Ramon, that door lock module was really snuggled down in there. I'm sure that this video will help a lot of folks out there since you mentioned there wasn't anything out there. Nice work and have a great weekend!
Thank you! My front passenger door is making the same sound when I lock it 😬. . It still locks but it sounds horrible. I'm gonna try and order that part and replace b4 it stops working completely. 👍🏼
If you have this problem open the actuator. There is a small motor inside of it. Pry the motor up and out, the gear that is attached to it can be easily removed flipped over and put it all back together. The small gear gets worn out over time on one end only so flipping it over is just like adding a new gear and it will work like new again
I was going to ask you if you hit your head when you said you bought a Dorman. All your diagnostics & repair down the drain installing a Dorman...I won't install anything electrical from Dorman I'd rather lose the job b/c the probability of having a comeback is pretty high.
Hayward's Automotive I'm kicking myself for installing a dorman actuator in the driver front door..3 months after I installed it I get a call from the customer that none of there door locks work but they could hear a relay on the passenger side floor.. Turned out that a bad driver door actuator on a Lincoln navigator could cause all the doors to not lock or unlock.
Working on doors is always a challenge. At least this one is nice and big inside! Thanks!
This one is not that hard but get camera in right spot is always challenge. Cheers my friend.
