God I’ll never forget being 13 and getting home from school to hop on my Hunter, I used to only use a Hand Cannon/Sniper loadout with Golden Gun to try to act like what I thought a real hunter would be. Sad to say I didn’t have to money to play when the Taken King released, and didn’t have friends to play it with then.
That being said, today my fireteam plays for hours every night, and the feeling of beating my first raid a few weeks ago is something I won’t ever forget.
Music is so damn good, I miss D1 music.
The opening scene gives me chills every time. Glad it is back
Facts
D1 music was great but D2 is IMO better.
@Kaheeros fuck yes it is, there were gems in D1 music but D2 music is on a whole nother fucking level.
Y’all will find ANY excuse to hate on D2. You live a sad, pathetic life lmfao
@@bruh-fw7op going back and playing D1 made me miss D2 lmao D1 just has kings fall and nostalgia imo
It’s so nice hearing the actor of itachi uchihas voice as our guardian
I was thinking more along the lines of Alucard but now I can hear the Itachi
Wait is it?
and we’ll never these days again.. thank you so much for the memories this game brought staying up all night waiting for the weekly reset doing the nightfall as quick as possible all that i’m surly gonna miss it
As a day 1 this is so nostalgic starting with the heart of darkness and currently trying to free savathun so many memories
Great. Now I have to spend the next 4 hours watching this instead of sleeping lol.
I like how you left Dinklage's voice for the first ghost scene when he woke us up 👌
"It is alive, and still has its ball" that line made me laugh way more than it should have
Thank you Lucky. I’m entering my final years of High School and just hearing the D1 music hit me hard in the feels. I spent a large percentage of my childhood with this game.
To this day the Osiris in VoG cutscene is still my favorite cutscene next to Orxy "I will take them all" scene
Destiny 1 will always be the best nostalgic adventure I'd ever played 😭
Destiny 1 holds such a happy place in my mind those were the good ol days, anyone who reads this god bless your soul
Oh man, I just now realized that as Uldren is saying "this is going to hurt...a lot.", the voice actor for Savathun says "a lot" over him!
4:19 *Dead human with skull blown open*
Dinklebot: "Ouch"
"You won't have too. Uldren Sov is mine"
Best way to break a 5 year long oath of silence. Made me lose my shit when I heard the hidden fury in my warlock's voice. RIP Cayde-6, you were the best of us and didn't even know it.
When my hunter said that the doom music kicked in and I wanted to kick uldrens ass just for cayde the legend
He knows Guardian, he knows...
@@zbk3883 i played the whole forsaken campaign with doom music
@@elmatapacos7441 lol
1:35:05 the Colonel is the MVP of Destiny 💪
You mean savathûn
That original Destiny intro still gives me goosebumps. I really want to see us go to Mars one day.
We did go to mars... It got sunsetted though
Being a player since launch really makes you go through the emotions watching this lol. Im mad that i cant even go back to play red war or run countless leviathans anymore. Its content people dont get to experience anymore and its just sad really.
I got goosebumps the first time Saladin said “Approach”. Destiny 1 rly made me feel special 😢
The og bungie intro!! 😍😍😍 took me back to my childhood playing Halo 2 on the first Xbox!
As a new-ish player I’m actually learning a lot about the lore from this. This is really cool.
It was a big day when your character was able to talk again.
LUCKYY10P uploaded this video an I’m like I’ve already seen every cutscene but fuck it I’ll watch the whole 3 hours just cuz I can lol
*4 hours
Man I remember when the stranger was awesome. The way to know if a character is important or not is if they are in cutscenes or cinematics.
I remember seeing these D1 cutscenes for the first time and being in love with the story. I wish I could play it again and learn the story while playing through the missions.
Just realized that the garden cutscene after shadowkeep campaign the reflection of you acts and speaks like the witness
I wish bungie would just partner with a movie studio and make a real destiny movie, it would make BANK and I feel like it would sell pretty well
I remember beating the destiny 2 campaign and seeing the pyramids for the first time and I nearly shit my pants
Why doesn’t ghost say “GUARDIAN DOWN” before the guardian is bought to life
You 🤘🖖🏽👻🕳😳
Bungie needs to make a short animated show. With different lore each episode. Like Love, Death and Robots but each episode is in the same universe
Ur asking to much of bare bone bungie
Back in the old d1 days
*Our* Golden Age
the most fun time
I would just like to say... I feel asleep and UA-cam autoplayed this 4 hour video..... thanks UA-cam...
watching this reminds me how freaking amazing this game is.
this was great... the one thing i would have changed would have been adding zavala's REAL answer to Caital.
"Excuse me..."
Looking Back, do not th9ink I died on a battlefield.....from what I remember and what the vid shows....I died in a hatchback.
I find it so interesting that all the major players of the original campaign; Elsie, Uldren (now Crow), and Mara are now so active in the story again, and how little characters like Zavala, Ikora, Cayde were involved back then.
Just saying this made me realize how much i miss the oryx raid.
I remember playing destiny for the first time on Christmas morning 2014. Thank you guardians for giving me good memories.
I need to stop doing this at 1am
Part of me wants to go back in time and recapture the feeling I had when I first played this game. To feel that wonder you know?
I was 14 when I went into the world of destiny, almost 10 years ago now, still the greatest game I’ve play, although it’s story defines grandeur, it’s the attention to details that had become the decisive factor in me recognizing it as my favorite game of all time, time and time again 👌
I like the idea of Dominus Gaul frantically menuing to change his Subclasses and getting more sweaty because he keeps loses against the tiny Guardian
I love seeing all the old(ish) armor in the cutscenes. Although, will our Guardian continue to speak?
D1 intro is so majestic and nostalgic to me. Ugh. Man o man. Beautiful
I didn't play D1, hell I only just played D2 on the F2P New Light. So it's a great thing to know what happened in the past. Destiny story are so amazing
Thank you for this.
Mara Sov is so hot I wished she come back in D2 (not as a tentacles)
The tentacles part 😆
She’s back btw… you can go visit her just look up how to get to her
@@PALAD1N_005 Not anymore you can’t. But yes she was in the game at some point in forsaken and had a lot of lines too.
She's back this season, in the awoken wing of the H.E.L.M.
you certainly missed out not playing 1
I still go back and watch the live action trailers from d1, theyre so bloody good!!
Season of the Drifter. Lord was that a hell of a time. Gambit prime, new armor, weapons, outbreak coming back, more lore, and having to choose between the vanguard or drifter. And to top it off, different results and story for which side. Personally, one of my favorite seasons by far.
I remember season of the drifter as the time the forums ran wild with nothing but complaints. I liked it, not a lot of other people seem to do s
Loves how the guardian in D1 is wearing Bones of Eao
1:17:26 This backs up my theory, Savathun will not ‘steal’ the light.
1:28:33 Yep pretty sure Savy is or can (is capable) check these off….
2:21:20 I wonder if he’s walking so far to his left, bc in his mind he’s seeing Mara (Riven) walking next to him 🤔
This aged like milk
i like what you did with the dinklebot becoming north bot
2:40:00 one of the best Cutscenes.
''You Ghost will guide you. I only hope he chose wisely.'' - Speaker
[insert list of all the things the player guardian has done in lore]
Ghost: So when do I get my part of the credit?
finally been wanting a updated video with every cutscene
"My brothers and sisters, I will see you again. Someday"
Gave me a tear to my eye
Bungie can make a destiny tv series based and each episode can be 1 mission. This show would have as many seasons as campaign’s in the destiny franchise.
Genius
I have spent DAYS just running around in the first Dreadnaught area, smashing hive and cabal! It was so much fun! Exploring this massive ship. I still hope to find it deactivated floating in space, get my cool gear back like the hive helmet and fusion rifle!
Time to get my friends back into the game
Notice the Ace of Spades had 11 shots in it when Uldren took the Shard; the two shots lacking were the one Cayde fired, and the one that killed Cayde.
I've been playing since Taken King, who new I would still be playing this game today
Me too. Ikr
Who knew
