I don't think you can call it a "bus" anymore LOL It looks like a luxury "motor coach" on the inside! I am just blown away by what y'all have accomplished in building this. I can't wait for the video tour of the completed project. Just amazing.

Good information and I love the way you involve your son in the work. I will say though..... Having your tile finished before the rough in toilet plumbing is pretty risky move. Then again, it seemed to work out great.
Dear bus life, this is you BBLF (Best Bus Life Friend). I’m sorry it’s been a while since I’ve commented, things have been quite busy. I’ve just got to say that your family is one of the most loving families in the way you communicate and talk. I’m so glad the bus is almost done. From the seven to six months time. I’ll bet you that even if I tried to install a toilet, it would take me weeks! You guys are professionals! I’m so glad the Good News bus 1.0 is going to good hands to be taken care of. I just gotta say that the history of the first good news bus should be a memory of a lifetime-all the adventures. I would like to ask all you guys a question -what’s your favorite memory on the first Good News Bus? I also learned that good stuff comes and goes but I am so glad that for you guys you could let go of the old bus and have a great new one. I just gotta say that I’m so glad that soon you will be on the road traveling and seeing seeing new stuff. I’m pretty sure that even if you’ve been in almost every American state, there is more to see, so go back and enjoy it more and your viewers will too. I still dream of seeing you guys someday, and if you ever travel near my state, I let you know. I just hope your family has good luck and good compassion and everyone who watches has good support and good compassion, because your video really gives a good message to everyone who watches. Shane make sure you front tires are real good old tires are maypops MAY POP AT ANYTIME we had a dulley with ok tires went through the mountains @ 65 puling a 40 foot trailer rt front blew it took a lot of muscle to keep it on the road make a mess with the inner fender locked up the wheel , stop at a tire dealership baaam 6 new tires went on NUFF SAID LOL
Now that that I think about it u could take a standard elongated porcelain bowl seal up the hole if using no water put the right kind of container and bag and just dump it when needed now I know that's not what doing and I wonder if u could use the new style toilet that uses. 5 gal water for #1 let #2 go in bag so u could just use gray water tank for one person a family like yours what your doing is fine and u have a beautiful family I might ad its like watching a movie next academy award ceramonies good job

camphor the bottom of the pipe so it slips into the grommet. you could even put a little Vaseline in the bottom also. really your pipe should go into the grommet into the tank 2 inches to allow for travel movment
So precious. I'm going to install a bidet in my bus with its own separate water and Battery Bank and pump hope your day is so much cleaner and easier and cheaper
I had that toilet in my 36ft Georgia Boy. My new Crossroad cruiser have a plastic one. It will be changed out. I love the spray hose on that toilet. Beautiful Baby Girl. Always look forward to your new Vids.

Everything is looking good can’t wait till it’s time to see your journey on the road I am on complaints that I have is that your videos are too short guys are so much fun to watch and so enjoyable to watch and I wish they were a half hour to 45 minutes long if not longer because I could watch a video from you guys for a long time that Bus is going to last forever if you ever sell it people hit by bus just took care of that you have taken to build it in the materials that you have used oh one more thing is it going to be so you can drive it across the ocean to come the whole way there and visit I would love to see you guys hee hee but no I would really like to see you in person you guys are awesome people I like the way you are raising your family Take care and aloha

Everybody will decide what works best for them. I use a composting toilet and by that I mean a $4 5 gallon bucket with a tight fitting lid and cover material not some overpriced $1000 Natures Head composting crapper. I would absolutely not want anything to do with a regular crapper, disgusting hoses that you have to store on the bus, and black tanks that must be dumped. Awesome build so far!
For us it is a must. Too many people to use anything else and honestly it really isn’t that bad.
You shouldn't put silicon around the base of any toilet. If there's ever a leak at the seal you won't know until the floor underneath is rotted.

How close to the bottom of the tank did you set the pipe? Our RV clogs up because that pipe is to close to the bottom of the tank.
I made sure the pipe only comes to the edge of the seal.
Who's bunk is who's ?
So that rubber grommet is the rv replacement for the wax donut ?
Yes!
Wax ring is to seal toilet and flange, the grommet is on the black tank .
Did the toilet come with the flange ?
If you mean the first part that screws to the floor, no.

The Bus Life one thing when you do go over your engine with a fine tooth comb get a big fire extinguisher , BIG ONE my best buddy. Has a cat he had relay on engine got smoking ,keep the REAR
of the coach in camera view ,send out a oil sample ,anti freeze ,they work real good ,make sure your hoses are good ,those motors last a long time ,when they break ouch on the pocket book 😀 get the engine # research the issues that might pop up ,do a quick inspection when you fuel up make sure your anti freeze is green if your coolant gets ascidit it will play ouch on the liners nuff said just concerned I'm an old mechanic lol ROTELLA OIL GREEN GREEN ANTI FREEZE 😋😋😋😋😋

I love the way your children are around you when you are working on projects and in such a small space. Many people would urge their children away with the thought of making the process go faster. There were times I was like that, but not more than 30% of the time. (Don’t know how I can actually measure, my oldest of four is 34 and the “baby,” my only son is 24). That was a ling time ago. It certainly helps a WHOLE LOT when parents are on the same page in every way. I can’t get that back. I have many accomplishments that will not go noticed or remembered by family and friends, however I’m thankful for what the Lord has given me, and that was to be a stay-at-home and homeschooling momma; my first greatest job description. No regrets and no one can steal it from me.
Lastly, you are a blessing to show, describe the process and product research of your new home. It should help so many searching alternatives. And if no one says thank you, I’m saying it for them all.....Thank you!

I'm kinda tired of watching people install a composting toilet, thinking it's some magic answer to waste. All they do is separate out the liquids, which then need to be dumped daily. . . somewhere. It's nice to see someone do this correctly. With all those boys wouldn't a urinal be a nice thing?
