Great idea, but be carefull while using it with USB-C, as the host might request for higher voltages through USB-C PD3.0 changer, which can damage the PPK
Great project and video 👍 Can you let me know where you purchased the USB-C connectors from? I have checked the Schematic & PCB, I cannot see a part number. Thanks
With PPK2, when using as an ammeter mode, am I correct to assume it would act as a multimeter/current meter? Where I could measure the inline current of a wire at any point of the circuit as long as the wires will be connected in series in Vin / Vout of the PPK2? I plan to measure and test a few signal currents coming in / out of an IC.
@@SalvatoreRaccardi But will it measure inline currents just like a traditional ammeter would as floating? I feel like I still need to connect the ground pin of the PPK2? Have you tried to measure wire currents without ground reference (floating)? Something like this: Opamp output pin -- PPK2 Vin (ammeter mode) -- ESP32 ADC pin, to measure the incoming current to esp32. Using a traditional multimeter, we would put it in series inbetween the opamp and esp32, but I wonder how to do that using PPK2, if it is indeed work as an ammeter (floating measurements).
They should include this in the kit!!
We saw it on Instagram 2 days ago😍
You are really creative brother so I will share your videos with all my friends who are interested..
Thank you🔥I'm working on many projects!

Yes I only use power supplies that provide maximum 5V

Thanks, I bought the usbc connector on LCSC: C720629
What Schottky diode did you use, guess it doesn't matter too much? I can't find a BOM in the github repo.
MBR120 1A 20V
Nice project. I just ordered the PPK2 and then came across your video.
Where did you get the solder paste syringe actuator from?
The syringe it's a jbc product - DPM Manual Solder Paste Dispenser👍
Nice work 👌

Yep, the PPK2 allows you to both power a circuit(max 5V 1A) and you can also use it to only measure current(max 1A).

@@losaminos59 I always connected the ground, never made floating measurements.
can share tools in video ?

Hey... why do you use 5.1kohm for the usbc? usbc out is supposed to have 56kohm resistors according to spec
and pulled up not down
The 5.1k resistors(pulldown) are necessary to allow more current flow. If you do not use them, you can only get 0.5A.
@@CrispBit Right, I also use this pcb for other applications that need the two extra resistors.
