Yall for the cheap version of the repaint tray, i just cover my tray in Saran Wrap before i pour the paint in. Then you can put it in a plastic bag or cover it with more Saran Wrap to prevent it from drying. Peel it right off when ur done
@@alesbianhotmess how often are u gunna paint tho? If u paint alot then sure, but if you only need to paint ur walls once and a while then which is more wasteful: a entire silicone paint tray that you use twice, or a bit of plastic?
Word. I did that too, but hated the amount of plastic waste I was creating. The Repaint Tray is reusable and recyclable even after a lifetime of use! Over 240 million plastic liners and trays go into landfills from home painting projects, so we wanted to create a more eco-friendly alternative.
The paint guard/edger only works sometimes. I usually regret using it. If you ever get paint under it, you can smear it around without knowing it. And it doesnt work great if your walls arent perfectly flat. You don’t need to tape everything though. Just get a good brush and cut in the edges.
as someone who owns a painting business this is my advice, don't use an edger they suck and leave an ugly edge, just tape it, you'll spend more time trying to learn how to cut in and your lines will be ugly plus you'll make more mistakes. just cover your paint tray with painters plastic and it won't dry out same thing with your brushes. I've had brushes stay wet for weeks wrapped up, spraying is the better option for cabinets, doors and furniture however it is not something I would recommend doing yourself. unless you're consistently getting scratches on your walls touch up pins are more of a waste of time than save of time, the paint doesn't last inside of them, you'll have to replace them a refill them at least once a year which ideally is more often than you'll be doing touch ups. if you drop paint on hardwood wipe it up immediately with a wet sponge, if you let it dry that dried paint will stay inside of the grain, however tiny drips on top of a carpet you can leave dry and cut off but realistically that shouldn't be happening in the first place, also anything on tile you can let dry as long as it's not the grout. if you have a fancy pour paint can that's nice but most paint cans don't come like that, just use a brush to wipe off the dripping paint. and for the love of God do not use an extender pole, if you're doing it for a living do stilts, otherwise a ladder will get you anywhere you need to be, don't try and cut in with a 10ft pole. and the only time you really need to ball out for green frog tape as if you're using it to mask a hard edge, if you don't need a really sharp line, which on trim you don't, the corner between the trim and the wall will make a hard edge on its own, then blue Scotch brand painters tape will work perfectly. here's my actual tips, wet your brushes and rollers before you use them they will load paint smoother and easier, use painters tape to get all the fuzzies off your rollers before you use them, and always roll with the hard edge on the inside.

Definitely not something I would've done but its very inspiring that you're confident enough to express and incorporate your type of artistry in your home without confining it to a canvas
To paint a straight edge near the ceiling with that extension pole can only work if the ceiling and walls are the same color! No way am I believing you can cut cleanly that far away with no ladder😳😳😳
Just pay professionals like me who has been in this field since 2015. I know times are hard but we need the work and we will give you the best possible outcome than just some diy project could ever look because we know what it takes to insure 2 3 6 days weeks months years what colors you pick stay the colors you pick cause certain whites will yellow faster than others in direct sunlight, a can of spray paint isn’t going to give you the best look as a can of paint poured into a spray gun and done by a professional because it takes 2 coats with sanding in between and most home owners don’t do that. Also Pledge and other “all surfaces cleaners” leave a wax residue on surfaces that needs to be cleaned off with grease remover in order to be able to have the paint stick properly but most people don’t know that.
100% if you can afford it, I can vouch for everything here, except the touch-up pens or the tray with the lid, but I believe they are surely great considering the other tips!
If you have some old blinds or have had to take out some slats to shorten the blind…you can use those slats (custom cut if you need to) to help you edge. Stuffing one into the crevice between baseboard and floor (especially in a carpeted room helps prevent any leakage of paint onto floor (even though you taped and put down a plastic drop cloth) while painting the baseboards.
Brother the amount of walls a tape I've gone through, obviously I ended up getting really good at getting corners with a brush because f tape... But these tips are incredible. Thank you!!! 😩

Thank you so much this was really helpful. Could you make a video on what you recommend for flipping furniture?
Great tips 😎🙏🏽
Honnest and good tips. 👍🏻
this is so helpful!
Definitely not something I would've done but its very inspiring that you're confident enough to express and incorporate your type of artistry in your home without confining it to a canvas

frog tape is honestly a god send

Not lazy, smart. Work smarter, not harder.
Thank you
To paint a straight edge near the ceiling with that extension pole can only work if the ceiling and walls are the same color!
3M's classic blue painters tape works the most consistently. Other tapes have either not stuck to what I needed them to or ripped off layers of paint.
100% if you can afford it, I can vouch for everything here, except the touch-up pens or the tray with the lid, but I believe they are surely great considering the other tips!
Saving!! Thanks.
I'm bookmarking this one
If you have some old blinds or have had to take out some slats to shorten the blind…you can use those slats (custom cut if you need to) to help you edge. Stuffing one into the crevice between baseboard and floor (especially in a carpeted room helps prevent any leakage of paint onto floor (even though you taped and put down a plastic drop cloth) while painting the baseboards.
I just painted our downstairs hall I wish I had one of those trays god damn!!! It's the whole reason I did the walls with a brush to save paint 😭
Taking notes from a professional painter!
Yellow Windex gets dried paint off as well
BLUE TAPE!!! Or yellow for detail.
Brother the amount of walls a tape I've gone through, obviously I ended up getting really good at getting corners with a brush because f tape... But these tips are incredible. Thank you!!! 😩
People really out here decorating and not just getting by each day
The pour spout lid paint cans are from Behr Paints and empty cans are available for purchase at Home Depot.
As a professional painter, this is all spot on! 👌🏻👌🏻
You are most certainly not a professional painter
