you have to cobb something together if you install a door, even a curtain seems like it wouldn't work well- if you haven't already - dont install it!!! I'm trying to figure out how to prevent the front from leaking and when I called Delta they said they have no resolve for this issue
I installed the classic 500 base and now the shower glass door people say they cant install a shower door :/ Let people know that this is for a no shower door install dumbies.......
Not sure I agree with that. Maybe try another door installer? Check out the next video in the series about installing the walls which includes installing the door framing.
I believe this base is poorly designed. The perimeter of the base is flat. Water seeks its level, so it ultimately migrates around out the perimeter and out onto the floor via the center front where there is no lip. The perimeter should be pitched back toward the center of the unit. I would not recommend this product.
DO NOT BUY OR INSTALL THIS BASE, POORLY DESIGNED- cant be installed with a door and it funnels water to the middle where there is no ledge so that the water pours out on to your floor- there is another video that outlines you have to glue and modify in front entry in order to try to keep water inside the base
Directions say the “drain pipe should extend maximum 1 3/4” maximum above the subfloor.” Is this correct??
What construction adhesive do I need? What brand and type is recommended?
After the install is done can you install a shower door. Or is this pan for curtains only.

Do you have a video installed shower on cable concrete???
The bottom only has a 5 inch diameter hole in base and standard shower drain receptacle are 6 inch diameter?!?!
What do you do if studs are not plumb?
Get a professional
Get a level and plumb it

I agree. No backing on the base makes it useless...
just slide it in place....uh huh....right....that is what usually happens heh.

Yes we just had a contractor install this as part of a remodel, and am seeing this problem - ugh!! Have you found a solution?
