Its so bizzare that a predatory , financially abusive extra marital affair is celebrated as a "love story". Nargis himself referred to rk as "that horrible man" for the rest of her life. She even forbade her niece from talking to RK even though he offered the niece a blank cheque to work with him.

There is another great angle to this story. Jaddan Bai was a child bride of a much older and rich Brahmin. He died one year after marrying her. She was only 12 then. Her in-laws told her to start wearing only white sarees. She had long, beautiful black hair which she loved to adorn and care for. She was informed that in a few days they were going to take her to Varanasi where her head would be shorn and she would have to live there forever. This prospect frightened her to the point of distraction. In those days a group of itinerant Muslim performers had parked near her family haveli. They would ask her for water and she would draw water from the family well secretly and give it to them to drink. One day they asked her why she was looking so distraught and she told them her story. They sympathized with her and apologised that they were too poor to help her. But they offered to take her with them if she wanted. For her it was a godsend! One night she slipped out of the house and went away with them forever without telling anyone. Soon she converted to Islam and was named Jaddan Bai but they trained her in singing, acting and theater as that was their occupation. That is why in later years she took to cinema and acting so fast. She used to sing in mehfils and for many years a Hindu businessman chased her till she agreed to marry him. Datt was her son in low so he wrote that but indrusty knows all that things Jaddan by was very femos prostitut of Indor gharana and also belong to Lakhanuw gharana after meet Nargish Father she became uppatni of his she lived welthy life ,after his death she move to Mumbai and join film indrusty and made many affairs and children, she hold parties to connect filmy pple like Prithaviraj kapoor , Devica rani ,Mukharaji family and many more, Naragish ji was not a daughter of Brahmin her father was marchent these things are real and every body know this but respect mentenetion is brecker before bollywood story is still wrong, we know becoz we live in Lakhanow and here story is clear
