I'm so tired of all these college football commentators dogging the playoff system this year??? It was absolutely perfect and it made the regular season more interesting. If the field wasn't expanded; we wouldn't even have Ohio State in the picture??? Blame SMU for dropping the ball against Clemson and allowing Clemson into the playoff which everyone knew was a joke but they earned the ACC title. Every league has to be allowed to have a chance and thank God we had a Boise State in the field because if not; we would have had Clemson with a first round bye???? This playoff has been amazing and I'm so glad they expanded FINALLY!! Arizona State won their league outright and they deserve a fighting chance like anyone else?? Having home field advantage is just as important or maybe even more important than getting the bye. I would imagine that at least half the teams who had home field advantage will win their games in the quarterfinals so can you JERKS please shut up and let the games be played and not ruin what we have been begging for the past 40 years?? The seeding doesn't need to be changed and the higher seeded teams with home field advantage proved they are the better teams SO WHAT??? Oregon drew an Ohio State team that just loss to Michigan but hear you are claiming that Oregon got a bad draw??? Oregon has already beat Ohio State and Penn State so why would Oregon be upset with drawing Ohio State???? For the love of God enjoy the process that we have been dying for all these years when we saw teams like Boise get left out of the process??? That being said,,,,I like Penn State vs Ohio state in the final and thank God for the playoff u bunch of whiny jerks and that's coming from an SEC Homer. Let's be honest though,,,South Carolina is the team that should have the biggest claim to being left out???
I get blowouts are not great for non fans of the team doing the blowout but it’s spectacular for the fans of that team. Smacking down Tennessee was awesome. I’m sure the “die hard” fans you are talking about college football is built around feel the same way. ND fans loved beating up on Indiana as well.
Using Cincinnati as an example of opportunity is wrong. They were the first warning of the problems we see right now, but magnified. There is NO WORLD where Cincinnati had a prayer against the big teams, its a waste of a game, and potentially getting these kids injured. This madness of pretending wins outside a select few teams mattering is killing this sport. maybe half the big 10 and about half the SEC and a few other select teams are so far above and beyond the majority of teams in NCAA football its absurd! Something like the english tiered leagues could work, because we all know not all teams are created equally, and need to be able to face teams of similar level.
You're spot on when it comes to expansion. I know its the unpopular opinion right now because people get warm fuzzy feelings from pretending everyone has a chance. Sucks whats happened to the regular season.
OSU isn’t beating Oregon! Many of us watched the first game. Oregon only grew stronger and more competitive. They will beat OSU hands down! The Tennessee win was only to save Ryan Day’s job. The Ducks raise the Natty!
The playoffs should be an extension of the regular season. This is why every D1 school in a conference should have a seat at the table. Games should be played at home stadiums of the higher ranked school until you reach the semifinals or finals. At most 16 schools, best would be 8 schools. No byes, seeding should be regional whether north vs south or east vs west that could change year to year, with no more than 2 schools from any conference using the championship game as a play in first round game. Champions advanced and a school that didn't make the game gets a shoot at the playoffs as an at large if the SOS is good enough. This can be done by using coefficients from conference strength to rank schools. SOS is based on non-conference W/L factoring in the coefficient based on strength of conference. Coefficients would be based on a decade average W/L of schools vs non-conference. Non-conference is D1 vs D1 games not playing cupcakes from lower divisions as your bounce is based on the W/L of the school you play in the previous year. A system similar to this is used in soccer to judge the best leagues in the world that only play each other in confederations championships.
Oregon takes the best shot from Ohio State, Penn State, and Boise State. Wins all 3 and goes undefeated. People are making a mistake by betting for 2 loss Ohio State(should be 3 with Nebraska they’re lucky to be in the playoffs). Oregon loves to be doubted, loves to be an underdog. The media is creating a situation by crowning Ohio State champs, and handing Lanning locker room material, where Oregon might be playing for more than to advance… but to make a statement. I was going to call this game close but now I’m going bold and saying Oregon is going to play pissed off.
Everyone likes being an underdog. The problem for Oregon is that they aren’t capable of playing at the level OSU played Saturday night. If OSU is clicking like that there’s nothing that Oregon can do.
@@generalchromeOregon is more than capable of playing at the level OSU did saturday. You buckeye fans are on cloud 9 for beating an avg Vol team when you couldn't even beat your rival, in their down year, AT HOME.
I agree, if OSU plays like that all the time, they won't lose. If they play in space and on the outside , their receivers are too good. I just think Georgia will win it all. Even with backup QB.
@@generalchrome😂 Tennessee ain't shit. They're like Indiana. That's like saying if Oregon plays like they did against Washington, Ohio State doesn't have a chance. 😂😂😂
Yes we needed to expand it. There is over 140 teams, inviting 4 is the dumbest shit ever. More teams need to be considered. At least 12 will weed out teams and the final 4 standing will actually be legit instead of just inviting them based off brand. People are forgetting 7/10 championship games were blowouts. It’s gonna happen
Blowouts are indicative of a far superior team, it’s indicative of one team having everything go their way and the other have everything go the other way. SmU should’ve been up 14-0 but instead their qb misses easy plays and they are down 28-0. What this weekend showed was how important home field is !
Couldn’t disagree more. In the future we will learn that putting in teams like SMU, Boise etc is not a good idea and it will be 12 teams that actually compete. Clemson put up a good fight and home playoff games are insnae
LISTEN, yall are goo gooing over Ohio States win over Tennessee...Tennessee didn't even have their star running back and missing a star receiver! They were one dimensional as hell against OSU! Come on now...Oregon is a different animal..

Like you. jD but your record in college is not what you are. Strength of schedule has to matter. We need the best 12 teams. I don’t think the best 4 teams will change but we want the best 12 teams.
OSU and the Ducks both have a history of choking. It might be the ugliest game this weekend. Hopefully not, but don't be shocked if it is. Both coaches have to be sweating bullets.
If this year was a 4 team playoff it would be an absolute mess. Oregon gets in but how do you decide 2-4? Does Georgia get in with 2 losses and an SECC? What about Ohio state? 2 losses without playing in conference title? Penn state? Ehhh. Or does Indiana get in bc they only lost 1 game… to Ohio state? ND even though they lost to NIU? I have no idea how you would even pick the 2-4 teams.
That's probably the best argument against the guys whining. I don't know how this guy doesn't see how the playoffs is so much better than what we had. And we finally get to see Boise State in a big game that MATTERS. IM so tired of all these commentators complaining about the seeding yet they all think that Oregon, the supposed best team, got a raw deal??? Ohio State just loss and isn't nearly as hot a team as say Arizona State. If we picked 4 teams this year,,,I guess it would be Texas, Georgia, Oregon, Penn State???
The BCS had blowouts. I'm fine with the first round allowing the also-rans to get their shot. That way we don't get the UCF nonsense again. Home field playoff games are fun and the environments were all hopping. Also the BCS and 4 team playoff era was absolute trash for the bowls with the ACE Hardware (Who cares?) Bowl having some kind of parity with real bowls like the Rose and Sugar. Now the traditional bowls are 2nd and 3rd round playoff games that matter, and I like it that way.
But you think Boise state or Arizona state ranked in the top 4 are going to be in the championship game?? Those 2 teams will lose and it will be osu vs notre dame or Georgia if they are lucky

@@11481 I would say your argument is exactly the opposite. You have 4 and 5 star players transferring to schools they never would’ve before because NIL$ and opportunity without having to sit out.
There's not a chance in the world that Georgia scores 31 on this defense with a backup qb lol.
With Rylie Mills out it could happen, especially if Leonard throws a couple picks. Hopefully it doesn’t but Notre Dame just has too many injuries at this point. Gonna be tough to win for them.
@samclark3370 they're not going to be able to throw much. If they exclusively run for points, they're not reaching 30.
I think with Stockton, Georgia offense can be more pedestrian. Shoot, Stockton almost gave the game away in the SECCG. With time to prepare, Georgia could be in trouble.
Always love the content man thank you JD
March madness is the best sport event of the year. Making college football more like basketball is good for fans.
This should be a 16 team field, no byes. I think that is the ticket
A system similar to this is used in soccer to judge the best leagues in the world that only play each other in confederations championships.
yo do yall sell "progrum" merch? i need it!
12 teams less opt out now too many opt outs for bowl games
Ohio state is winning this game. Have a good one✌🏻
Is that a Georgia southern helmet?
Finally someone not mentally slow, this time Oregon won’t let it be as close
I understand wanting to make money on UA-cam. But come on the number of commercials on this video is ridiculous.
But I watch you while I work lol !!!
Blowouts are indicative of a far superior team, it’s indicative of one team having everything go their way and the other have everything go the other way. SmU should’ve been up 14-0 but instead their qb misses easy plays and they are down 28-0. What this weekend showed was how important home field is !
You need 12 to make sure that you get the right 8.
Plus, you need 12 because you need teams for the 8 best teams to play.
I do think it is better. U have more parity. I don't want to go back to one conference dominating recruiting and the national championship
Keely Ringo came from Arizona too. Won 🏆🏆 Go Dawgs!
This ain’t your daddy’s Notre dame
Go Irish! ☘️
Boise has a shot. If smu had a qb that made better decisions, smu coulr have kept it alot closer. Penn state O wasnt moving the ball. That good
Couldn’t disagree more. In the future we will learn that putting in teams like SMU, Boise etc is not a good idea and it will be 12 teams that actually compete. Clemson put up a good fight and home playoff games are insnae
You know what is stupid? Calling what other people like stupid, especially when you get paid because those people watch your product.
More teams only means more games, which means more money.
i think a 8 team playoff would be much better
GO DUCKS 🦆🦆🦆🦆
Beat the Buckeyes

Georgia vs. TCU in the championship game 65-7, but you're worried about teams getting blown out in the first round?
TCU 51 Michigan 45
Georgia 42 Ohio State 41
And then the year after:
Washington 37 Texas 31
Michigan 27 Alabama 24
LISTEN, yall are goo gooing over Ohio States win over Tennessee...Tennessee didn't even have their star running back and missing a star receiver! They were one dimensional as hell against OSU! Come on now...Oregon is a different animal..
I say we do what the FCS does. I don't care about blowouts. I want more playoff football.
December should be madness. Move the start of the season up one week, move the Army/Navy game to be the kickoff classic in Week 0, and eliminate Conference Championship games.

Why don’t you have PSU vs BSU listed?
No need to list. Boise is going to win by 3 TDs
If a low seed goes on a run makes the expansion worth it! Prove it on the field.
Like you. jD but your record in college is not what you are.
Georgia's defense is not better than NDs. They'll get killed with that gameplan. Did you nit see how the top 2 SEC just git shredded?
Buckeyes winning it all 🌰🌰
It should’ve never been 12 teams. 6 would’ve been ideal, 8 absolute max but it comes down to money so they went with 12 and it’ll expand even more.
Kinda a mute point IMO,
Can’t put toothpaste back into the tube
Hookem 🤘🏿
Horns down. To the slaughter house with ya. After asu obviously.
This guy is the biggest college football playoff hater lol
Go Georgia Bulldogs 🏈🏈🏈
Shhhhhh don’t say that Penn st will do well you can never trust them
Almost 9 minutes in, and wondering if we’ll get to some predictions…
I simply fast forward through the intro 😂
It also helps when they include sub-information, which they seldom do.
One game at a time. Hook'em!
Shhhtar warsh lmao u go brother
8 teams would be more realistic
The BCS had blowouts. I'm fine with the first round allowing the also-rans to get their shot. That way we don't get the UCF nonsense again. Home field playoff games are fun and the environments were all hopping. Also the BCS and 4 team playoff era was absolute trash for the bowls with the ACE Hardware (Who cares?) Bowl having some kind of parity with real bowls like the Rose and Sugar. Now the traditional bowls are 2nd and 3rd round playoff games that matter, and I like it that way.
180 for jeanty lollll ill come back after the game to say i told u so hes not going ovet 75
Is Ohio St the best team?
They would not be in a 6 team tournament.
ND...................48
georgia.............9
But you think Boise state or Arizona state ranked in the top 4 are going to be in the championship game?? Those 2 teams will lose and it will be osu vs notre dame or Georgia if they are lucky
Hone field advantage is probably more advantageous than having the first round bye,,,and that is how it should be.
It did make a lot more games mean something last 4 weeks
Shpuld just play half games and do some round Robin..... heck why are we even keeping 6-6 teams out at this point. Its the excitement we are looking for right. We should just go full nfl and have thr refs control the out
Why u being this cynical on Christmas Eve
12 teams is too many is just saying you want to watch less football
Need 24 teams
It just feels like Kenny Dillingham’s year
I agree… He might have hella HUGE offers coming in after they get raced by Texas
@@Captain_- Kenny wouldn’t even take an offer from Alabama if they offered it, if you haven’t seen any AsU games this year
But man the level of cockiness from Texas fans is crazy. You’d think they had won at least 1 of the games versus Georgia for them to be that confident
@@braydenschmidtke171 Im all big12, watched plently of coach of the year Dillingham, im unbiased in that “after they get raced by Texas” applies to all Big12 schools this year… Including my Colorado
They said it about Deion for the past 2 years,
they said it subtly about AZs coach last year before he went to Washington…
I’m not saying what i know, to be trueful, I’m saying that hard truth that I hate but genuinely believe at this stage in CFB,
the coaches, the money, and the power will continue to migrate away from us smaller schools.
It sucks
It allows for more sports betting 😂
