lloyd stockman thanks so much man, means a lot! I’m not very funny, definitely not cool neither so I just stick to being chilled and honest. Cheers mate 😁
uhhh nice, you know your way around modal scales. :) Not bad! Thanks for the compliment, Lydian always sounds dreamy to me so it comes naturally every time I'm in that mood. haha!
I knew when they released Julia v2 that my dream chorus was gonna be from Walrus. When they released their Julianna, I knew I was double screwed. That is currently the chorus on my board!
@Kris what I find brilliant is that the d-c-v knob is exactly just a mix knob. All choruses work by mixing the dry signal with a slightly delayed, modulated signal. Walrus just lets you control the mix percentage!
Telecasters are so sick. The pedal was very cool too. I'm constantly looking for new chorus pedals but never end up pulling the trigger. Somebody gave a cheap delta labs analog chorus many years ago, it sounds so good with my fender amp. Makes weird noise when I'm not playing though, like its swooshing in the background.
Never been a huge fan of chorusing. Some players tend to lay it on too thick. But this pedal sure does sound great! I could deal with one on my board. But man! I gotta say, that Tele is sweet as honey! Awesome guitar!
TheAxe4Ever Thanks man, this tele is very Special to me. Yeah same here with chorus. Give me ALL the delay and reverb and I’ll be happy. With modulation it’s different. I like it sweet and tasty. Haha! Cheers man
Absolutely beautiful sounds from the pedal. I've come to expect that from Walrus pedals. I too am a huge fan of the artwork and design with all pedals. Seems to be a big part of it! And the play of words on the name.... Of course your playing was awesome as usual.... that said... Coming from a Kouch Kowboy I wonder how it would sound through some regular equipment? What I mean by that is I have a Player Tele and an old Peavey 112 Bandit at this point. Sold the MK2 and my Marshall so just a thought what the lower end equipment would sound like. Would Thomann let me "borrow" the Revv? ;) Thanks for the video. Top shelf stuff as usual Kris.
Thanks a lot Steve! Good thing about Modulation effects is that they sound pretty much the same with all amps as long as they have a decent clean sound. Even with solid state amps. Borrow gear from Thomann for a video? Sure, all you have to do is shoot over a 1000 videos for them. Haha! Take care my friend
Secrets don’t make friends but make surprise parties fun! Surprise options are fun too like the coil split on my SC custom, it wasn’t on the description but ohh that split coil middle position tone mmmmm so tasty
What do you think about the Walrus Julia compared to the Julianna? Not considering the stereo function (not interested in this option: I don't want to use two amps together), of course. Thanks.
The Julia is fantastic for mono! They share the main features and the core sound so if you like this one, you won’t be disappointed in the Julia. Cheers
Better? Worse? Is there such thing at this quality level? I really don’t think so. The Julianna is more versatile, more tweakable and prettier. Haha! Both do their own thing and I personally prefer this over the waza. But that’s totally personal of course. Cheers
Well you see... 1. if you give a normal title (like a product name) nobody clicks on it -> pointless video 2. I only do fair clickbait -> it might be a little over reacted but I do mean what I write. Cheers
@@KrisBarocsi i know you are one off the most fair/honest gear reviewers on yt and i like you're vids . , I also understand you have to draw people's attention , but if you watch a lot off yt gear vids ( like i do ) then sometimes you get a little fed up with the same title's and vids . Like in any business there's a lot off competion so you have to do something to draw people in , but if everybody is doing the same thing , well ... just like i said , it gets boring after a while . Now , i'm no yt creator , but isn't it possible to think out off the box and find a new way to draw people in ? That being said , it's always easy to comment , but not so easy to find a solution , keep up the good work , greetings from holland. ps : i also think that if somebody would find a new angle to these "clickbait " titles , that within a week every other yt creator would start to copy it , so yeah , i think it's a bit hopeless ( sadly enough ) .
antoon hermans I agree with everything you write man. It’s unfortunate, but it’s how it is. Also, I’m just a guitar player and a guitar tech, not a creative marketing mastermind. Haha! I’m trying hard figuring out a better Thumbnail and title style, it’s not easy though. Sooo for now I’ll just stick to making the best content I can and try to get as many people as possible to click that damn video. Haha! Cheers man
I hope you guys enjoy my demo! :)
Here's an affiliate link to the Julianna, check it out for yourselves: bit.ly/3k0x3BD
Take care and have a nice one!
Nice pedal. Walrus putting out what I didn’t know I wanted. Your positive vibes make this channel a nice place of calm. Love it

Great channel Kris. Thanks for another useful and enjoyable video!
Why is it everytime you show something I want one
It’s warm and. Cool I want!
Thank you Kris .. love the Rev D20

Brother, it's my favourite too.
In India it's called raag yaman, the evening raag (the mood)
And I'm listening it at evening 😀
Awesome video and review, as usual! 🤘🏻

First song is called “Ain’t talking about copyright”? ;)
Copyright? Nah man, I'm talking about love! :D You see what I did there? 😉
I was like, what Julianna? Its Julia, dude ... haha nope ... Its Julianna ... and it have tap tempo ... and it is AWESOME ... I need one
I'll try harder next time. Haha! Cheers!
All the expression and tap options your chorus could want and a hidden switch 🤘🏽 for super secret sounds 🤫
Poo Ninja it’s all about the secret sauce, isn’t it? 🧐😂

I like that you say here is my clean tone whilst playing a telecaster then immediately switch to a Les Paul...
😂 fair enough. At least I played the Tele with the Julianna before showing the bypass sound. How did you like the chorus?
@@KrisBarocsi it sounds good - especially the tele tones...

how to stomp on the daft and distantly placed footswitches?
Ah... yes! If this doesn't help you get you're 80's on... what will? Rock on Kris! 😎🤘🎸🐦
is the Boss waza craft ce2w better?

you got some nice stuff out of it, but i am still not into chorus. i'll stick with a univibe.
