I find it funny how many people are on here to give advice! It’s not his first rodeo. He wears many layers. Some humans are dramatically more adapted to cold conditions through exposure to such conditions. He focuses on conservation of energy. He is well provisioned. He is well equipped for the challenge he has set for himself.
Worry is natural for people who are concerned. It's no different from saying someone driving a motorcycle fast without a helmet and wondering why they aren't wearing a helmet. It's always assumed that that person may be a professional but it only takes one mistake to kill you no matter how confident You Think You Are
I had to survive in a similar environment ages ago for three weeks with only a knife, no matches or lighter, no food, etc. I built a solid shelter over time, once I got fire I never let it go out and built comfortable warm bedding from grass. Eventually my shelter was mostly stone, when it warmed from the constant fire it was nice. Hunting for a reliable food source was the most difficult. I couldn’t catch fish so I relied on small mammals. It’s an art form to survive environments like these long term. Positive mindset and constantly staying busy without overly exhausting yourself is the way to survive.
Beautiful video with beautiful scenery and the water lapping against the shore. The biggest challenges I face is leaving my bedroom window open a couple inches at night in the winter. I like the fresh, cold air and don’t like to be too hot in bed. The building I live in must be well insulated because all the years I ‘ve lived here I’ve rarely used the heat. With in a couple years I will be moving to another apartment that is close to the shore and hopefully I’m close enough to hear it at night and smell the sea as well. I love to be near the water.
Whenever you go for winter camp - you must have yourself well-equipped ! Don’t take things for granted - you may be freezed to death with your minimum gear !! Despite of all, I still enjoy your videos - hopefully you must and will be well geared in your next videos Winter snow camping is funny but also a No Joke adventure !!! Take care and God Bless
Good vid. Sure is much colder by the water. Need a few pine boughs to keep the snow directly off. Wool is critical. Important to do exercise before laying down at5 night. Get the body heat up. Enjoyed the camp. A cool damp one. Nothing compared to what's coming. Time for a dip. All good from east Kentucky USA. Good job on the narration.
Hello i enjoyed your video. As im watching i pick up on things i might need in the future. I am gently moving to the south east of Sweden. Greetings from the Netherlands,,, Kitty.
@@billt6116 I meant in the video...that stone thing works and that's the first thing anyone should do in such scenarios...his situation looks too good to be true...He already has all the necessary items except for the shade though.
You need to show everyone what you are wearing underneath. Only way you can spend that night there is by wearing heat preserving cloths underneath You can survive there in regular winter clothes
No ketchup!? Have some meat with that salt! Yikes, a doctor would be screaming at your huge consumption of salt! Sorry, just thought I’d join the crowd this time:) 😘 Brrrrr. Better you than me. I have a sheepskin like yours. Use it on my car seat. Nice.🥰
Looks really good. The only thing I would recommend is, you should’ve taken some of the racks and built a heat reflector for the fire so somebody he could’ve bounced back unless he escaped.
What a rude thing to say. It's his video, if he wants to narrate, he can do as he please. Go watch a video where he is not narrating if that's what you want, but telling him "Oh please don't talk!" because you like his silent form of video is a selfish and disrespectful thing to say.

Well no offense but there are some very rookie mistakes that could cost a life so. You would never know

Building a rock wall behind the fire would help reflect heat into the shelter.
Very nice video. Thank you for sharing this little moments of peace with nature with us.
Very glad you have put a bit of narration in the video.

i love these videos.
Instead of narrating you can type it in the captions i guess that would go great 👍 great stuff 🔥

It's good to see Vikings are alive and well despite all this civilization and chaos surrounding us
Love from india 🇮🇳
True viking! 👑👏
Wow, amazing, loved the video, when you went into the water for a swim I thought damn! no way, fantastic video thanks
Yayyyyyyy!
1 emergency blanket can make your shitty shelter 1000% warmer, it’s easy and fits in your pocket. Please don’t die out there.
Toi uintireissu reissu oli kova!
Perfect Den 🦁
I always wonder what the temperature arround you, or in the shelter is. Great content!
Great 😊😊
Juneau Alaska here 👋 👋 👋
Dude can handle the cold.
Just know your channel and subscribed right away!
Good video
Should always cover yourself up with some reeds for additional warmth and protection from the night
Makes me appreciate my warm bed. Lol
Helllooo im watching this
Creating 'crisis' to challenge yourself. Or enjoy more like with eating the meat. Outstanding👍👍👍
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr !!
Can I ask why you never use the green boughs from the trees for walls, roof or for sleeping on?
بسیار عالی و زیبا❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hail fellow Hyperborian ✋️
Hey mate what would you rather watch a tree grow or a knee grow?😊😊
You should have heated few stones and put em under your Bed that's how you'd spend cold nights easily
Bro looking like he dropped in from Paris fashion week while simultaneously living in a shelter and eating smoked beef.
Gotta be both
keren bro, mantap
How does the heat reach you from the fire?
On those cold night, You can sleep a lot warmer by heating 8 or 10 stones in the fire, Then burying them under your bed. They release heat all night!
i somehow find this fake
@manashsarkar4659 no, It really works!.. You put 6 or 8 inches of sand over them, And you're good. I've done this before! 🤭

Good
What kind of axe and hatchet do you use? Are they Scandinavian? Thank you, Thomas.
Hi. Would you consider living this life as a permanent way of living?
فلسطين 🇵🇸
What is your safety plan when you do this, life if the weather gets too bad and you are truly in risk?
what knife is it? it's cool
Loving the first ten minutes of this- but how is that beef not frozen?
Equipment check before you head out might include sleeping bag
Nice one shame you did not get the chance of fishing
Do you want some beef with that salt?
It’s about water retention. Obviously not from Northern Europe
화목난로 왜 항상 사용을 안해요?
Why didn’t you use your kayak for shelter?
Why build your shelter right by the sea so windy
Better visuals for the video
He also mentioned it's more challenging in the elements by the water and for the views

Under my wool I wear another thin layer of wool. I was freezing still during the night. During the day if I keep moving its pretty warm though.
It’s colder surrounded by rocks better to be on the earth and sounded by trees bit of a daft challenge
What is that on the spit? Pot Roast ?
How much hours of light these days?
Do you worry that an amber from the fire could get into your bedding and you could get cooked?
SPOILER: He does have a sleeping bag
🌺
What country is this?… never mind.. obviously Finland as no other would go swimming in winter in a freezing lake 😂
if i had made a fire like that that close to a straw shelter like that it would had caught on fire.

So mich better without talking (dont mean no harm) i said that very respectfully. I love yours video

Aren't those reeds wet?
tides mustn't move much where you are. I'd never try this
