Courage - Hiking Short Film

- This is my first short film! I made this earlier this year as a zero budget project in Vancouver with the help of very talented friends. I'm excited to share this with all of you!
The film portrays a small vignette of what it's like as a first time woman backpacker. Stepping out of one's comfort zone can be a challenge, but when we choose courage over comfort we're rewarded with spectacular experiences!

Aw thank you! It’s definitely based on a true story haha. But the more you do it the more confident you get :) hopefully you get to try a solo trip someday!
I hear you. That first trip and the first night are always memorable, but then you can learn to love it. 🌲🏕. This past year I found a wonderful woman who has a YT channel all about self defense while hiking/backpacking. I found it helpful. Check out Nicole Snell. I also found it in a YT search under ‘Nicole Snell self defense’. Sometimes just knowing you are never defenseless is a confidence booster. 👍
Totally! I trained Brazilian jiu jitsu in the past and do boxing these days. I think knowing those definitely help with confidence. :) (not that I’m going to box with a bear or anything 😅)

Only anxiety I got was from the InReach hanging off her pack via a cheap carabiner. At least she was smart enough to not bother using it in the trees, because it will not work to text her friend. Speaking from experience... 🙄 Great effort on the vid!
