btw, when Bert Kreischer comes back to Australia to do a show, he'll tell people which bar he's going to after the show, bring a whole crowd of people with him, and tip the bartenders very well for swarming their bar with people. Then he'll get powerhouse drunk and take pictures with people and joke around with them. He's a really friendly guy to his fans!

Hellen Keller was an American girl that was blind, deaf, and dumb from birth. She's famous because her tutor Anne Sullivan taught her to communicate by tapping her fingers on her palm in her own language. There's a movie about it, "The Miracle Worker".
Actually she got sick as an infant and became blind and deaf as a result of the illness. So almost from birth, but not technically. I don’t think she was dumb either, just blind and deaf. If I remember correctly she went on to author a lot of books and got a college degree.
19 months old... She was born, 20 minutes from where I grew up and currently live....
@@michaelterry3885 does that still count as an infant or is that age considered a toddler? Idk. I would still consider that age an infant but I don’t have kids and don’t know exactly the definition for each. But ya, might as well have been from birth because it’s functionally the same outcome. Not like it happened when she was a teen or something like that where she would’ve already learned to read, write, and speak before losing her hearing and sight.
@@CrippledMerc I understand where you're coming from, believe me I get it,...and yes, it can often be somewhat difficult to distinguish between the differences or even Gage the meaning of the the terminologies associated with children especially in early childhood , but, ..as the father of eight "yes 8" children including two sets of twins. I have been forced, by my obligations, duties, and responsibilities as a father.
" mostly by my wife" to learn and understand these terms and many more .... SO....yes to answer your question... technically I do believe she was a toddler, aka...just learning to walk, or just becoming proficient at it , usually between 9 and 18 months of age toddling around. Hence the term...✌ best wishes..

Helen Keller was born in Tuscumbia Alabama, less than 20 minutes from my home .
When she was a little girl just a little over a year 1/2 old, she was stricken ill with a disease that left her both blind and deaf.

What blows my mind is that almost no one realizes that Helen Keller learned to speak and gave speeches & lectures later in life, which is why she was so highly regarded. She was blind and deaf, but not dumb.

You never saw The Miracle Worker? Patty Duke played Helen Keller and Ann Bancroft played her teacher, Annie Sullivan. They both won Academy Awards for it. It's incredible and true!

Dang I love Bert. He's one of he few famous people I'd actually like to meet.
Helen Keller did not invent braille. A French guy named Louis Braille did, hence the name "braille".
2 bears 1 cave is amazing as people have suggested. It is him having a podcast with Tom Segura and they don't do the normal lets ease in to stuff, Tom just right off the bat asks the strangest and two hours in to a weird conversation questions you can think off. There are some amazing highlights. The Coolaid story, the Jennifer Aniston story. I will say it is also a lot of them dying from laughter so if you enjoy that you will enjoy it.
Another nice bit from the same standup as he did both now and the machine story from is when he fought a live actual bear on tv.
