Das wird wirklich schön. Aber es ist noch ein Stück Weg bis zur fertigen Küche und da wird die Familie noch Geduld brauchen. Ich sehe immer wieder, wie genial die Erfindung der Taschenlöcher ist.
Just what the doctor ordered!!! switched on my computer to see I have another addition thing to watch, A wonderful way to spend some time on a Saturday afternoon. Thank you!!!!
I appreciate how much details you leave in your videos, everyone has something to offer to others by sharing their skills. Looking forward to seeing this kitchen completed ❤❤❤❤
I am always in awe of all you do and with kids running around too. I’m lucky if I can get the dishes done and the laundry folded. A great inspiration you sure are.
11/13/23 ahh yes Matt, your cabinet design & making skills are mighty fine! Love your well equipped shop...those Triton tools look good too! Stay safe & carry on!💪🪚🍷😊
Great work, Matt, I have to say, I’ve been looking forward to your kitchen fit-out even more than the build-out. And you met my expectations. Loving watching the tips/tricks along the way. Once again putting my millwork contractors to shame. I need to email some of them a link to your channel lol.
Woodworking, par excellence, Matt. You make it all seem so easy, and your precision is incredible. As an engineer and woodworking hobbyist, I learnt a lot from this video. Thanks.
This kitchen build is incredibly inspiring. I'm doing my own build sometime in the next year or so and this is encouraging me to aim very high. It looks so good.
Love watching a furniture maker doing basic carpentry. Did you ever think of using the track saw to cut closer to the scribe line rather than using a jig saw so you did not have so much planning to do? Can not wait to see the completed kitchen. Have a great Thanksgiving. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
The track saw is laying on the floor next to the cabinet. The track clamps ended up in line with the bottom of the so I couldn’t use them. Didn’t have room to turn it on it’s side
Your a master using about anything, but particularly I'm impressed as how well you can use both the woodchisel and handplane, nether of them are an easy craft to just pic up and learn in your leisure.
Good Morning & Happy Veteran's Day Matthew! I was just wondering why with all of the great woodworking tools that you have in your shop that you don't use a Beismeyer Sliding Table on your table saw???.... Happy Woodworking! Sincerely. the old Montana cowboy, Frank Scherping😊
55th comment, hutch is a tad large for the space. It could have been a few inches skinnier for door clearance. People may hit the corners going in and out. Hey, I have to say something. :)
One wonders how many times you argued with yourself “nobody will know” vs “I will know”. I’m guessing I will know wins in almost all cases, but it’s got to be a challenge at times.
I can not wait for the top of this cabinetry. Your work is just so Beautiful. Are you having any glass in any doors? I made several stained glass door panels with bevel 4" square corners. Then 2 pieces of thin wood trim for a nice simple curve design in each glass panel from 3/4 way up, then curved to the opposite bottom corner, in each door glass piece, on a few doors. Then had back lighting. Turned out so pretty. Most doors of cabinetry were wood, Birch.
Matt fine cabinet craftsmanship I like to see that…. Matt I’m sure you know but Thomasville cabinetry still offers horizontal and Vertical grain cabinet grade sheet wood
30:33 which levelers are you using and what tool is it that you are using to adjust the height? They look like Titus, but I’m not family with the adjustment tool.
So many people do not know what a buffet is. When food is prepared and presented for people to carry a plate by an array of entrees. Vs table service where a plate is brought already filled but not where portions are made by the guest. Buffet is very individual and more appropriate since some people may pass on potatoes want salt or pepper etc., and double down on vegetables or salad. Buffet ststions are rarely used unless you host parties or family gathering of 8 or more. Otherwise filling plates from the kitchen is better. The center of a large table can act as the buffet. In America furniture calle Credenza and side boards store all the plates bowls etc. Table cloths etc. etc. Traditions are often gone, now a free for all. No candles Mr. Dracula, TV trays more the norm or everyone running to their own computer station and zoning out.
Are the three inner stiles 3/4” so you’re flush on both sides of the plywood dividers? Also if you don’t have a domino what do you recommend to use instead? Or just careful glue, clamp and pocket screws?
Great build Matt, I also live in Minnesota and struggle to find good pre finished plywood for cabinets. Can you recommend some good places? Thanks for all the great information!
That’s what it is. Hasn’t changed much since the last set up video How Do I Keep all this Organized? - Setting up the Barn & Answering Questions ua-cam.com/video/tD2HGG_39NE/v-deo.html
Please remember to put an electrical outlet in that wall for the cabinet/hutch before completing and installing it. I'm sure you will, having thought ahead of every other minute detail, but I'm just sayin'. 🙂
Matt are you stiles and rails 3/4” on the face frame? Or did you add 2 panels on the interior to make it flush? Also what’s your door design inset or overlay?
Are you going to use Man-Made stone for the counter tops? Here in Australia they are working towards banning it due to the health risk it poses to the workers lungs, silicosis is killing/damaging so many lungs.
What type plywood are you using for the bottoms & side panels? What levelling feet did you use? Also you pocket holed the center panels into the face frame - are those screws left exposed - just covered because of the drawers?
dumb question. Why did you not finish wall behind the cabinet ? I know it will be hidden by the cabinet and the wall on the the room on the opposite side will be finished. But you have finished off all the other walls that cabinets hiide. Just wondering why not this wall. The work is excellent as always.
Good to see I am not the only one who can't get a straight cut with a Jig saw !!!!
No one can ! lol except maybe Norm 🤔
@@danielgeng2306 all hail Norm
I love the ambient audio of the family doing their thing in the background.
Das wird wirklich schön. Aber es ist noch ein Stück Weg bis zur fertigen Küche und da wird die Familie noch Geduld brauchen.

Just what the doctor ordered!!! switched on my computer to see I have another addition thing to watch, A wonderful way to spend some time on a Saturday afternoon. Thank you!!!!
It’s an addition thing!
Loved watching you scribe the face frame to the farmers sink. Everyone seems to think it is easy, until you do one.
Amen - it's not always as easy as it looks Matt !! LOL.
Insanely obsessed with perfection. Well done, sir. Beautiful cabinetry.
It is going to be worthy of a TV cooking show when you finish. It is looking great, Matt!
A good cup of coffee, a nice breakfasty snack and M.C. vids. What's not to love?! As always nice work!
UV hardwood plywood is the only way to go for the interior of cabinets!!! Good choice 👍🏻
Nice work! Coming along. You gotta show your current kitchen you’re cooking in. We need to know the struggle.
I appreciate how much details you leave in your videos, everyone has something to offer to others by sharing their skills.
Looking forward to seeing this kitchen completed ❤❤❤❤
That’s the cleanest construction site I have seen in my life ❤
Once again, just showing support. Thanks for sharing your progress with us.

So so nice. Loved hearing the kiddos playing in the back ground, hahaha
You are are meticulous. It’s refreshing to see you work. I’m so appreciative of the work ethic!
Matt, Very nice lower cabinet work! That sink fits perfectly….I wonder why? Congrats! Lindsay should be happier….haha!
I am always in awe of all you do and with kids running around too. I’m lucky if I can get the dishes done and the laundry folded. A great inspiration you sure are.
Great episode. Demolition and fine carpentry in the same hour.
11/13/23 ahh yes Matt, your cabinet design & making skills are mighty fine! Love your well equipped shop...those Triton tools look good too! Stay safe & carry on!💪🪚🍷😊
Beautifully executed work. But it hurts to see that wonderful spalted maple painted white...
It felt no pain
Using clamps as feet to keep the face-frame verticle is clever.
Matt you are one talented man, can’t wait to see the finished product!
I so look forward to seeing your progress on the kitchen! Beautiful work so far.
Don’t skip the painting! It’s so satisfying
Matthew, you inspire me so. Such quality work, but with a straight forward approach.

What a joy it it to see such a skilled designer/builder at work with his explanations to follow along.
Your workmanship is (as always) impressing
You are more than a pretty face.. YOU KNOW YOUR STUFF..! Bravo... master level build.. very good , indeed...!
It is a a huge complex job to renovate. The craftsmanship going into this renovation is something else.
Woodworking, par excellence, Matt. You make it all seem so easy, and your precision is incredible. As an engineer and woodworking hobbyist, I learnt a lot from this video. Thanks.
WOW, LOOKING GREAT !!
VERY impressive, Matt!

Your attention to detail is amazing 🎉🙋♀️💖🇨🇱
So great to see the progress
Good Morning Cremona Family.
Wonderful work so far. It is shaping up nicely Matt.
Well done Matthew.
Lots of "things" to consider, Matt !!
Matt you have tackled one hell of a job! Looks great and thanks for the tips along the way. 😎
The attention to detail is amazing. Great work!

I love everything, except that you painted that beautifully spalted maple.
Your kitchen project is coming along nicely. Thanks for sharing Matt.
I love the door you removed I hope you can find somewhere to reinstall it.
Love watching you work, great job. 😊
Beautiful work, excellent cabinetry skills. It will look awesome.
Thank you for an other enjoyable video. You make it look so easy. Can’t wait to see the end result. Regards to all.

Looking fabulous Matt, lovely to see tangible progress ❤
One wonders how many times you argued with yourself “nobody will know” vs “I will know”. I’m guessing I will know wins in almost all cases, but it’s got to be a challenge at times.
As is the life of a wood worker. "I will know" always won in my head and the primary reason I stopped doing woodworking.
I can not wait for the top of this cabinetry. Your work is just so Beautiful. Are you having any glass in any doors? I made several stained glass door panels with bevel 4" square corners. Such meticulous work!! Shows a great talent, Matt, you are very good at the woodcrafting!!
Good video.
The built in charging tray sounds like one of those things that sounds good in theory, but will never be used in practice
Awesome job Matt! 😃👍🏼👊🏼
Very nice so far.
Diazo print construction documents wow!
Amazing job....
Matt fine cabinet craftsmanship I like to see that…. Matt I’m sure you know but Thomasville cabinetry still offers horizontal and Vertical grain cabinet grade sheet wood
I don’t know anything about plywood 😂
I like the dragon supervising your work
Great work!!

@20:42 the box on the table says "Vegetable Chopper". That would be a knife.
Very meticulous. You must have a very patient wife. Great video

NOPE
Are the three inner stiles 3/4” so you’re flush on both sides of the plywood dividers? Also if you don’t have a domino what do you recommend to use instead? Or just careful glue, clamp and pocket screws?
just how much do you like having that barn/ware house walking distance from your shop?
Matt how much of your own milled timber are you using in your refurbishment it’s looking so good Lindsay must be wishing it was all finished
None thus far. Thanks!
Beautiful work as always Matt. a real labour of love. man I love scribing hahah my colleagues call me the Lord of the scribe 😂
Great build Matt, I also live in Minnesota and struggle to find good pre finished plywood for cabinets. Can you recommend some good places? Thanks for all the great information!
All the plywood I’m using is from Industrial in Minneapolis. It’s the only “real” plywood I’ve ever bought
First, beautiful work as always. Second, where do you get those steel-toed work socks?
That ‘barn’ looked more like a warehouse, perhaps a walk through of the building?
That’s what it is. Hasn’t changed much since the last set up video

The wiring in waiting in the wall
Matt are you stiles and rails 3/4” on the face frame? Or did you add 2 panels on the interior to make it flush?
Also what’s your door design inset or overlay?
I’ll have to pad one side out by 1/4” when mounting the slides. There’s inset

Prefinished maple 3/4”; Hafele axilo; yes, they’ll be obstructed from view by the drawers. All but the bottom ones got covered by the rail stiffeners
What kind of paint are you using?
Matt, what are those feet you used under the unit, and the tool you used to raise and lower them?
Hafele axilo system
@@mcremonaThat's gangsta, thank you kindly.
nice
Is that inch plywood you’re using for the box of the cabinets and what is the veneer species?
3/4” prefinished maple
Can you use the scrap for your wood burning stove or grill?
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Matt show wide is your workbench top?
24”
What is the moisture content of the wood you’re using for your face frames
I haven’t checked
When you give dimensions, please give metric and then non-metric. That will help make Americans more comfortable with the metric system.
So those black things stay in place under the base cabinet?
Yes, the front ones will hold the skirting
Did you do the blueprints, too?
Our architect did the design and drawings

But you have finished off all the other walls that cabinets hiide. Just wondering why not this wall. The work is excellent as always.
Just the area where the backsplash will go is finished to provide a flat backing for the tile
❤
Is there a reason why you build the face frame before the case.
It’s the part that matters
That's the only way to do it correctly
What is the cabinet tool used at 29:50? Thanks.
