update: i was able to contact support and have started a swap to go from the small to a medium. i will say, after the 4 days of use, after just the second day i got pretty used to the mouse and was able to get a decent fingertip grip on it, the only problem was that since it was too small, i was basically folding my hand in half to grip it, which was causing wrist and hand pain. i got really good with it though, even after coming back to fps games after taking a year long break from them, i was hitting some clean shots across games like apex, valorant, overwatch. the ease of aiming with it and the shape felt so easy to aim, especially tracking. it was a short 4 days of use, and while at first i didnt think too much about the weight, after swapping back to the superlight for a day, the thing feels like a brick now in comparison and it's actually really hard to aim with it, it really made me realize just how light the ulx really is. hoping to get the medium back quickly, it should fit a lot better, since it's just a bit smaller than the superlight, which was my only real complaint about it when i got it, it's just slightly too big, so the medium ulx should essentially be perfect, a bit bigger than the small ulx, but a bit smaller than the superlight. will make a follow video or comment when the medium comes in.
Update 3: FINALLY after 18 days, I'm getting the medium sent out. Apparently my return was never checked, so had I not sent a follow up email, I would've been stuck in a waiting loop. Shout-out Evan from finalmouse support, for emailing back literally within 10 minutes, both confirming it wasn't checked in, and also immediately putting in the order for it to be shipped out, all within an hour. Honestly, at this point I probably should've just refunded since I was given the choice and instead waited for the ulx raw (rumored for September-ish), but idk if waiting another month-month and a half is worth, going back to my old mice has unironically been painful, so I really just want that weight and feel of the ulx back in my hand. I'm really hoping the medium size is exactly what I was looking for and don't somehow end up regretting sending back the small.
FINAL UPDATE: ended up refunding, they seemingly just couldnt send out the new mouse. either they just didnt have an extra medium laying around, or idk they just didnt want to send me one. an entire month of wait time for basically no reason, pretty unfortunate. it sat there for 10 days, and was apparently never checked in, finally got checked in after i asked about it, then got told the shipping order got put in and itll ship out within the week, didnt ship out within the week and a full week went by with no updates, i asked again and apparently the shipping order was also never actually put in, so i ended up just requesting a refund, cause after a month of no mouse and being -$200, i was not trying to continue the back and forth. idk if ill go for the raw/comp drop, or if ill wait for the new pulsar drops, specifically looking into the x2h2 for my first pulsar mouse, i guess itll depend on what the release schedule is looking like. being forced back on the aria is pretty tragic though, im spoiled off the ulx weight now, so the superlight is legit unusable for me and ive swapped the solid back shell of the aria to the holed one, cause it also just feels like a brick now, so the ~1.5g reduction is a must. kinda bummed about how this played out, but i also feel like this was a secret blessing in disguise, let's see what the future holds for mouse releases, as long as i can get something before black ops 6, im chillin, since i plan on going hard on that game.
@@SoUnOriginal It wasn't me, it was a friend, but it was size medium and he requested it to be changed to large and he sent it back. This was for a older batch ULX. I'm sure it's the same for this version as they usually have extras that were never shipped or canceled.
want to say thanks for letting me know about the exchange thing, I was able to get a swap started. surprisingly got a reply within the same day (on a sunday at that), will update if there are any issues with the process.

Update 2: still waiting on info for when the medium will be shipped out to me... This wait is killing me, need that mouse feel back in my hand.

In the description you said you should have gotten medium. You can contact finalmouse support and swap sizes but only once.
i didnt know that, ill have to check that out. im assuming since ive used it, ill have to pay some restock though. i appreciate the info!!!
@SoUnOriginal no need to pay anything. Finalmouse support, while slow, is pretty generous. I received my copy today, and it's perfect.
@@itsjaesura nice, what size and what were you using before?
