One hour 60 minutes when we takeaway 45 minutes from 60 minutes we get 15 minutes where did you get 25 ? This complicated thank you

I assume you're talking about Q22. Rather than working in minutes I'm working in hours, this makes it easier when you need to multiply by the hourly rate. This means that we use 0.5 instead of 30 minutes (as it is half an hour) and we use 0.25 instead of 15 minutes (as 0.25 is the same as one quarter and 15 minutes is a quarter of an hour). You could keep everything in minutes but you would need to divide by 60 at some point which I think is messier than working with halves and quarters of hours.

Do you think answer no 1 is correct on BIMAS? Thanks

Yes. I assume you're asking because I've done subtraction before addition on the last step. This is where BIDMAS isn't very helpful. Addition doesn't come before subtraction, they have the same priority, and you just do whichever comes first, working from left to right.

That's what I've done, only I've written it as a fraction, i.e. 30 minutes = 0.5 of an hour, 15 minutes = 0.25 of an hour. If we write 5hrs 15min then it gets complicated when you try to multiply that by £9.10 per hour. Unless I'm not understanding your question properly.
