@@RTProductions100 Thank you so much. I was set on 35mm but then I checked one out at a camera store and yeah it seems like my iPhone is more like a 28mm. Thing is I’m wanting to upgrade from my iPhone e to go into a Sony a7iv I just don’t know what lens. I tried a 28mm F2 but the focus distance was not as good as that 35mm 1.8. I couldn’t get objects as close. Which for what I do sucks. I think the iPhone is at about a 20cm. Also from what I tested OMG it’s going to be a nightmare going from iPhone pro max screen to a janky 3 inch Sony screen. Any tips on how to cope with this? I need to see my shot in real time and know what’s in focus and how it’s lined up. Might need to get a monitor if I do this. Got any ideas on a good lens by chance?
@@switchunboxing Possibly a zoom lens, 24-70, you definitely don't need anything as wide as f2 for this sort of work. Use an external monitor or tv, its very simple to set up. Or if you have the budget, a field recorder/monitor like an Atomos
@@RTProductions100 Thank you. Will zoom lens let you get in closer to object without losing clarity? So I could set a 24-70 as a 35mm for example and it would appear to have better minimum focus distance compared to a 35mm prime?
Super helpful review! Huge thanks
nice review
Thank you 😁

Do you think it’s too tight for what I do?
After watching 10 secs of your latest video, I'd say 35mm maybe a little tight.

@Switch Unboxing absolutely, you could zoom in with no loss of quality. Check the minimum focal distance on the lens you buy, it will be in the specs.
