The more times a person doesn't read from his bible or pray often, the further away from God you become and those intrusive thoughts get stronger. Fervent prayer AND regular fasting AND daily reading of the scriptures not only enriches our souls but keeps us close to God and quietens those intrusive thoughts sent by the dark principalities. This is not a coincidence I just found you. I am 62 years old lived with anxiety all these time while I am a believer and served the LORD. This past week all these have been brought forward. I have been to the Emergency room multiple time to find out my heart was find. It has been the anxiety eatig me alive. I realized the ennemy has been playing with my mind and soul. I lived with depression for years. Sleepless nights. I cried to the LORDE a few weeks ago my deliverance began. Its not easy I am taken 1 day at a time. Thank You

Remember that anxiety is a sign to you that you are not fully trusting God to handle whatever it is you are anxious about. Lay it at his feet and trust him. Fear and anxiety do not come from God.

I always get intrusive thoughts.. especially in the middle of the night…. As soon as I realize I’m having them I say Jesus Christ over and over and I get peace. And once I pray they go away. God is Good Jesus Christ is Lord

I hear the way you speak, and it sounds like I’m talking to a friend. Someone who understands street talk because they had a rambunctious past life and they eventually gave their life to God and have been washed clean and made pure (psalm 51:7), and now can share their testimonies and wisdom they have learned from their past and from hearing Gods voice. Yes please! I needed this. Ive struggled with PTSD and mental illness and am constantly trying to reject these thoughts that are not Christ like. I tend to isolate and go on bouts where I'm not showing up to service. I sometimes feel like a flickering flame. I love my church fam I just feel a million miles away sometimes. I know feelings are not fact and that my identity is in the Lord. Videos like this shine a light on the things that aren't often mentioned in church.
Thank you brother, you don't know how much this blessed me as a 43 year old man. Former successful (in the eyes of the world) rap artist/ Alcoholic, weedhead and destructive psychedelic drug abuser before coming to know Christ in 2016.

I definitely struggle with intrusive thoughts. There have been times in my life when what I was thinking turned out to be true so what I would do is take matters into my own hands instead of turning it over to God to handle it. My way made the situation a million times worse. My thoughts became all consuming and darker and darker when dealing with them on my own. The negativity never stops if you don’t hand it over. You go from negative thoughts to negative actions. God’s thoughts and ways are definitely different than ours. We have to line ourselves up with him. You are a blessing and I pray that God will continue to use you and that He will bless you and protect you.

I'm a 21 year old and i struggle with my own thoughts and emotions as I've been a victim of bullying. This video made so much sense to me and gave me comfort and peace beyond my expectations. I shared this to one of my friends whose in the same headspace as me and basically just shared it to facebook, publicly. I know God will touch those hearts who are willing to seek Him truly and I know because I am one of those people.
My worries on when and how to read the bible has been tackled up on here too haha so im glad that's settled.
Overall, I just want to be better, truly. I want people to see God in me. I dont wanna push people but rather push myself towards learning more about God so that my actions and decisions would show/reflect that.
I will do my best, with God's grace and guidance, to choose to live the righteous life and be happy.

From your orthodox Christian brother, I know the Jesus prayer is also a powerful tool to cast out intrusive thoughts from the enemy.
"Lord Jesus Christ son of God, have mercy on me a sinner."
If we say this prayer in our head repeatedly, after a few times we forget which intrusive thought we were even thinking through the grace of God, and the enemy is overpowered.
Another great prayer is "Most Holy Theotokos, save us."
This is calling on our most Holy and pure Virgin Mary to intercede to Our Lord on our behalf. Again used with the same affect as the Jesus prayer. This prayer holds such significant weight as the Virgin Mary was the vessel that gave God the ability to be born and live as human Jesus Christ amongst us. So he is forever indebted to her for this and she has a higher place then even the seraphim and cherubim angels in heaven. So any prayers asked by our precious holy mother to Jesus on our behalf hold tremendous power.
Just like the story of the wedding in Cana, John chapter 2,
"And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.
So as this verse shows, Jesus performed the miracle of turning water to wine because of the love he has for his mother. In the same way praying to our most Holy Theotokos to intercede for us holds much weight for Our lord to listen. So let's prayer this prayer as another tool to defeat our intrusive thoughts.
Glory to God now and ever until the ages of ages, amen 🙏 May God continue to bless you Johnny and thank you for spreading the word of God and expanding the kingdom of heaven, Amen 🙏

I was recently baptized as a Christian that represented giving my life to Christ and being new just a few years ago. My childhood reminds me of yours so I feel deeply connected to you.
