I think this will be my first (and probably last) premium Bible purchase. Looks great for me. Looking for a nonstudy Bible to really live in for years.
Sigh..the NASB without the Literal footnotes is rather lackluster. Thats the best part! Great review, thanks for sharing.
I love this Bible! I like it better than the Schuyler (Quentel)...I can't stop reading it, there something about the font that just has me wanting to read more...this NASB with the MacArthur study bible NASB 🔥🔥

I have this bible and the gutter issues seem solved in the one I have.
Excellent PRINT and not too many words per line so very readable.

I recently got this one and it’s awesome, definitely my forever Bible.
I just ordered one of these from Evangelical Bible 20 minutes ago. They are running a discount special right now. The original price was $199; I bought it for $100. This is one of the most beautiful layouts I have ever seen. It will be alongside my favorite TBS Westminster KJV side column reference bible.
These two translations are my absolute favorites.

I bought this with a burgundy colored cover. It was at Mardels and it was 50% off at only $100. I also had a $25 gift card. I could not pass this up. I wanted a premier Bible for a long time now but didn’t want to spend $200. Awesome Bible.

I have this in PREMIER And regular LEATHER. So like it a lot. Insides are same with RED hilites.
A genuine leather version? All I can find is the leathersoft alternative and would love to hear more. I have the NKJV classic verse by verse center column reference in genuine leather and it's incredible, rivals the premier IMO. If this block has similar alternative I'd be highly interested.
Holman WILL do large PRINT personal SIZE in April 2022. For NASB 95.
They HAVE done so in other translations already. About 11.25 font in about 8.5 x 5.5. X 1.25. Assortment of covers and colours. A GOLDILOCKS size bible. Holman hits a homerun with these BIBLES before NASB 95 even comes out in this PS..large PRINT.

The missing footnotes is a bummer, but I guess you could always have the NASB on your phone next to you to check the footnotes.
I want red letter, thumb indexed, with the comfort print, Study Bible. I can't seem to find my Goldilocks Bible, either from Amazon or Christianbook.com. I feel as though I'm a duck out of water because I honestly want and prefer the red letter text and a thumb index. I have two different versions that I use for reading only, and both were very inexpensive and both have red letter and thumb index. No references or study helps though because I purchased them for kick back reading only. But I want one almost premium Bible that I can write in, highlight, and underline in the NAS but can't seem to find one. I know you have a decent following so if there is anyone out there who can steer me to the Bible I described above, would you mind adding a reply to my comment? Thank you.

This is probably the ONLY expensive SCT ..SCR I will buy but it is beautiful. Readable

It is about 10 words per line so perfect for me. Good dark PRINT. My favourite NASB 95 bible in regular LEATHER. And GOATSKIN IS NICE . AND it is nice to smell and hold. IF you are sitting down. GUTTER PROBLEM FIXED IN MINE.
I like that text is NOT too wide for reading. My best NASB 95.
Beautiful layout and readable. Red HILITES. References also readable mostly.
I bought this bible, I can NOT find a proper sized bible cover for it. I prefer leather or faux leather...do you have any ideas?!?
I like BLACK LETTER NOW THAT MY EYES ARE GETTING OLDER. I HAVE THIS IN GOATSKIN AND COWHIDE. SAME INSIDE. IF EVEN SIDE COLUMN REFERENCES WERE LEGIBLE ..WITHOUT MAGNIFYING GLASS.. FOR ME AT LEAST. .THIS MIGHT BE MY FAVOURITE BIBLE. OTHER WOULD BE NKJV CENTER COLUMN REFERENCE WITH. .RED HILITES. BOTH HAVE GOOD PRINT.AND WHITE SPACING. . .
If they had pulled that text just a hair more out of that gutter this bible would be the best NASB out there IMHO.
They had plenty of space to do so , I don't know why these things happen but I have seen it many times.
I really think Nelson and Zondervan could benefit from sending out page samples to reviewers. Or they could send photo samples to hear opinions on these things .
I think the Humble Lamb approach can create long term relationships. When a publisher listens to their customers it's a win win for both parties.

I received mine yesterday but in leathersoft. One thing that bothers me that you didn't mention is the verse numbers are very tiny. That's one of my negatives. But overall I am loving this Zondervan NASB SCR WM Bible. My other Bible I am going to get this year is the Zondervan NASB Preachers Bible. Looking forward to that review. Good job on your review of NASB SCR Bible Premier Collection.

Why eliminate the notes while retaining the maps?? In this day and age of the computer, none of these bibles should be coming with things like maps and concordances. Let’s do everything we can to squeeze larger fonts with larger margins into smaller overall dimensions instead!!

Michael Reed I ordered the double Column preachers NASB . It’s thinner, and verse by verse aswell.

Darker print in NASB SCT is darker than Quentel. AND half the price. And thicker less floppy goatskin in mine. #2 always tries harder. As Avis used to say.

I like that NASB 95 IN PREACHING BIBLE. INDENTS AND OFFSETS CONVERSATIONS EVEN FROM GOD AS IN GENESIS 17. 1..2 AS DOES LSB.
The lack of reference notes and the verses running into the gutter draws a major fail for this edition, Zondervan fix this and you’ll have a winner on your hands.
Great review. If you could only choose one, either the ZSCR and LSCR for regular reading and study, which would it be?
I like this one. The paper and print are much better than my older Lockman.
This is one of 2 single column texts i like.
WOW... it does not have all the translators´notes??? That is very disappointing, I thought it did :( I agree they should put the references inside and add the full set of translators notes. Is the leathersoft also art-gilded? I have seen some photos on Facebook that look like it is.

I OBSERVE QUENTEL PR8NT IS BIG BUT NOT DARK OR BOLD. SO HARD TO READ. BUT NICE TO SMELL AND HOLD.
On the NKJV premium. That leather is so soft the spine has become very lose. Like the spine is floating when the Bible is open. Do you think this will have the same problem? Thanks!
I thnk the spine ribs help strengthen it.
Is this the new verse by verse one? I bought the vbv nkjv but stil waiting to get it as I'm in south Africa and a family member is bringing it back from the USA for me.

The non goatskin cover is more sturdy. AND CHEAPER. I THINK IS GENUINE LEATHER. MAY BE LEATHER LIKE BUT VERY VERY NICE.
Did you find the overcast stitching in the back? I can only find it in the front. Is it usually front and back? It is in the NIV preaching bible
It's only in the front. This is common, but I'm not sure why.
Well if it’s lacking literal footnotes and references and also texts falling into gutter is there a better version ?

Hi Robert. It's edge-lined leather. I don't know what kind of leather.
@@BibleBuyingGuide thank you for your time and response! Someone told me that Zondervan stated it was bonded leather, but I can't confirm that. I was just curious if you had heard the same thing.
Robert Van Allen Jr. this is a very soft goatskin leather. So soft it feels like a leather driving glove. I’d rather have something a little stiffer for this size bible.

This is a beautiful Bible. Too bad the text rolls so far into the gutter, an unforgivable oversight in my opinion, an eight of an inch would help , possibly not enough though. I think I will wait till the new version of the Thompson Chain comes out this year hopefully assuming they make it in NASB, OH I hope so. Or go with a Cambridge wide margin.
They've actually fixed it in the 2nd edition. The TCR will be excellent. I'm not sure when the NASB will be available, though.
NKJV will be great too, Either would suit me. Both great translations for me. How Can you tell it is 2nd edition?

Frhaat kind of money you shouldn’t have a gutter problem.. ( my opinion)
I think in later e.g. this month..gutter is bigger.
Could you explain what those numbers are at the bottom of the page, just beneath where you pointed at "Printed in China?"
Gutter no issue in mine.
The words are too close to the gutter. That kind of ruins it for me.
Nice Bible but the text is too far into the gutter! A little more to the center would make this Bible irresistible for those who do not want to spend 200 plus dollars for a good Bible.

The text going into the gutter like that really bothers me. They definitely should have moved it away from the gutter. They are not marketing it as a note takers Bible so I don’t know why they left so much margin on the right side. It is also a shame that they did not include all the translators notes. Did they include all of the cross references that the translators included? There was plenty of room to include all the notes so I don’t know why they didn’t. Also it seems really floppy for such a large Bible.

I absolutely love the Lockman / foundation publications version, it’s my favorite Bible layout. This one is highly disappointing because of 1) no space in gutter 2) no space at bottom 3) no footnotes!! 4) not as many cross references. They took away the best features. Two thumbs down!
