Is it at all possible to unscrew the oil filter cap by hand? I don’t have that tool that you have.

Mmmmm i don’t think so unless you have a very good grip and strength, although it’s not tighten a lot it get tight as the o ring around the cap gets dry and expands with time. The tool is not expensive, probably £5 out of Ebay.

I just found this out last night. I tried with my hand and realised someone had already faded away the small lines that would give your hand grip. So I ended up buying it on amazon. Thanks for your videos they are really useful. Could you recommend any tool kits that cover a wide variety purposes when servicing cars? Or have you built up your tools over many years?

Manny Ribera thanks glad to know the videos help, yes in the end I build up a number of tools over time, this is because I didn’t know I would be working with different cars so I was buying single tools at beginning, but then I started getting sets that cover a number of cars for some things like oil filters. In the end you keep buying tools anyway hehehe.

Sounds about right 😂 i’m hoping to build up my tools enough to perform servicing and other small maintenance myself. I really don’t trust garages with doing it. I think you leave you car there for 4 hours. And they say they have done a full service. But really they just topped up the windscreen fluid and that is it 😂 bastards!
