Michael Lohre ur darn tootin I would buy him, at least a good used tire. Just think of all the money he saved by borrowing a trailer and not paying for the delivery.
Ya see what ya do is put some some wood blocks at the corners, let the load down, then have him just back out, then pick up just slightly to pull the blocks out, it makes for really easy loading and getting the lift out..I've done hundreds of them.
How much dose a standard less than 20foot trailer weight in pounds or kilograms , 2460libras lb to the tonne right? Iso on wiki said up to 64000 pounds or maybe 2200tons. The dolly idea looks more practice than 18wheeler large scale air brake ,no ?
I bought a 20’ about 2 years ago. It was $2600. + tax delivered. Mine was slightly used - a new one 20’ was like $4600. He also offered to paint it any color for $200.00 - also a heads up check your local zoning laws. After I got it found out later - not allowed in my town. Put a harbor freight tarp over it & that’s it looks like a travel trailer under a tarp. Well not really it looks like a shipping container under a tarp, but I tried & no news is good news.
Could someone provide a contact reference for whoever this guy is buyin his shipping containers from? Please help us we want them all! Does this work with 40ft containers also?
I charge $3,000 in most places for the 20' one trip containers I sell. Sometimes I can do them for even less than that depending upon where the location is. I sell my one trip 40-foot container for $4500 in most places.
I don't know where you live....! But you can look up a Company Called: NATIONAL CONTAINER TRANSPORTS. In Lancaster PA: They have Great contains, shipped right to your location. Tell them Dave told you for your Discount.
That was shaky. Lucky you had no mishaps. Good job getting it off trailer. A tilting trailer would have made it easier. I have a duallie pickup, but think I'd pay for delivery.
Crossing chains is bullshit. If one breaks, the load can move sideways and and actually slide clear off the trailer. You want as short as possible and as straight as possible inline or across to an anchor point.
Your Chains should have went to the Top of Container then down to the Opposite Sides the way you had the Chains the container could have tip off the Side there was no Pull Down at all just side to side
Obviously using a cousins trailer it wasnt properly insured for any loses, I'd invest in a $50 heavy duty strap from any truck stop just to be on the safe side.
I've heard it's ok to cross them you just have to make sure they are not touching each other. I generally put my chains on top and cross them to the bottom. Not touching of course
It's your job to check that's funny nice try... As for the tire did Pay to rent the trailer. Was it a friends ... Instead of buying a tire go buy your own trailer .. Think about home you saved ...
What a poor excuse for a trailer. The two axles did not appear to have an equalizer between them, this would have distributed the weight equally, between the axles. It's clear from the video, the rear axle was carrying more load. I don't see traditional axles under the trailer. Might be torsion axles, if so, lowering the front of the trailer by adjusting the 5th wheel coupler, would have been advisable. Worn out tire, and low tires? Not cool, unprofessional, no wonder FMCSA rammed DOT onto states in 1989
@@stuntcardriver Actually per FMCSA... Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations It SAYS Chain to lower Corners.... It pulled off a piece of rubber that was attached with some screws. Overall the deck on the trailer was pretty rough to start and was missing a piece in the tail.

Note to self....... don’t let this guy borrow you trailer 😂
Exactly no appreciation for someone saving you cash from a delivery charge!! Then bitch about the loaner !! 😂
I love the video
Don't blame the owner for low tires. You blame the operator. You should have checked them your damn self before ever taking off.
he complained about the tires too. beggars can't be choosers. i would have at least bought him a good used tire to replace the poor one.

Blame the owner for not inspecting the trailer before you took it? That's your job before you take it or borrow it.
Just glad it's not my trailer you're borrowing.......Gheeeeshhh!!
No shit haha

I would like to get a trailer bed like that what's the size?
8' x 20' with a 3' beaver-tail.

Looks like a lot of fun. Love that diesel smoke as the tires are spinning and 2x4s are snapping
I'm seriously considering using one of these for my off-grid property. They are super strong.
You can use 2 x 20 ton battle lift to lift for leveling . I use my 20 tons battle lift lot .

thank god he had them 2x4s prayers for the trailer lol

I'm looking for info on how much it cost's to pick up and transport different size shipping containers...how much did this cost and how far?
I had it hauled 66 miles and I paid the guy $100. The guy was my cousin though
so what did the container end up costing?
$3200
not bad for a one trip then how much was delivery?
"nothing" I had my cousin move it. I paid him for his fuel.
cant beat that price!

I'm surprised the container didn't tip over on the way home.
Where did you get your container from.
Shipping Containers Unlimited in Omro Wisconsin.
Should have at least got him a tire, didnt have to let you borrow it.
That is one nice clean container! You should get an easy 20 years out of it.

Pharaoh is not pleased with your moving skills.
Next time put steel pipes under the container before you try and pull it off

Or just loop the chains through the rail, at least. That would prevent tipping.
Guy in the yellow shirt seems a little slow..... loves hard work , could watch it all day.....
You need to remove the inside flooring. The treat it with nasty chemicals so bugs have no chance of survival. Not healthy to leave them in.
That's an expensive garage considering a 20'-40' fabric building is about $4,000. I guess it's more secure but that's about it.
Caleb M Is that without labor?
@@TheTruth2power2 yes that's without labor or prep, that's just the garage itself
Can't believe anyone with a load would go down the road with that tire....just stupid.
Would have bought him or her tire..tyre..tires, just for the loaning and letting me fuck up his trailer.😂🔫
My trailer is a 20 foot pintle hook I think she’ll do it thanks for the vid bud
it's all good!
Never cross your chains

The tongue weight has to be to high, probably 5000lbs!
Doubtful, since the container weighs 4885 and there looks to be about 5 ft behind the axle.
What a dumb ads. Never take him logging or fishing an accident waiting to happen. Wyd a 2 x 4
looks like it trashed the bevertail joint on trailer

1 ship means 1 trip or 1 use. It was manufactured in Asia then used one time for shipping to US.
