I've had composite veneers done by an amazing dentist for almost 20 years. I'm ready to finally make the leap, and spend the money, on porcelain veneers. Thank you for the detailed explanation. I've been worried I'd have to get my teeth shaved down a LOT. Glad to know that isn't what is done.
Hey! Can you give a little rundown about the upkeep you've had with composite veneers for the past 20 years? Sticking with composite before jumping to porcelain sounds like a dream. How has the upkeep been for your composite and how many times have you had them redone?
I have had one issue with one of the composites where it chipped and had to be built up again. With regular brushing, flossing, and cleanings, they haven't required any other work. My issue isn't with the composites themselves, but teeth next to them that have hairline cracks and need veneers. I'm going to replace the composites with the veneers to have a more cohesive smile.

I'm in the middle of getting mine replaced (upper teeth). The current set lasted over 25 years but the gums have receded on a some of them. One thing the doctor on this video mentioned is the 1 to 2 mm of tooth structure removed is just a "little bit." No it's not, and you have to realize you'll need veneers for life. Look at a ruler and see what a millimeter is. If you won a foot race by a couple of millimeters, OK that's small. When you compare a millimeter to the depth of the tips of your front teeth, it's a lot.
That's what i was thinking! 1 or 2mm is "a little"!? No its not, its a heck of a lot! Your frontal teeth must have around 3mm at the point, and may 6 to 7mm at the base. 1 or 2mm is far more than i ever thought would be necessary to remove.

I suggest not to get veneers unless you have really messed up ugly looking front teeth and unless you got ton of money to reveneer every 10-12 years. If the veneer comes off and you can not afford to redo again you will be left with some shallow pointy teeth with nasty gap of 2mm.
Why prices are so different everywhere? I found places for 25000 or more, I just want to make the right decision and the right place and not get played like i did when I got my first car.
Very helpful, considering veneers but I grind my teeth. Cannot keep night protection as they annoy me. I’m also worried about if the colour of the veneers is too far from my own teeth, lest say if I only take 4 front teeth as dentist recommended.
I heard never do just 4 teeth. That’s what I don’t understand. Who wants new teeth to match the old teeth because that’s what they’d have to match or it wouldn’t look consistent. I also grind my teeth and my lowers are chipped but uppers are fine.
I've never had a cavity or loose tooth until I went for cleaning and the hygienist numbed my mouth and literally left 6 my teeth dangling in my mouth, then the dentist hands me a card and said I need to see a specialist to have my wisdom teeth pulled or my front teeth will go crooked. I didn't need a specialist because I pulled the teeth myself that his hygienist left hanging loose in my mouth. That was 5 years ago and my front tooth on the right side of my mouth is now bucked and feeling loose. I feel like crying. I was 50 years old had very early onslaught of gingivitis and no cavities my whole life. I still haven't had a cavity. I cannot afford to fix the hygienist mistake.
I know your pain. My hygienist destroyed my ortho treatment and scraped off enamel in between teeth leaving huge gaps. Honestly I should have filed a lawsuit because this is ILLEGAL. Hope it gets better for you.
This doesn’t sound like a hygienist’s mistake. They don’t hurt you and they don’t use instruments that can cause such things. You were able to get those teeth out by yourself (especially wisdom teeth) so i think you might have overestimated your condition. Most likely you already had a lot of problems, maybe dental calculus build up, bone loss, gingival retraction. The dental tartar might have been the only one keeping your teeth into place and when it got removed you felt them dangling. Not enough Information to give my opinion though. I advise you to seek professional help from a periodontist which is the doctor that treats gum diseases. I’m sorry this happened to you, but don’t lose hope!
I went in today to finish up on work from a month ago and when I woke up off the general anesthesia turns out They just Slipped veneers in as well. so uh I have veneers now I would be complaining But I kinda like them so.

I broke my 4 front teeth. Now it’s not looking fine, can veneers help reshape the broken parts?

What about the pop on veneers ..
I've seen a few commercials
How do you find a good dentist to do this?
What if I have veneers already and they are stained with smoking and coffee. How can I clean them?
I don't believe Veneers can stain. Maybe the cement around the veneers?
Do i still need to wear a retainer after having veeners ?
Why prices are so different everywhere? I found places for 25000 or more, I just want to make the right decision and the right place and not get played like i did when I got my first car.
Every city is different, unfortunately. $1000 per tooth is normal, but if you go to a high-end dentist, they can charge up to 3k per tooth!
Hey should i take up for crownds for front 6 teeths as my teeths are big
$1000 each? So my dentist is overcharging at 2k
What happens if your teeth shift? Or do veneers prevent that?

Hi Doctor I am a going boxing 5 days a week and we do competitions too, what will be the recommended for the teeth whitening
Also, always go where they have an in house lab.
@@LeeCabellWld u pls share why u were told never get just 4?
Would u recommend 1 front tooth veneer ...
How will dentist do new set of veneers? Will he remove the current ones for the wax up or will he put new on top of old?
How many days total from 1st to 3rd visits to get those veneers?
if you have bridge, do you have to remove??? thats not going to be very easy right?
Omg love the picture memes and stuff lmao 🤣
Wow thanks for the great video
Glad you enjoyed it
I've never had a cavity or loose tooth until I went for cleaning and the hygienist numbed my mouth and literally left 6 my teeth dangling in my mouth, then the dentist hands me a card and said I need to see a specialist to have my wisdom teeth pulled or my front teeth will go crooked.
🙏
I know your pain. My hygienist destroyed my ortho treatment and scraped off enamel in between teeth leaving huge gaps. Honestly I should have filed a lawsuit because this is ILLEGAL. Hope it gets better for you.
Oh no, a cavity oh my god oh no!
Your veneers look great
Are your teeth just bleached or why they are so white?
Can you get veneers if you use a mouth piece for jujitsu?
Hi. What colour are your teeth please?
What type of food to avoid when wearing veneers?
Based from what I got at kriss ai, it said you should avoid hard foods, sticky foods, staining foods and beverages, and sugar foods
@@lunasol435-tw8ij that's a good suggestion. Btw what is kriss?

Do you have veneers? Your teeth are extremely white. What shade is usually recommended for 6 veneers? The bleaching shades are so popular but I wouldn't want it to be obvious they're not real.
