- 3/16” Drill Bit
- Bit Holder Extension
- Driver Bit
- 1 ¼" Stainless or Zinc Plated Truss Head Screws
- Hole Saw
- 2 ½” Construction Screws
- Lumber

So the 2x6 I cut at 69" 3/8. Worked find. I had a big issue getting the wall on one side to connect to the back wall. The problem was the back 2x4 on an existing wall was set back by about 1/4" so the back wall would flex backwards and not lock in. once I figure that out all was well.
When you are measuring the height of the blocking are you measuring from the top or bottom of the sill plate?
5:15 shower mixing valve not soldered in yet and shark bite for the showerhead pipe? idk but that's asking for trouble.
In the instructions it says "It is recommended to install insulation." What kind?
What about sound insulation ?

I'm having trouble finding the right door for the delta 500 32x23 has 27in opening for door iv order 3 different doors and still don't have right door the bottom of the pan has the radius and you can't put a flat rail on it
my side panel is off by 1" and doesn't fit into the base- can i cut the bottom out to make it fit?

My understanding is none.
Why not list make thickness and width of the foam tape Who makes it would also help a lot. Thank you.

It comes with the shower walls
It's 5/8" wide by 1/4" thick

How long should the 2x6 door nailer boards be. You didn't say it in the video.

@@deltafaucet yes I figured out the size of screws can you tell me the size of the door nailers for the 48x34 500 series. I know it is a 2x6 boad need to know length to cut them
What was the length ? To the top of the surround wall?
All he noted was how far off the bottom (5/8"), but no mention of how long (or how high it should go)... :(

What is the purpose of the foam tape? Our plumber didn't use it.
I believe it's to prevent water from migrating up over the lip, I also used silicone

@@sanchezvh It still squeaks you have to tweak it yourself ,I did it and it should be done during the manufacturing process and come treated properly .
How do you find the foam tape I can't find it
The foam tape comes with the wall kit. At least ours did

SO YOU DON'T ADD ANY GLUE TO SIDE PANELS
These walls leak ,I install elevators for a living and have been for over 32 years I'm used to snapping walls together in a much more complicated fashion ...This is a very nice surround kit but the walls leak underneath where they sit over the base/pan flange even when they're secured all the way down...The entire kit is squeaky too you have to deal with it unless you know how to stop it I fixed them myself ....I will say that the base /pan is the best one that I've ever installed and I have built dozens of custom showers .The base/pan engineering is awesome ,it's solid and does not squeak like the walls ...I know exactly what manufacturing process would fix the problem and make this the best selling product on the market ,it has to be tweaked and redesigned I could do it easily...All in all it's a really good concept and decent product that needs a final manufacturing tweak....
Bob….can you list the mods? We are in the process of installing two of these assemblies.. bases are set and wall panels are dry fitted… Thamks
