Rishi kapoor did really well especially in his second run. Besides that he kept himself standing as a romantic hero in a very Action focused era. That's not a small thing. Even Indias first superstar rajesh Khannas failed when he tried to make a comeback after being away. But rishi sir actually improved and came back stronger then ever.

Coincidentally saw randhir kapoors kal aaj aur kal recently he also wasn't bad for a first film considering he was also directing it. Just rajeev kapoor didn't manage to get successful. That too seems to be mainly because he looked so similar to shammi kapoor and also kept getting similar movies like shammiji so he couldn't succeed to get out of that image. But thats no reason to call a person mediocre.
