The essence of "live and learn". No better teacher than life. These experiences will truly make you better people. It's a great experience for people who grew up with today's technology, learning how to do things yourself like we used to do. That's something everyone should have to go through these days.

I just discovered your channel and so enjoy following your adventures, they are informative and very uplifting. You're teaching me to lean on and rely on God each day more than I do, so thank you for the time you take to do these videos. I live in Michigan so I also very much enjoy seeing another part of the country that I may never get to visit. Being retired I would love that lifestyle but in this time of covid I'm one that has to stay home, so thank you for providing fun, wholesome adventures to watch. God Bless you and your family.

Were you really making a joke about an actual shortcut roundabout referencing the Donner party? That is so freaking awesome😁🤮 !! That kind of humor is what keeps me watching (and confuses the 99 percent) these updates. Keep them coming. Oh, as I was binge watching "Better Call Saul" the first episode where he is defending the two skaters, the bad guy seems to have a Taurus Public Defender long Barrell with 45 Long Colt ammo. Unlike you had shooting skeet in the dessert. So, it's a good self defense weapon too.... Good to know.

I have a cute story when I was in my 20's my folks had a camper on some property with a dock and boat launch. He needed a special washer to fix the lift and drove 2 hours to get it. When he and my husband returned I asked what it cost? It was made of a special cork material on one side and they said .75 cents that is...... You only bought one I said hummmmmm..... guess where this story is going........ yep you guessed it .... he dropped it in the lake!!!!!! My husband being the McGyver in the family sent my daughter up to the camper to get some saran wrap and a pony tail rubber band then took the pvc pipe from the boat launch wrapped it and used it in the water like a microscope to find the washer.... Thank god the water in the lake was really clear. They did find it but the moral of the story is...... If it's cheap buy more than one..... You never know when you will need it. I love your story I am going to pass your channel onto friends. You both are so uplifting. Please keep on the channel and be safe and healthy in your travels...... Hugs from Minnesota

That’s why I’ve driven the the same 2003 3/4 Dodge Turbo Diesel that I bought new and not “traded up”. It’s not that Dodge vs GMC/Chevy vs Ford truck oil dipstick waving contest. My Dodge just a simpler machine and that generally makes it easier to to work on. Which leads into why you could be driving a custom build Yugo pickup truck (I know...no such thing but for this example ...appreciate your forbearance)
God indeed has kept the Thompsons secure in His hand and given you Dan opportunities to learn things you’d not ordinarily encounter. There’s us nothing that can possibly fail on your ride or rolling home they He can’t address in an instant.
Bridgeport is a beautiful town and the people are not what most think of when non-Californians think of California people. The town’s folk remind me of the people around where I grew up in Milwaukee.
Fun Fact: Making a composite patch out of Duct Tape and JB Cold Weld creates a “bandage” over a high strain, elevated temp point of failure like the one you experienced.
Next time that you’re through Sacramento Dan and we’re not collectively hosting Horseman number 4 and his Pale Steed, I’m hoping that perhaps you and your lovely wife (and kids) would allow us the privilege of extending the hospitality of our home. If nothing else I can get make good on that primo instrument cable I promised you.

If it was a G.M.C. it wouldn't have broke down and they wouldn't have been stranded! Ford stand's for, "found on road dead". Haha. That is why my truck is 22 years old and still running. But seriously all manufacturer's have their issues I worked for Ford and G.M. and I've seen the nightmares on both of them and they both have issues and good points. But the best riding truck is G.M. and the best cooling and heating is G.M. but Ford has the best set up for parking assist and their navigation screen. Mario Guevara this one has been bulletproofed so it’s good to go. In fact, the only issues I’ve had with it so far have been a result the aftermarket parts the previous owner put on it. The engine and transmission themselves have been stellar. The 6.4 is a sadly misunderstood engine. It had a ton of potential and was ruined by the stupid EPA restrictive nonsense. If you “take care” of that stuff, it’ll go a million miles!
