I like your vids but that bike won't be anywhere even close to 70hp. I'll bet the deed to my house vs that bike that it doesn't even make 60hp at the rear wheel.
@@mxrevival I've seen 2 of them on the dyno. Someone gave you bogus charts. I'm guessing the place that gave you the charts starts with a B & ends with a C. 😁
53-54hp (at the rear wheel with a road tire on) is all they make. If it's an efi bike, it's gonna have a massive dip just before the power hits. ...& no need for the condescending comment. It's not a good look . Especially when you find out you're wrong.
Man Charles...I really need this in my life...500cc of pure 2 stroke, old man adrenalin ...I promise you I would ride the hell out of it and get plenty of UA-cam videos...gonna sign up for this one 4 sure . Keep up the Excellent builds and videos...😁👍
Been waiting for a KTM husky gas, gas build. Love the channel for the color of the brakes with everything. I’ve heard so far a copper color would look really cool.
Brakes? Who needs brakes?? With 500cc under the seat whoever rides this thing is gonna have a heart attack before they can even think of needing brakes. This things gonna be a flat out donor cycle haha my votes for a gunmetal color. Its always nice and subtle but screams luxury imo.
Bronze with some darker tones would look good also if I win the bike I’ll need a set of crutches with a custom finish because I’m sure I would break myself off
That's so cool that you and Dean like work together with the build. Hashing out color combos and such. So laid back, bringing a family feel to your channel. Like I've said before, loyal sub for life man! The question on the colors for the brake system...i don't know much about the modern bikes to even know how they are put together really. I'm slowly learning. Im still stuck in the 80's. Whatever it ends up being its going to be rad no doubt. I'm just here to enjoy a build and learn more modern ways to build my vintage 2-strokes. Keep em coming Charles! Dean's shop is lookin sweet by the way.
Absolutely nothing wrong with being stuck in the 80s, LOL!!! What do you ride? I am getting ready to button up my 88YZ250. MX Rewind is coming up in a few weeks!!!
Always a pleasure to have you, Albert! Jacob as well 🔥 Dean is awesome, can’t do this the same without him for the rest of the Build Crew. Happy to show you what’s coming.
@@mxrevival the Aprilia RX 125 with Rotax engine, in 1990, had 2 more HP than the Honda CR 125 of the same year, benchmarked, certified by the specialized newspapers at the era. Rotax engines were powerful and fast, despite they were not competition engines, so they were bigger, stronger, with bigger bearings and more oil in the gearbox, with the countershaft and integrated oil mixer because they must resist longer than a competition engine due the 16 yo users and the street legal use (and abuse). Also the bike, the RX, was heavier, 105 Kilos vs 90 kilos. It had the passenger pegs, because it was a dual use bike, going to school during the week, off road use with friends on the week end. As I said the bike was street legal, it was a beautiful bike, the suspensions were decent for the dual use but were cheaper in front of the competition bikes. The price of the bike was hot at the time, almost 7.000.000 ITL (more than 6 months earning) but the Honda price was 1.700.000 ITL more, due the better suspensions. Despite the hi-price the Aprilia RX was the absolute second bike in the sales in Italy in those year (I mean of all motorcycles, brands, models, uses, displacements, types of engines) and severely overtook the Honda CR 125, concerning the sales numbers. The absolute first was the Cagiva Mito 125, 2 stroke sporting road bike, the faster production 125 bike ever with 205 kph (127.38 Mph) reache on Monza track. Fabulous years in the 90ies for the 2 Strokes in Italy, then arrived the parassitistic EU that destroyed the 125 bikes market with a european regulation made just to destroy the Italian motorcycle industry. Currently the RX is a most wanted bike and the price for it is skyrocketed being the same value as new (in €) but considering the inflation from 1990 the price is doubled, for a fully restored piece. I own 3 of them, Mk2 1991, Mk3 1992 and Mk4 1993 and currently rebuild those engines and bikes. I also own a Cagiva Mito 125 from 1993 and its price is "lava" but this is another story. The RX was used by Aprilia in the Enduro World Championship in 1990 and after a first year to learn, the RX was was the bike to beat in 1991, 1992, 1993. The RX ridden by Stefano Passeri lost two championships in the last race due to a rider injury in 1991 (broken rib during training), in 1992 (broken foot during training) and in 1993 due to a heart problem in the pilot. From 1994, Aprilia dedicated itself solely to speed racing on the track. You can see in these rare images Stefano Passeri's RX in the 1992 world championship, I invite you to listen to the sound of the engine: ua-cam.com/video/sMVEnCUbc1M/v-deo.html
well if your doing pixie blood for the frame then brake color has to be unicorn piss. lol bike gonna be super sick with what you have planned so far. keep it up bud.
Midnight bronze FOR SURE red gold and bronze look great together and I like the midnight twist... I didn't know that existed sounds sick... love the shop upgrades y'all needed the room. So awesome
Yes, for the YZ500, which uses essentially the same engine. Stock CDI, stock carburetor & cone pipe 😁 I forget which video I posted it in. Not only that but it is well metered brutality!
I love the fact that the winner gets these videos. You constantly refer to the bike as you/your. Glad I'm entered in this. Cant wait to see some more riding videos mixed in. Thanks for the free content, your awesome!
Morning my man , awesome to see your new videos progression on this build I think it’s going to be epic. I see you judges still have your hair 😂😂 and your sanity. This next round of judging is gonna wicked .
Hey bud hope all is well. I’ve been super busy at home working on getting better rippin now that my collar bone is healed and as always wrenching on the bikes. I think the break system color should be titanium silver and if you did that you could match it with a set of 70s style gold flake gold wheels.
I can't wait to see this build! I would love for the brakes to be brembo silver. That color pops so well and would look awesome by the gold forks and the concrete swing arm.
It’s gotta be a gunmetal color. As much as the burnt bronze has been done it’s played out. It’s everywhere and you need to switch it up away from what’s been done way too many times at this point. Frames red, plastics are red, engine cases are concrete and wrap the rest up with a darker gunmetal gray.

60 HP.
Not doubting, looking to pull the trigger on a BRC500 70+ HP would seal it.

P.S. around how much does one of these weigh when finished?
I know it, bro! Your UA-cam game is strong 💪
I’m thinking around 10 more pounds than stock. The wise he was around that…. Cool thing is these two strokes can afford a little extra weight.

What happend to that RM 250 AF build? I would like to see that get finish
Someday! Personal projects always seem to get pushed to the side
Darker shade of gold, with subtle darker shade of bronze flakes for the brakes
👀👀👀📈📈📈📈 I like it
Can we please do gold with red Brembro logo it would look perfect!!!
I think both of us will be getting our wish
Black calipers with red accents using the same red as the frame color.
That would look so sick
