Nothing I love more than an old video that ACTUALLY helps and is straight to the point 👌🏽👌🏽
Gotta love it, no life story why they became a carpenter, no 20min reason why they're doing the project.

LoL, so true. I’m just looking how to make a straight cut. I’m sitting through 20 minute videos 🤓
So simple, and yet I never thought of it. Thank you!
I should have watched your vid before this morning's project! Thanks
same :(
me too.
Same here. I used one of those little crappy fences for my saw and my this plywood came out all crooked.
Now I have to go buy more today and hope fully cut it straight today.
Me too had to go get some more wood for a little project
Glad I decided to watch this first...looking to cut plywood for diy shutters this hurricane season
Straight to the point and very informative.
Keep up the great work.
Thank you I don't know why everybody else is trying to make it so complicated this is exactly what I had in mind

Okay, I tried it tonight. And it works like a charm! Thanks again :)
I want to thank you for this. I was getting my husband to make the cuts I needed with the circular saw, but I just used it myself for the first time. It was easier than I thought, but I never would have tried if I hadn't watched this video. Thanks!!
Thank you! Best explanation I've found on UA-cam! Very helpful
I was having a hard time getting down the length of the plywood! I didn’t realize that I didn’t have to be behind the saw! Thanks for the video!
I've had a skill saw for a few years now and I never thought of youtubing how to do a straight cut. Now I know how to do it, and I feel extremely empowered. Thank you Shannon!
Thank you soooooo much dude! This girl is fixing to make my pops proud. I've never used a circular saw before, but fixing to now. Thank you. I hope you have a great day!

thank you for sharing!
thank you teacher so simple and easy
Wish I would have watched this months ago. And thanks for toning down the saw noise when you did the cut.
No worries!
Yes, it did! Thank you so much!!!
I tend to keep holding up the guard up long after I don't have to as well, and then when i get to the end of the cut I remember to let go of it but it's too late for me to get my respect back that I did that again. Always enjoy a Shannon video!
Thanks for watching
Simplicity at its best!
The best, short and simple minus the dollars from buying or making a jig.
thanks! Great tips
Amazing content, thank you so much!
Awesome. Thanks!
This is a great video. Thank you for making it.
My pleasure!
Very helpful thankyou.
*Thank You!*
I’ve just bought a Festool plunge saw ...I used to use this method but the track saw is well worth the investment..thanks
That's very helpful 👍
That's so smart, why didn't I figure it out!? Thank you.

im a beginer sir and your vid helps me a lot..thank you GodBless and will you kindly visit my vids thank you...
Thank You Sir 👍
Thanks for that. I have to cut 1/8th of an inch off the top of a door and was trying to figure a way to make a straight cut.
Thank you!
Awesome thx so much
Thank you.
Thanks a lot.
Thanks 🙏
perfect, I am doing this.
Thanks so much!
thank you
Dude is a dude thankyou
Very useful information. For a while there I was thinking I would have to go out and buy a table saw. Which really wouldn't be cost effective since it wouldn't be something I'd use often enough to merit spending all that money on. Thank You very much! :)
This is amazing, I'll do your way
thanks Shannon ...
You are welcome
Good instruction. I have found that I sometimes have to hold the guard up at the start when cutting angles with the circular saw.If you don't it can jam on the pointed end at the start of your cut. Once you have cleared the pointed edge on your material you can release the guard and it seems to work fine.
true.
thanks for the tip !
Your welcome
Thank You...👍
thanks sir.
Hi i have a question...
Will a 165mm blade fit a circular saw with 160mm blade, the bore is the same on both blade 20mm?
Thanks!
Helpful, thanks
You're welcome!
Super... Adipoli (in malayalam super and gorgeous) u rocked man
Thks just going to do this, thought id check with u
Worked great, except the music didn't play when I made the cut so I figured I did it wrong and threw out all my lumber. I'll try again tomorrow, thanks!
hope it plays tomorrow! LOL.
Thanks.
Your videos are great! The only thing I'd do differently is to make the blade of the circular saw as deep as possible. A deeper blade helps keep the cut straight.
That does help but is also more dangerous for any first timers or people with little experience.
Thanks
Thanks Shannon. People should be aware that if the plywood dips in the centre the edge of the circular saw can go underneath thereby damaging the cut.
true enough, never thought to mention that. Should always work on a secure surface to avoid those types of problems but I know it can happen
Yes it does help me, Thankyou. I've always been under the impression that you don't use the narrow edge from the blade because it has the minimum seating on the wood, thereby not getting the squarest of cuts. Also, I was under the impression that you don't put the saw on the unsupported side of the wood being cut. But you didn't have any difficulty, in fact it looked the easiest and most comfortable way to cut the length of wood, and for me it will definitely be an easier way. Thankyou once again.
i know Im asking randomly but does anybody know a method to log back into an instagram account..?
I stupidly forgot my account password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me
@August Archer instablaster ;)
@Lance Thiago i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process now.
Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Lance Thiago it did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thank you so much you saved my account!
@August Archer happy to help :)
Thanks for the video. My i know the number of circular blade used to give a clean cut of plywood. 70, 80, 90? Tq
Shannon, love your videos- very informative! I am curious about the green pieces of tape in this video? They are on your cabinets and also the circular saw.
This is just "painters tape" its a masking tape that is easy to remove when you are finished with it. Every manufacture has its own colour ,blue and green are pretty common.
