i really appreciate your videos. i am a been making knives for about 4 months now and you have help me advoid alot of errors. i believe this is somewhat of a art. i also think do it your self, made quality in the usa is taking a big step forward in getting our country back to what it ought to be. thank you very much!
just a quick question. why do you pound the pins in with so much extra? it would seem you could conserve your pin supply somewhat if you cut them down a bit before assembly. just wondering. beautiful work by the way...
Just a word of advice on the American Bowie model, I would consider removing the forward lanyard hole. Apparently said hole is trademarked or copyrighted (not sure which one) by Busse as the "Talon Hole". A hobbyist maker on bladeforums made a knife with it and was contacted by Jerry Busse' unhappy lawyers. It's totally absurd.
I know you have talked about convex edges in your other videos, maybe I'm not seeing it but do you have any videos going through the steps to make and sharpen a convex edge on a custom blade?
Is their a reason you cut your pins so long for when you glue together? i know u want to leave room for error fut when you are making a lot of knives it seems like it could save some cash if you used less,
Totally agree, it's ridiculous to have such a feature trademarked. Luckily I only think that maker felt Busse' wrath because his customer posted it in the Busse forum.
I have watched all the tutorials there is on youtube and other places, still I'm glued to yours when they are released :)
