I love to watch you create. It's amazing to see how all the separate things come together and form such a fluid piece of art. Thank you for sharing your creative process with us.
WOW, that page is gorgeous! The shine from the gold mica paint is amazing! I guess it's true what my husband always says....I'm easily distracted by shiny objects! I'm putting that paint on my wish list! TFS, Heather
I just spent ages watching a ton of your videos, and I have fallen in love with your art style. It is so amazing! I might even try something like this. It doesn't focus on drawing clean crisp lines, and you don't have to know how to draw hands xD (hands are SO HARD). It's more just being creative and having fun :D
Your work never fails to amaze and delight me. I particularly like the colour scheme of this one, and the way the gold makes the page shimmer! It's gorgeous. Keep them coming!
Always love your work. The way you do the videos with time lapse and product identification is particularly helpful. Keep going! You inspire and teach us.
I love your techniques and videos. I have learned a lot watching your videos and look forward to any others you put on this channel. Thanks so so much for sharing!
Dear Rach, thankyou for sharing another beautiful peice of your craft work . That gold mica paint is beautiful, lovely & transparent. Take great care, Lee :-)
I just love seeing you create and your beautiful results. Another wonderful video. Please keep these coming. thank you so much for sharing with me! Fareeda
I think whether they curl or not depends on the type of paper you use - This is a Moleskeine Sketch Journal and the pages are almost cardstock weight. Thinner pages would obviously curl, but if that's a problem for you, they will propbably flatten out again when you close your journal :-)
Gesso is a prima and is more like white acrylic paint, mod podge is a tacky glue and not suitable for journal pages as they stick together afterwards. Gel mediums or matt medium are my preferance for adhesives as they do not leave a sticky or tacky residue on pages. Hope that helps :-)
Ooo La La this is lovely! Only just subscribed a week ago and am already suffering withdrawal between videos! I love watching you work-- what an inspiration you are!
If you use a baby wipe, the moisture in it will make it easier to wipe back paint. Also, any surfaces of your work that have been coated with a gel medium will wipe back easily. Hope that helps :-)
Great video Rach, This one is gorgeous(they all are)! You have inspired me so much to try new things. I'm gonna try to make myself a mini journal with all the background techniques I've been trying thanks to you & Fiona(jennings644). & That music is so catchy...lol
I live in iran and all those fancy stamps and dies and stencils which are all around youtube are not available here and Amazon wont ship here as well , so I decided to use what is available here which is vintage tissue paper and printer :D I was thinking the other day that I can art journal about ancient queens and your video helped me a lot , thank you.
@MsTagestraumer I've never had any pages stick together with matt medium, some of my others stick a little if I've used other products though - you can keep a piece of wax paper between pages to stop this happening, and I've heard coating the pages with Turtle Wax meant for cars helps too - not tried that though.
@marie41422 I guess there are some similarities, but matt medium is much thinner, creates very few wrinkles and is not sticky when you apply it. I don't get along with Mod Podge as it is way too sticky and thick for me, but it's personal preference really.
Your sense of whimsy is overpoweringly beautiful. Do you have your sketchbook filled yet? If you do can you make a video of going through it page by page? (if you haven't already) Thank you for your beautiful work. I absolutely love it.
You work with the coolest mediums. Another great inspiration. Thank you. Please tell me you have a video upload somewhere for that art creation on the page before this one. Very cool, even at a glimpse. ?
Great work, I love these art journal videos :) It's such a good idea!! And I dunno if you noticed, but the 'O's look like eyes and part of the damask stencil looks like lips and nose XD I'd like to start a journal like this... do you have to use some kind of spray sealer once your done or do you not have to worry about transferring from one page to the other?
I love this page I had to watch it twice though, the first I got transfixed on the "oo" side when you did the stencil inside the two "oo"s the stencil looks like one eye and a nose and mouth just in the right place but as usual you have done a wonderful job I would love to be in your head for a while the tour would be fasinating........ha ha Colleen
Rach. I always look fwd to ur beautiful uploads :) I hve a question tho' .. do u use these journals to write on? Or to add photos? Or is it jst for display? I've always wondered. I would be sooooooo honored to ever rcve one of these journals from u. U do a fantastic fantastic job! Tfs.
Did you do a video on the pages before this one, the page Im particularly interested in is the one before with the hearts. Any chance you could do one of this as I really like that too. Love all your videos.
Once again, a great video that garners lots of admiration and gives birth to many ideas. My birthday is coming up and I have a lengthy list of art supplies so I can try and do what you do. Question: what is the song in the video?
I have OLSS (Oooh look shiny syndrome) and I just got my fix watching this vid ;)) I would love to know, do you plan a page or just look at your stash and think I'll use this and that or do you dream about it and put it down on paper the first chance you get or look at other art and adverts and take little bit from each or just look at the page and let it decide what it wants to be or all of the above...enquiring minds want to know... Love everything you do...TFS
Watching your journal videos make want to start my own. Such a shame I can't do ANYTHING that like. Do you have any Flip-Through videos of your journal/s I would love to see one! (:
You make it look so simple. The trait of a true artist. Could you tell me the company that made the alpha stamp you used. (OO LA LA) I saw your Ustream video dated Feb 4 where you showed some RAK's sent to you including the clear alpha alphabet. I am so inspired by your work. I turn one of your videos on and I work on my art journal, it is like working along side a friend. Thank you for sharing.
Another lovely page. You are clearly inspired by many things. I notice you use a large variety of alaphabet stamps in your work, I particularly like the one in this piece. Is it one that is currently available to buy? Thanks for your brill work...
Thanks for your kind words Netti. The alphabet set used in this video was a gift from a friend. I'm not sure where she got it, or where you can buy it though. Sorry, I can't be more help, perhaps try looking on ebay for it. :-)
Your Art should be seen everywhere in the WHOLE WORLD!!!

The gesso needs to be dry when used as a primer, but I often use it like white paint to blend and lighten colours too.
I am always amaze at the great ideas you have....love your videos = )
I love this soooo much!!
Beautiful color combinations!
Such beautiful work! This is awesome. You are so creative and talented. TFS ~j~ xo
