How to Make Homemade Tostones - Two Ways! | Smashed, fried plantains

  • Tostones are always best when they’re freshly made! 🤤 Super easy to do at home, with or without a tostonera!
    Ingredients:
    • Greenish plantains
    • Vegetable oil
    “Mayuketchup”
    • 3 tbsp of good quality mayonnaise
    • 1.5 tbsp ketchup (or to taste)
    • 1 tsp garlic powder
    • black pepper to taste
    • salt to taste

    I cant wait to attempt to make this! I do have a question; when you are frying the plaintain (before they have been mashed), how long do you fry them before removing them from the pan?

      Try to fry them until they are slightly golden on both sides!
