Have any of you listened to the episode on the 12 Apostles on the podcast, "The Ancient Tradition"? It's pretty interesting in terms of cosmic order.

Thanks for the interesting reply about the cock crowing. I come across this on utube acts 10 explained link by lapid judaism. Lapids are interesting but i see from some of their material issues about the law and grace and between Jew and Gentile in Christ.

The cock crower may have been Temple Caller to prayer and liturgy. Roosters were considered unclean to be in Jerusalem during Festivals and particularly during Passover. See utube acts 10 or Sid Roth on this.

Hi Brian Guglielmin, Catholic tradition holds that the excavated site that we now call Church of Saint Peter in Gallicantu was the place where Jesus was held and Peter denied him. This is just outside the Old City of Jerusalem. You are correct about the laws pertaining to roosters but it said that they were not to be within boundaries of Jerusalem. Since the palace was outside of the walls, it is likely that a rooster could have been in the area. There are a couple of other scenarios that might also explain this story. The first being that it could have been a wild rooster, this is still a problem in a lot of areas of the world, such as Hawaii. The other being that scripture only says "Cock". Tradition holds that was a rooster, though that term could apply to almost any other male bird.

James the Less, Simon the Zealot, and Jude-Thaddeus are likely to be the sons of Mary of Clopas, sister-in-law to Mary and Joseph, mother of the so-called "brothers" of Jesus.
