things more objectively and from the victim’s point of view. Thanks Damaris!🙌

Why do you guys think people/you eat turkey on thanksgiving? 🦃
