Talk about balls to the wall 🤣 ripping up a two stocker through cinder block. While wearing thongs and a classic paisley bandana as rispatory protection, I don't think you'll even see that shit in Vietnam 😆 Love your work man 🤜🤛
Not that you can't but you shouldn't, it should have a lintel at the top of the opening to take the weight that the block used to support. I'm not an expert but I know you can't just go cutt8ng holes in your wall anywhere you want without compensating for the load they bare.
i completely agree. if i had it to do over again id use one in a heat beat. that dust is so fine it literally gets everywhere. But thanks for your comment. it always makes my day when someone shows that they care. thanks for watching bud
My god man, you spend 70 on the mega pack of screws, yet you won’t spend the 5 bucks to get a proper dust mask! Just one rusty nail away from lock jaw haha! I’m getting ready ready to do this, I’m buying the dust mask, and gonna throw some water on it too!
@@longbowbanjoAL how many days afterwards were you coughing all that silica dust up for? Anyone who works with concrete or block for a living knows how brutal that dust is on your lungs.. did you ever block around where that roof truss was in the center of the doorway? I’d have suggested grabbing some 2x8 and cut your door opening 3” wider on the sides, then get some tapcons or some concrete anchor and frame out that opening.. I know you guys don’t get snow in Alabama, thus don’t have to worry about snow loads, but id do something to help reinforce that area.. maybe get some angle iron, get yourself a grinder and good steel drill bit, and then cut a notch in the blocks on the top so the angle iron is sitting on the block itself, and then slide the angle iron beneath the top plate, or the 2x4 the truss is sitting on.. did you put a steel framed door like the other one leading out from the other room you were cutting in? That might be enough to carry some of the weight of the truss

@@longbowbanjoAL Last Sunday I used an angle grinder with a diamond disc to cut two sttaight lines in a concrete wall, and to grind some of the concrete surface, while using only a paper mask. The grinder produced a lot of dust, most of the dust was moved away by the wind it was in an exit opening to the exterior. However, I just used the grinder like 10 minutes total, but in a few occasions like four times I breathed some of the dust where I can feel the dust smell entering by my nose like for two seconds and I moved rapidly away. I didn't cough or anything. But now I am extremely afraid of that dust I breathed in a few occasions while doing that.
