You can't have a doom wad built on the third level it must be on e1m1 same with doom 2 map01 . So it's either running from evil or at doom's gate (unless it's a wad with many levels)

By 1993 we already had established a good sense of what current heavy and extreme metal would sound like even up to this and these guys managed to do it on MS-DOS, perfectly.
Thing is, my first experience with Doom was on the Sega 32x. This song on the 32x may of been lower quality, but it was a lot more unnerving. Because the drum beats were replaced with what I can only describe as something skittering around with multiple legs, and as an 8 year old, that terrified me. Sometimes you don't need quality to get the point across.
