Real Men Real Style Hey Antonio, thank you for this video! I like each and every one of the points you brought up and I know I can improve on a lot of them. One question that does remain is a tiny bit embarrassing though. English is not my mother tongue, and I've learn most of it through UA-cam. Hi Antonio, I would like to add a few: 1. Do not listen to respond, listen to understand. 2. Listen more then you talk (accept for when your opinion is asked for of course) 3. Ask, ask, ask. People, at least from my view, now a days do things without asking. For example giving your opinion when its not asked for. Not to say you always have to be asked first. But it can come over very pushy in some ways. Ask if you can give somebody a tip instead of just throwing it out there. I think its just more polite that way. 4. Keep eye contact, very important to me. 5. Always be honest, also when its not pretty to be honest. It shows character. Honesty is the most important thing to me. Great video, I hope all is good in Ukraine.
6. Sometimes nod and say something in the line of : "oh, I see! So you're actually saying ...." and repeat and perhaps even rephrase. It makes you a better listener.

Hello, Antonio. I am a woman and practice every single thing you've mentioned in this video, most men around me don't. Sadly, people have lost respect for one another in today's society. While out at the market today, in my way outside a store (while holding lots of grocery bags) I held the door open for the woman coming out behind me... not only did she not say thank you, but didn't even have the curtesy to acknowledge the fact that I held the door for her. Nevertheless, I'd do it all over again because I want to believe that all humanity isn't yet lost.
I like how you differentiate between good manners and etiquette. Many people do not see the difference and decide to give up on both immediately. Thank you for this great material!

That person is going to feel safe with you, and feel like they have a stronger connection with you then all the other people in that room because you saved them from a potentially akward situation. Noone likes being in a room where they don't know anyone; it's boring, it's akward, and you feel out of place. If you can rescue someone from that, you'll appear to be strong, but also generous in their eyes. Coming across as strong AND generous is hard to pull off, and this is the perfect situation to show that person you can be both.
You make a great point, regarding cellphones, and punctuality. It is especially critical to stay off you're cellphone, and be on time, when in the dating world. When you're going on a date, show up on time; perhaps even a little bit early, and when you're actually on your date, stay off your cellphone, and give your date your full attention.

Absolutely fantastic video, Antonio. So many people miss out on things like this. As a second year university student, everyone I meet fails to do these simple things. Loved the video, man - keep it up!
It's real good to hear that I'm doing something right. All of these things come naturally to me. Like, it's practically force of habit, my personality. But, hearing it from a professional makes me feel professional. Thanks.
Love this video. Introductions are something I've always struggled with. You should do a video on restaurant/dinner party etiquette. Stuff like bringing a bottle of wine when someone invites you for dinner, complimenting the cooking from the host, putting the cloth in your lap when you sit down at a restaurant. I've noticed this is lost on so many people.
I'm just now watching this, I love it. I'm so glad you especially put emphasis on the cursing. I can't stand watching UA-cam videos with cursing or hearing anyone curse constantly. It's a huge turnoff. Keep up the awesome job, much respect.
I would probably use "A lack of vocabulary" over "A lack of education". I met many bright minds throughout University that swore a lot during our conversations. I also agree so much with your bonus point. I travelled a lot during my youth and the locals were always super nice and kind to me. People going out of their way to help me, while a lot of my friends were met with cold shoulders or shunned away. I always smiled at everyone I interacted with, engaged in conversations despite language barriers and I tried to be genuinely nice. Because of that people were so nice to me. My friends however used to look down upon others. Didn't show them respect and were extremely rude. So their experiences were very different from mine. This even happened in our home country. Being nice to the waiters and other workers makes them treat you a lot better.
Outstanding information. I really appreciate and enjoy your program. Full of very good information. I am a retired Marine, and I appreciate your straight forward form, and your professional approach. It's funny way back when I was a young enlisted Marine, many many years ago. We had very strict dress codes and you had to get liberty cards to go off bass. Camp guard walked around on base and you had to comply with the dress code. You never wore your cover indoor, and that applied to your ball cap or any other hat as well. Sr. enlisted Marines pressed and creased thier jeans and even blocked and pressed thier ball cap. A shirt was never worn untucked, and of course you wore a belt. I was brought up in the Corps that way, and I am very proud and grateful for someone like you. To teach the modern generation how to take pride in themselves. Semper fi, Top

Thank you for this video! I am a middle school teacher. I look forward to sharing these with my students, so they are aware of modern manners they should be practicing. The cellphone is a huge issue! I understand that it is a device we use in case of emergencies, but during lessons, its rude to see cellphones out and students' attentions shut off. Thanks for the helpful tips! :)
I just had a conversation today with someone who said people who curse sound unsophisticated. I don't know if it's my Italian family or being from Brooklyn or working a lot of blue collar jobs in my life but I always felt that cursing was another way to express yourself. I don't like negativity or hate talk but cursing is just words to me. I guess i need to clean up my fucking mouth. lol.
In my experience, unless your curse words are AIMED at a person for no reason, especially at who you're talking with, that's a problem. If you go out of your way to curse and it just sounds unnatural, that's a problem. Most other cursing is usually not, especially with people who have some life experience. Most of these people who say cursing makes you a bad person or something along those lines usually have A LOT of rules like these. "You stand a certain way? You're bad" "You answer my questions? That's talking back" "You look into my eyes? That's disrespectful lower your gaze". Best to ignore these people. And the last one is from my own personal experience lol
Andrew Attard It depends on who you are speaking to. I will swear when talking with work colleagues casually out in the field, but never in the office. I will swear when having a few beers with the boys, but not if we are walking down the street. I will swear while talking to my brothers, but not when speaking to anyone else in my family. I will never swear while speaking to strangers or aquaintances. I cant stand people who swaer no stop no matter where they are
I avoid frequent swearers. They make me feel uncomfortable. I basically have the same feelings about the person as if they were farting or saying something racist. If they were a customer I would talk to them less. If they were a supplier I would keep my interations brief and quietly look for another supplier. I once entered a room at work where a conversation was going on. The swearing was especially bad, but the subject of the conversation was casual, like fishing, sports, or whatever. Not religion or politics. No one was angry. I started tallying the swear words per minute. 21 swear words per minute. I left the room and came back an hour later to do what I needed to do. Sometimes a waiter or restaurant manager will come over to our group of coworkers to schmooze when we are at lunch and pepper the the conversation with word farts (curse words) and it has the opposite of its intended effect and it gets very awkward and we just want them to leave. If a salesman that is prone to swearing offers to take my wife and I out to dinner, I will always decline. I don't want my wife mad at me for putting her through that. It's very unprofessional. Just be aware that for some people it is as off putting as being handed a dog turd.
Dave Carton is it a religious or just upraising? I'm offended when people are abused, corporate greed, selfishness, human rights violations, violence etc. I like that we live in a country where people are allowed to express themselves and I think swearing is a part of your identity if you want it to be. I think it's so minor compared to the real problems in the world. I don't get what you're saying at all.
I've found a lot of value in this video. I just subscribed to this channel (along with Alpha M, the best two channels for gentlemen). I'm 34 years old, and still learning manners (I think the learning process in this matter never ends). Thank you for the great work.

Ever since I have been watching your videos I feel more knowledgeable and organized. I have achieved so much its a blessing and its really pays of to be kind not sometimes but always. I like how you make serious eyes contact on all your videos and speak with so much energy. Yours Thankfully, South Africa
Great video! I totally agree with you on multiple points, especially the impact that cell phones have on common courtesy. It's funny, I read an article recently about how not putting exclamation points at the end of sentences is becoming poor etiquette which is absurd. A couple simple modern manner mistakes are avoiding eye contact, fidgeting and not specifically responding to what people are talking about. I only have two issues with the video... 1.You should've ironed that sweatshirt before making the video :-) 2. The wife's ring was on the wrong finger.
I really find introducing people really hard; from missing the right moment and words to start the introductions to being kinda ignored from one side of the actors. Nice video

Thank you! This might be your best video yet. I couldn't agree more with all of your points. I've been to the restaurant with friends and coworkers and there is always someone checking something in their mobile. Arghhh! I usually go to the washroom to check it out, if it is important. Just a little tip Antonio to improve your video making: Because you don't move a lot during your videos, lock your autofocus in place. Find your focus and leave it there. There were times during this video that your face got out of focus.
Lol. Your replies made me laugh. Keep in mind whatever is in style now is going to be precieved as stupid in about a decade (Just look up '90s, '80s, or '70s fashion. What freaks!!) but trendy is not the same as stylish. If you take time to acknowledge the science of dressing (yes there is a science to it) and clad yourself in a way that expresses confidence AND self-respect you will always look good.
Another point is not speaking a language not understood by a third party in a group. If all understand one particular language, then speak that language so that it does not isolate an individual in a group.
The point you make about the difference between etiquette and manners is very important. Always kind of thinking about the two as kind of the same; there is a huge gap. As an adult, there is no excuse for bad manners.
I'd say so. In many Hispanic cultures it is quite normal to speak loudly while in Europe that is seen as offputting. It really depends. I find I speak loudly with friends but when I'm at work my tone is lowered considerably when I talk to customers as I dont want to come off as disrespectful or pushy
I think you helped me get a new job today. I've been watching your videos an taking your advice. I dressed nicely to the interview yesterday and just got a callback!

Antonio, this was a really great video. Excellent tips to be more human and to go back to basic respect for other people. Environmental awarenness tip is just brilliant. Thank you my friend. Keep going and enjoy life and family. =)
Very nice presentation! Thank you! Problems that I face which to me lack respect is not answering a question, ignoring, nothing at all, in a group, real or virtual, and right after that you see a question followed by an answer. Maybe people don't want to be rude, but they instead are disrespectful when they don't even care to acknowledge the question.
Great tips as always. I would also add poor hygiene. If one has not taken the time and effort in this area it will make a very poor first impression as well.

Excellent video!! One of my favorite sayings is "Manners maketh man".
Names and intros go hand in hand!!
If you refer to people by their name, then you're more likely to remember it and this goes together VERY well with making introductions. Especially if it's a girl, or someone you want to like you, and you see them standing alone and you're in a circle of people. Be the kind of person who walks over and says: "Hi, you should join us; I'll introduce you to everyone."
This demonstrates 2 things:
1) Strength. That you have influence over a group of people. They are willing to let someone new into their circle because you say so.
2) Not selfish.
The important rule that I learned (thank goodness) when I was 18 and just finishing high school: PRAISE IN PUBLIC, COMPLAIN IN PRIVATE. And even if someone is really messing up and they come to the realization that they are messing up, allow them to save face.

"Live a happier life and be the man you know yourself to be"
Love it!
I love how you bring back Classiness which sadly is not fashionable nowadays !!
As I watched the video, I realised I could relate to all of the manners mistakes mentioned and also how much I had improved over time. I still think there are some points I'm yet to work on. Great video. Thanks, Antonio.
Thanks.
Manners transforms man into gentleman
For sure!
It is a pleasure with a man that has good manners; ask any woman.
A very respectful and humanly sensible channel..great job!
Nearly at that million mark Antonio!
30k to go!
Ben!
EveryMan Rumor has it he deletes his channel at one milyawns. Time will tell.
EveryMan I unsubscribed then subscribed so that I could be 1,000,000 subscriber.
so he got 30k sub a day? damn that's fast. it's a million now
Mr. Antonio, this is a nice video.
All your videos are crisp, to the point and very watchable.
Keep up the good work!
Thank you!
I've never thought of situational awareness as "manners" exactly. Interesting thought.
Refreshing how this video doesn't focus on clothing or style at all, but rather, fundamental basics of being a gentleman. Nice video!
Having situational awareness is actually a sign of leadership because you've managed the skill to observe problems and solve them by taking action.
Ignoring this shows that you lack the courage to act or respond because you are uncertain whether your action will solve the problem.
Advice from a gentleman that can apply to everyone.
Semper fi,
Top

Areeb Akhtar I'm still here in Ukraine so cheers from Ukraine! :)
Real Men Real Style cheers from India, thanks for the information
Cheers from Belarus! stay safe, Antonio!)
Dear Sir this is the best video i ever saw in life.In Modern society the human is void of true love, respect, patience, ethics and manners and u explicitly pointed them out.I wish it would help young generation particularly. greetings being a PAKISTANI in S.KOREA
As a great movie once said: "Manners Maketh Man"
I believe that if you make this a point at your Menfluecial event, you'll enrich people's lives. Most people are in the know, but a short reminder always helps. Thanks a lot for your work!
A person that's not honest really bugs me.But the key to being honest and people liking you is having social tact
I guess i need to clean up my fucking mouth. lol.
Andrew Attard Well, I don't know man. Just don't curse in public, because that is fucking disgusting.
*Talking with colleague about weather*
(Wife calls)
-George! The baby is coming! We need to go to the hosp...
*Interrupts*
-Sorry, I can't talk now.
*hangs up*
The price- Pewdiepie dont show the world your stupidity!!!!
You couldn't have said it better. Yes I really would like to see more videos on this topic. I think we are seriously lossing the idea of being well mannered. Thanks.
Good stuff
The introductions one is so true! The number of times I've met people through mutual friends and not been introduced..
LOL I love the intro to this video 😆😆😆😆😆😆
itumblers haha!
Gads, How I have seen that occur with men. I don't care if you wear hobo clothes, jeans, boots are what! No Public snot picks, OK?
Ever since I have been watching your videos I feel more knowledgeable and organized. I have achieved so much its a blessing and its really pays of to be kind not sometimes but always.
I like how you make serious eyes contact on all your videos and speak with so much energy.
Yours Thankfully,
South Africa
Beautiful video! There's a symptom in big cities: some people pretend to be busy to self-indulge in self-importance. #disgusting
As a girl, I have watched a few of your videos, but this one made me subscribe. It all makes sense thank you.
1.You should've ironed that sweatshirt before making the video :-)
2. The wife's ring was on the wrong finger.
I really find introducing people really hard; from missing the right moment and words to start the introductions to being kinda ignored from one side of the actors. Nice video
Working while sick ensures that
A it will take longer for you to get well
B potentially everyone is exposed to what you have.
Dont, just dont. Stay home, get some rest.
I agree. One problem: I don't work, I don't get paid. I haven't had a job that provides sick days in 20 years. I can't afford to take a day off unless I'm half dead.
T Dawg try and leverage above arguments to negotiate sick days. Can't hurt to try.
Very good to see this. To add, talking about items that are too personal and not appropriate for the conversation.
10 tips about being good father, might be nice for some men
АРКАДИЙ АНТ And women.
Great vid, thank you. Talking over another person in conversation could fall under having patience, but it’s definitely a bad trait to have.
As a women I have to say that these manners and etiquette should be adopted by everybody, regardless of sex.
siaworld *real men, real style*
agreed
I wish I had a father like Antonio, very wise and excellent man. Good to be watching this in my early 20's!
Congratulations on 1 000 000 subscribers Antonio!!
Thanks!
Thank you so much for sharing this! From a woman's standpoint, I truly appreciate it! I hope the gentlemen are taking note.
I'd add keeping appropriate eye contact when speaking with someone.
Agreed!
Congrats on the subscriber numbers, Antonio. You are definitely a mentor for me on how to be a better man. Glad to see other men are tuning in as well.
Dustin Shane Merrill Thanks man! Yup we hit it yesterday! I appreciate everyone still around!
Great info! Good Topic. Make some more on that one.
Noted!
+Real Men Real Style
Hey Anntonio next time make a video on how to iron dress shirts and trousers so that they have the proper creases and also how to maintain them
I'm from India.. thanks for making nice videos!
I'm 14 years old and your videos really helped making me a young gentelman, thank you.
can you make a video about dressing better in highschool without being the weird kid in a suit
BE WEIRD
We are all weird
why are you acting normal?
Actual "" normal "" people are extremely rare
Bobby Jensen dress nice in casual clothes. No need for a suit in high school.
perhaps a button down shirt, jeans and a belt.
wear casual clothes and just make sure it fits u right... just dont wear a suit or youll look like a douche
Very helpful reminder
Sometimes it seems like the cell phone rules people's lives. Great Advice
Thanks
Another point is not speaking a language not understood by a third party in a group. If all understand one particular language, then speak that language so that it does not isolate an individual in a group.
burble74 At my job they always do that I don't say anything but I be mad asf
The point you make about the difference between etiquette and manners is very important. Always kind of thinking about the two as kind of the same; there is a huge gap. As an adult, there is no excuse for bad manners.
How about speaking loudly in a public places? (mights fall under etiquette.)
The beginning of the video is so hilarious! 😂 And I really hate people who pick their nose in public and who are constantly on their phones!!
Out of all the videos you have done, this one was your absolute best! Me personally, I need to watch this once a week until this becomes automatic.
congrats on a million maan!
Thanks, man! :)
You deserve it :)
I am a woman and I enjoy your videos. A lot of what you say can goes beyond sex and I appreciate the information.
my friend is lefty and can he wear watch on his right hand because whenever he will do anything like writing or anything else that watch can be stratched
Vishal K I'm right handed and wear it on my right hand, it's more convenient
Vishal K I'm righty an I wear my watch on the right to cover up a wrist tattoo I got when I was 17.
Vishii K that's a good point, when seated at a conference or dining table, I always work to have others sit to my right, this way we are not bumping elbows whilst eating or writing.
Bought a few suits recently. Never owned anything nice prior. Wanted to learn more about suits before I really started collecting them. I’ve learned so much about dressing nice from you. I tuck in my regular shirts now and I feel great because Embarrassed if I was to bend over. Thanks
My brother is on his phone like nonstop. I can't talk to him because he won't be paying attention. So annoying and rude.
Empathy and compassion with healthy boundaries, respect goes both ways. Peace through strength and Faith.
what if I have a bad habit and don't know it?
Julián Álvarez ask a trusted person about it; a brother or sister perhaps.
Absolutely well-said video, Antonio! Good to see being generally respectful is still looked as a good thing. Realised I am lucky to have well-mannered buddies and soulmate. Keep making such carefully structured and informative videos.
(Sorry for mistakes, not English or American)
Now I feel like I'm being rude if I'm scrolling through the comments while Antonio talks in his video. :p
dude you are abso-freaking-lutely right about everything, plus that it DOES work the same in different cultures.
And you know what else i discovered? All these can be done the same way either formally or informally.
Weather you're in your "smooth" suit (like your thumbnail...:)) or in your every day casual, worn out and dirty jeans, it doesn't matter. It's the deeds that count.
No matter the environment, the principals are the same.
Spot on about everything. Loved the video.
I normally open the door to women and let them pass first before me also when I enter in a place.
Nelson Cunha you realize that is sexist and antifeminist.
huanuoya is not sexist, I am being nice
huanuoya how can be sexist open a door to the women pass they say always thank you. I try to be nice and a gentleman. You don't understand what I wrote I see.
huanuoya all women love this kind of thing my grandmother teaches me to do this. Is not sexist and antifeminist. Why do you say? How being nice is sexist?
huanuoya all women tell me they love I do that and say I am being nice and a gentleman. I treat all women with respect and nice. You truly didn't understand what I commented. Is not sexist and antifeminist to be nice to women. I never look to them in a sexual way.
Great video !
Appreciate : 1) good manners specially at home 2) Being patient. Thx
Antonio, this was a really great video. Excellent tips to be more human and to go back to basic respect for other people. Environmental awarenness tip is just brilliant. Thank you my friend. Keep going and enjoy life and family. =)
Marco Arriagada Díaz Thanks Marco!
Good one, Jim!
It is important for men to live with honor and dignity. I find myself, as a man, responsible to remind others to notice and fix mistakes in their social behavior and I will never get tired of it. I salute you for putting your time into doing the right thing, sir!
Boom!
No "dead fish" hand-shakes.
I was born in KIEV! THAT'S AWESOME!! YOU PROVIDE THE BEST CONTACT! Thank you
Interesting. First Aaron uploads a video im which he is not recommending (selling) any product. Now Antonio follows up. Is this a new years resolution? I guess tomorrow is Jose's turn. GOD DAMN!!!
Nah - I sell hard on Thursday!
Real Men Real Style Today is tuesday... lol... God damn... lol

The only one of these I struggle with is interrupting people. I'm working on it and getting better. Great video!👍
You literally seem like Spongebob when he became, "normal".
