CRASHES, ANGER AND PAYBACK AS BRANDON WARD WINS FIRST MODIFIED TITLE AT BOWMAN GRAY STADIUM 8-19-23

- The final Modified Race of the 2023 season at Bowman Gray Stadium came down to a battle of survival between Brandon Ward and Tim Brown as everyone else in the field treated the race like their own personal demolition derby.
Ward held on to win the title over Brown, and was ahead of Brown on the track when Brown's move to get a little closer to Ward came at the expense of sending Junior Snow for a spin but under the ensuing caution, Snow got the last laugh, driving headlong into the rear wheel of Brown's car, rendering it unable to continue, ending Brown's bid for the championship.
Ward's closest call with calamity came when Lee Jeffreys got loose off of turn 2 and Ward and Jeffreys made contact and Jeffreys hit the wall. Jeffreys came around and bumped the Ward machine to express some displeasure.
Among the other cautions in this race included Dan Speeney jumping the backstretch wall, Chris Fleming sitting on top of Dan Speeney's 10 car during a front stretch pile up, Dan Speeney hittling James Civali knocking his own radiator off and several other spins and wall slaps.
Oh yeah, Burt Myers won the race, leading most of the laps after starting 2nd to Lee Jeffreys. - Ігри
I have come across this track searching UA-cam for small tracks. I can't believe there is racing on this short, flat, narrow track with cars of this speed and quality. The end result is either pushing 'em out of the way or, follow-the-leader racing. Neither is acceptable in actual racing.

The 6 car reminds me a lot of the Eddie Partridge 6 car that Ryan Preece drove. RIP Eddie

In slowmo the 83 didn't touch the 79. It was the 37 that nudged him from the back that got him loose.

Modifieds are gonna have 3 different winners. Its either gonna be the myers or tim brown. If someone else wins, it’s extremely rare. Ive stopped going just because you can almost predict who will win within the first half of the race

11:56 did Tim Brown make contact with the yellow and black 79 car to make him spin out? I couldn't tell if contact was made or not.

Just set up a demolition derby for these clowns, this isn't real racing. Acting like they don't spend thousands on those cars. I grew up in dirt racing, very rare to see this happen in a year let alone 7 times in one race on asphalt🤣waste of money

I've never seen people tear modifieds up like this before, especially when they retaliate smashing into each other. If this was a real nascar track, they would be ban from every nascar track in the country. That's an expensive way to spend money.
I have seen Kyle Busch do WAY WORSE Many times and never got banned from anywhere or anything
