thank you omni and maestro fisk for such an interesting performance! it's sad for me to see all the negative comments. this is, after all, a live performance. as i watch eliot played. i only see his interpretation and phrasing. my mind heard perfection. i have played the guitar since i was in high school, until my unfortunate stroke in 1983 forced me to abandon my favorite pastime. however it cannot stop me from playing in my mind. my hands cannot express what i feel. m fisk played mostly his own transcriptions, so he has the right to play in a way he feels. he is very courageous not to succumb to popularity. those who disagree can try in a way you think feel appropriate. i especially appreciate the bach, torroba, de falla, paganini and pounce. sevovia has recorded the same suite by torroba. m fisk intense facial expression reminds me of violin maestro itzhak perlman. i don't think they are conscious of their display. glenn gould sang out loud when he played the piano. you can hear it in his recordings. i wonder why the sound engineers did not wipe it clean? thanks for reading my loong comment. i shall retreat and shut my trap.

I remember getting a guitar magazine about 30 years ago with one of those plastic records perforated like a removable page. Fisk was the featured artist, my beginner mind couldn’t comprehend the brilliance within the playing, 30 years later and I’m still in awe…

Big Respect, Maestro Eliot Fisk. Bravissimo!

What an absolute gem of a concert!
I had the honour and pleasure of meeting Eliot in Boston during the 2013 Boston Guitar Festival. He is a gentle, humble and cheerful man, and an incredible musician. And, he hasn't aged a day. Remarkable.

For me, playing classical guitar (or any instrument for that matter) with such intensity needs to be done every now and then. It can be relieving, fun, but tiring. Mr. Fisk you have fingers of steal my friend. Sometimes performers play so gently that I hardly can hear what they're playing. What's nice is that those sitting in the back row will be able to clearly hear you. Thank you Omni Foundation and Eliot for the great concert!

The man is ABSOLUTELY COMMITTED to playing EXACTLY the way he wants and expressing *every *last *drop of musical beauty from his own very, very splendid and totally UNIQUE style. I can only hope someday to ever approach the grandeur and majesty of his complete surrender to the raging passions of the musical soul. Bless you Maestro Fisk!!!

I first saw Eliot at Stetson University in Deland Florida. He a gave a great performance, it was nice to be able to go out ; and not worry about face masks, and airborne diseases. It was 2005 when things were much better, as I taught classical guitar and gave dozens of classical guitar performances. And it was a treat to just watch for a change. I also composed several works for the classsical guitar, but, I use them to further my playing these days. Because the ''etudes and preludes'' I write, are great practice pieces. The guitar gallery at the university was top notch, I played for hours in there. Omni Foundation is also top notch in my eyes!

No one performs on guitar with the excitement and musicality of Eliot.
Por Ti Mi Corazon literally brought a tear to my eye and a smile to my face. Beautiful tone, beautiful expression, beautiful music.
What a marvelous program filled with so much wonderful music.
For all those technically precise players out there, listen and watch this master. He was the 1st to perform all the Bach Partitas & Sonatas in their entirety; no one even thought it possible until Eliot. The 1st to perform all the Caprices of Paganini. He has brought many modern composers into the standard repertoire and too many other firsts to list.
He is the master to emulate.
Thanks, Eliot, for all you have given to me. It was a pleasure to spend last evening and this morning watching and listening to this full performance repeatedly. Until, I see you...

I adore Maestro Fisk’s living, fresh, vibrant Bach transcription and performance! Gorgeous tone, powerful punctuated attack, and incredibly imaginative, expressive, evocative ornamentation that is an art unto itself. Haters, you don’t understand, music isn’t supposed to be simply a “perfect” or “correct” recitation…it’s a living, breathing, coursing thing, that must be free, it must speak, it must manifest a mystical grandeur from a place deep inside. Mr. Fisk dives deep into the musical well, it’s all we can do to witness and bathe in the majesty he generously draws forth for all humankind.

    This man should only teach.
    He is multilingual, educated at
a scary level and a fantastic
historian. In 1983 I met Mario
Maccaferri and he spoke to me
in awe of Fisk's Paganini but
    said his tension and facial
    expressions needed checking.
The only cd I could not stand
    was the one with Frescobaldi
    played with this brutal style.
    Speed and expression only go
    together in rare cases, usually
you get one or the other, when
    they meet you are witnessing
    genius. Some of the beautiful
    passages heard here show his
artistic side. His wonderful wife and daughter should help
him relax and bare his soul.

I found his playing a bit frantic at times, but his interpretations and his tone are absolutely stellar. Talk about getting different colours out of your instrument- I could have sworn he was playing a harpsichord at one point!

Fisks interpretation of the opening prelude is quite triumphant.

Man is a force in the raw nature, he plays with the race of what he gives, and who is criticizing is because he did not understand the proposal of this concert
