Knowing that they will not unscrew inside the sewer regardless of which way they are turned gives total confidence. All fittings are made of brass so they do not rust.
Excellent review of a quality product. I can assure American viewers that professional plumbers and drain engineers in the UK use these rods as they are the best. I have had several cheaper drain rods snap or unlock in drains, leaving me with a serious problem. That will not happen with these roda; they are very sturdy and have a guaranteed locking mechanism.
4 inch long 90 I don't think so. It would have to be really big 90 to even attempt it. These rods are really stiff. Rods half this thickness would probably work.
