How to store a CAT 304 Excavator in A 20' High Cube Storage Container

- We recently sold three 20' high cube storage container to a guy who was storing his excavation equipment in them. He bought high cube containers as they are a foot taller than normal containers. This allows him to store his mini excavator. He said that the money he spent on the containers will more than pay for itself as the machines will not be left out in the weather when on a job site. Also, mice were starting to make nests in the engine compartments of the machines and now they won't be able to as shipping containers are mouse proof.

Quick Question how much Clarence do you have between the top of your cab and the door opening on your 304 ? I have a 305 according to spec sheet 305 is 8ft 4in. Tall . Spec sheet shows 304 is 8ft 2in tall wondering how tight of a fit your 304 is ? will help me determine if my 305 will fit .thanks
That's not my machine. I delivered the containers and shot the video of the guy with his machines so I can't measure it. I'd say you're good as the door opening of a high cube container is 8' 5" tall. It'll be close though for sure. Still, I would double check the door opening with the container you're going to purchase as well as your machine before the container shows up just to make sure. Either way, you need a high cube.
Where could I find a ladder like the one on the 2nd container? Thanks.
+Rick K I didn't sell him the grey standard height box on the right with the ladder. I sold him the tan high cubes to the left. I noticed the ladder on the that grey box when I was there the other day delivering the containers and I though that was pretty cool to have installed on a box. I think it's the type of ladder they install on the side of apartment buildings in case of fire that you would use as an escape. I'm not sure where to buy those though. Good luck!
