@@sunshinexoxo3052 Are the incidences of celebrities with narcissistic personality disorder higher than that of the general population? A 2006 study by Dr. Drew Pinsky concludes that, as a demographic group, actors and entertainers have more narcissistic tendencies (narcissistic personality disorder symptoms) than the rest of the U.S. population. This study gave credence to the natural proclivity of the media and public to label celebrities as narcissists, even when there was no diagnosis or record of treatment for narcissistic personality disorder. Not all Hollywood stars have narcissistic tendencies but the fame they receive, the special treatment brings out in them those tendencies. Can anyone handle massive fame? I doubt it...

I was a severe drug / alcohol addict for 25 years. I watched at least 35 people die around me, had multiple overdoses myself and was hospitalised 100's of times. Addiction is a bizarre condition where you think you're ok when in fact you're completely and utterly insane. I went to rehab 7 times altogether before i finally managed to get sober, then spent years cleaning up the wreckage i left behind. Some days i wake up in a shock and just can't believe i'm sober and still alive. There is nothing more profound than getting clean after 2 decades of having your head shoved deep up your ass.

I've got millionaire family members who've suffered similar fates & nobody knew or gave a damn because they're not famous. Having too much money & no real struggles (doing your own errands/chores, paying bills, etc) can be a problem in itself.

It is a struggle. They hustle for every role and literally have to stay in the news to get any publicity. They are easily replaceable by the next wannabe fresh faced star and cannot go back to working at a basic shop. They have a lifestyle to maintain and have to pay to maintain it not to mention pay those around them. The average person isn’t having those issues for the most part. If all else fails, Government tend to help them (where I’m from anyway). Poor addicts still get their fix. If they didn’t. The vast majority will be in rehab relapsing but that isn’t what is happening. Yet they are alive and well for the most part. There is more to it.

So true. Thank you. If you could go back to descriptions of the Betty Ford Clinic, you would see that cleaning of rooms and common areas was required, as part of the recovery process. Elizabeth Taylor explained in an interview that as a Betty Ford Clinic resident, she had cleaned bathrooms and washed dishes for the absolute first time in her life. At the age of 50 (plus some years) she cleaned rooms for the first time. I don't know how Betty Ford came around to understanding that the absence of chores and basic daily tasks could be part of an underlying problem in the life of an addicted person, whether wealthy and famous, or just plain wealthy. Thank you for your comment.

Me too. Hopelessly and without an end in sight. No veins left and no hope. None. Death and loneliness all around.
I went to rehab and have been clean since January 15 if 2017. It’s possible. I used from 2003 to that day I went to rehab in the end of 2016. Everyday up to a quarter of heroin a day once OxyContin changed their original formula and it was to much of a pain to shoot. It’s possible but you have to be ready and it was hard to face reality at first. After about a month the cloudiness dissipated and I could feel and smell and find fun in things that I couldn’t before. I smiled because I could just be in peace and wake up not sick and not spend my entire day poking myself looking for a vein. You can do it and you are worth it. You are loved and there is a reason you are here in earth. Find it and thrive. I believe in you. You have to be ready and have to go to a rehab center that’s out of your comfort area. Out of state. Make it your goal and fight because you can do it. Life is waiting for you to rejoin. I know you can do it and I pray you see that you can. Hit me up. Respect

I was hanging out with the singer out front before they went on - Why is that broken down phone still there? He told me they keep it there cause it's a tourist attraction, being the phone Joaquin made the 911 call from. I haven't been back to Hollywierd since, it always gave me bad vibes. The wife & I were recently told were on the quest list for their upcoming show. We declined & decided were done with LA. One reasons why I think a lot people in Hollywood are addicted to drugs (specifically stimulants and depressants) are the working hours. Working on a production takes long hours, sometimes 12-18 hours on set. That's a tough schedule to keep up daily. You need drugs to help you stay awake, and drugs to help you fall asleep. And if you're a touring artists, you're traveling in different time zones every 2-3 days. That takes a toll on anyone. Before you know it, you're an addict.
