I went to bed with two legs but woke up with only one leg but the amputation allowed me to go on living, i had to say yes, what's the use of keeping two legs if I die later...

That whole thing about the fire at the end reminds of just how much things have changed.
When I was growing up about 50 years ago, there was a hospital around 2 miles away from where we lived.
At a certain time of the day, black smoke would billow out of this big chimney there. One day, when we were driving by, I asked my father about the smoke. He told me that it was the incinerator where they burned all of the body parts they had removed from all the operations performed that day.
The hospital is still there, owned by a big corporation now. But of course you no longer see the smoke.

I would have plasticized the limb and turned it into my prosthetic.

They had to.
It was an emergency, and he would have died otherwise. You generally don't need to get the consent of a patient who is unconscious and hasn't stated a preference one way or the other to perform medical treatment in such a circumstance to save their life.

They shouldn't of took it,just let him die in peace,now he has to see that forever,of course hes gonna scream,you go to bed with 2 legs and wake up with 1and a 1/2,I know someone who removal,and it has changed them mentally,sometimes you gotta not be selfish and let em go.dont make em suffer.

Nah. This isn't a disease that will slowly kill him and negatively affect his quality of life so greatly. His quality of life will still be lowered, but not enough to justify letting him "die in peace". Unless he specifically said he wanted to die instead of receiving an amputation, the doctors had to save him legally. Also, he definitely prefers being alive now to losing a leg. His words of anger were just said because of course he was in shock about losing a leg all of a sudden.
"just let him die in peace"...There's no way you're that "smart".
