@thebombhole Event fatigue is so real, especially in SLC. Come to East Coast- Woodward Killington. The Uninvited Invitational would KILL it here, you would own the scene. Not to mention closer to major airports and easier travel requirements for our European friends. Think about it!

Snakes on a Plane is Samuel Jackson, not Denzel. Come on now, people.

I think the best way to "judge" street style is to just have a big crowd of qualified riders, meaning they all can proove that they know what they're looking at as far as tricks, can do them, etc. Then supply the crowd with ice cold beers and score the run based on crowd noise

Long time listener first time commenting.
Overall great episode, and I think women’s snowboarding seems to be in a great place, and I’m all for women’s empowerment and getting more eyeballs, sponsors and money towards them. However, hearing that somebody that deep in the industry claims to not know that Mikey won the natural selection or who we was, as well as not knowing who Valentino Guseli is just because she does not care due to the fact that they are men is worrisome. First of, I don’t believe her one bit, but also, shouldn’t we all within the industry first and foremost promote snowboarding as a whole, no matter the gender or ethnicity?
She should have been called out for those comments in my opinion.
Otherwise keep up the great work and everything you do for snowboarding!

    Genuine question.
Why is that the girls can say that they dont care about the mens snowboarding and go unchallenged but the other way around and you'd be blacklisted from the industry as a misogynist.

Silk explains it perfectly at 54:30. In short, men have been top dog forever and women have always been shit on in the industry. Women are over it, and putting all their time and energy to bring up women in the sport. There's enough energy put into men's snowboarding, not enough in women's.

Genuine answer IMO: Not caring because they’re women snowboarding and not caring because you don’t care about anything else except men’s snowboarding are two different things. The women say they don’t care about men’s snowboarding because they are not interested in it, but they aren’t anti men’s snowboarding. You can be more interested in men’s snowboarding, but being anti women in snowboarding is what has led to less pay, less videos, etc imo

Well, there's something like 50 years of history of guys saying they don't care about women's snowboarding and no one getting blacklisted, so this seems like a fear without any precedent.

Because women have been oppressed since literally the beginning of time/civilization and men immediately feel threatened, butthurt and then get defensive when it’s finally switched up on them
