Aircel, Silverwolf, and even Blackthorne were big parts of my childhood comics fan experience. as far as Samurai, i started with issue 15 vol 1 with Dale Keown art. i do enjoy Patrick McEown now, and even back then i thought his back up story in Dragonring vol 2 issue 4 was amazing, but as far as Samurai went i was only interested in the Dale Keown stuff. i think Blair's writing suffered when he was writing too many titles as well as drawing. i try not to look at his later stuff too much. there were certain panels scattered throughout his works that made me feel uneasy. i feel like Blair's best work was on Gun Fury vol 1. i think it was the most successful at what it was going for, a satire of comics and the industry at the time with amazing art by Dave Cooper.

I'll have to look for some gun fury. Blair is certainly controversial, for myself as well. But you can't deny his place in indy comics history
