    Hey there, it's me again, from the Zealsound K66 review. I was wondering if this one or the Zealsound was better, in your opinion. Thanks a lot!

    • @dannylightning-audio-reviews
      @dannylightning-audio-reviews  3 місяці тому +1

      Welllll,,, This one definitely looks a little cooler, either one should be a pretty nice upgrade compared to a laptop or a webcam is built in microphone or something along the lines of that. Now when it comes to the sound quality between those two microphones I think it's really going to blow down to personal preference, This one did have a little bit of an issue when I got a little louder sometimes it would distort which I've never seen a microphone do before but I did bring that to their attention so I don't know if they have looked into that or not but they're both inexpensive and if you like the way either one sounds could be a good choice if you're on a tight budget. But if you're looking for something in the 20 to $30 price range and that's all you have to spend think it's going to come down to personal preference between these two microphones I mean they both work they're both going to sound better than not having a real microphone so I would watch a lot of reviews on both and see which one sounds the best for most people cuz everybody has a different voice and room acoustics. Once you get into like 50 to $70 price range you can get some XLR or USB microphones that start the sound close to pro quality audio, and for around $99 you can get a microphone that will give you profit quality audio but you'll have to buy a audio interface and a XLR cable pro quality setup. If you're just planning on chatting with your friends I think either one of these microphones here would be good but if you're trying to make UA-cam videos or something I would probably step it up to at least something like the maono pd200x which I think you can usually get for around 60 bucks and that's USB or XLR and make you sound quite nice if you put it up on a boom arm and get to about 3 or 4 in in front of your mouth. But if you're definitely looking for something in the 20 to $30 price range I'm not sure which one of these is going to fit your needs better but they're both an improvement over not having a real microphone at all

      That's a little hard for me to answer I mean they're both good starter mics if you're on a really tight budget, I think if I were able to get the zeal sound up on it boom arm I probably would have preferred that one, The other my microphone looks a lot cooler but I didn't like how it distorted if I talked a little loud, that may or may not be something that they fixed by now but they did say they were going to talk to their engineers about that so maybe it's not like that anymore I'm not sure but it's kind of a hard choice they each had a few things I did like they each had a few things I didn't like but I guess I wouldn't just comes to the overall sound quality I kind of liked the zeal sound better on my voice,, they both had a different type of sound

    For the money seems nice, just have to find the spot for loud responses... only issue I see is not being able to dim the light.

    • @dannylightning-audio-reviews
      @dannylightning-audio-reviews  11 місяців тому +1

      You can dim or brighten the light by turning the little knob on the bottom or if the tap the thing that changes the colors and actually hold it down it will turn the light off completely, but yes it does struggle with louder noises, they say it has a noise suppression feature built-in which I forgot to mention but I kind of think that might be doing to it but most microphones if you're watching your loudness meter you can see the little meter go way up but this one doesn't you'll see the meter go up just a teeny bit and then it kind of stops almost like there was a limiter on it or something which I've never really seen before so I don't know if that's hitting the loudness threshold I have the microphone or what but that is the one thing that might turn some people off, it looks nice the audio quality is decent and it's cheap so it's kind of a shame it can't handle the louder sounds, I like everything else about the microphone that's the only issue I see with it I mean for 30 bucks the overall sound quality is pretty decent

    can you connect head phones to it

    • @dannylightning-audio-reviews
      @dannylightning-audio-reviews  18 днів тому

      If it does have a headphone jack and most of these little microphones do, I probably would have talked about it during the video, I'm not sure where I put this, I have a few dresser drawers and storage boxes full stuff, and I'm not really sure which one I put this in, I look through some of them and didn't see it, I can't remember but I think it did, if you watch the video to the end there's a pretty good chance I would have mentioned something about the headphone jack if it has a headphone jack but unfortunately I'm not sure what I did with it at the moment and I don't have the greatest memory

    • @dannylightning-audio-reviews

      Unfortunately you can buy a $3,000 microphone and occasionally you do get a lemon, I would probably contact the company and see if it's still under warranty or maybe contact the place you purchase it from and see if they're willing to help you out,, I would assume when buying a less expensive microphone quality control probably isn't on par with the bigger name brands but unfortunately even on a bigger name brands you can have problems, but if it's not working on your computer or your PlayStation, if it was working on both and now it's not working on either that does sound like something may have gone wrong, first thing I would do is try a different USB cable just to make sure it's not a problem with the cable and do a few things like that for troubleshooting

    why does mine sound bad

    • @dannylightning-audio-reviews
      @dannylightning-audio-reviews  3 місяці тому +2

      This is hard to really give you an answer because you could be recording in a room that has a lot of reverb, you could be recording and a noisy room, you may have the mic too far away or positioned incorrectly or you might be using bad microphone technique I mean there's a lot of variables that go into these things, it's possible that it could be your room acoustics. Or there's always the possibility that you happen to get a bad one, if it sounds really really bad and you're sure you're using it properly maybe exchange it for a new one. Without being there or really being able to hear it it's kind of not enough information to know what you have going on there. Maybe even try a different USB cable to see if it's a cable but there could be a lot of different things going on

    How do you take off the pop filter

    • @dannylightning-audio-reviews
      @dannylightning-audio-reviews  3 місяці тому

      You're just kind of grab it and pull up and wiggle it a little bit and it should pop right out of there, Don't like Forest it but just put a little pressure and wiggle it back and forth and it just kind of snaps in and out, That's how mine works at least

      @dannylightning-audio-reviews  5 місяців тому

      All you need to do is Grab the pop filter, preferable at the bottom and pull upwards, it should just pop right off, it just kind of snaps in and out. it won't take much force to remove it so you shouldn't need to yank too hard.

    Can I use it on Xbox

    • @dannylightning-audio-reviews
      @dannylightning-audio-reviews  8 місяців тому +1

      I'm not really sure which Xbox you have or if your current model of Xbox except USB microphones I know there were ways to hook these up to order Xboxes but I think you needed some sort of splitter and a few other things so you can probably find some tutorials online on how to hook a USB microphone up to your Xbox and see what you need for whichever Xbox model you currently have,. I mainly work with recording equipment or PCS, I think the last game and console I owned was a PlayStation 2 so I'm not super familiar with how the newer gaming consoles are set up but I would look for a tutorial on how to hook a USB mic to your Xbox.

      @Danny-Lightning--Audio-Tech that's the biggest disappointment with the Microsoft consoles : the USB ports are not built for the audio transfer (only for data and power).
      Tonor mentioned that it is not supported with Xbox on their website :)
      Thanks for the review, anyway. I'm currently looking for a mic for hosting online TTRPG games. And hesitate with several models from Tonor. Ur video was helpful:)

      My understanding is Xbox doesn't let you hook up a microphone with a USB, somebody actually explain that to me the other day, I don't know anything about these gaming consoles but I'm not really sure what kind of microphone you need for an Xbox, I would probably get on Amazon or something like that and search for Xbox microphone and see what pops up if it's light up for an Xbox it should work on there but it doesn't sound like they let you use normal microphones on those gaming consoles these days but unfortunately I'm not really familiar with that
