Hey Morgan. Chickens will leave blood spots in eggs when scared, it happens more with natural eggs/farm raised chickens. My moms backyard chickens always get spooked by the rez dogs lmao

Relate. I’m 50 y/o, live in my own home. have 4 older children. If I ever stayed at my moms and had dirty dishes in t room…I would STILL wait for her to leave/be napping, to wash my dishes. 😂

I'm the parent who's sink is full of dishes. 🤣 i don't want to do them so I bought paper plates and plastic forks. I now understand why my mom would get mad when I took dishes to my room 🤣

Brown eggs aka orange eggs are perfectly fine and mostly just depend on breed of the chicken. In my country we use white eggs only for easter.
90% of eggs in Australia are that orange brown colour. I've never seen a white egg.

The eggs are just brown. There are variations in how light or dark they are. No breed lays orange lol
You can get dark brown from Marans and a few other breeds, or green/blue eggs from araucanas and americaunas, or "easter eggers" which is used for hatchery stock name. There have also been olive egg layers in production as well.
When your mom was trying the pancake.. suddenly.. i saw SOOOOO many RYLAND Mannerisms.. now I know where he gets it :) they make the exact same face trying food. so cute. happy holidays to you all! :)

Morena Morgan. Weird bit of info for ya here in New Zealand you barely ever see white eggs, they are pretty much always brown. I had chickens growing up I noticed different breeds layed different coloured eggs. Turns out here people feel brown eggs to be more "natural". Also the yolk colour comes straight from the hens nutrition so the more orange the yolk the more of a natural diet, so free range happy plant and worm eating chickens have a orange yolk and its creamy and delicious. Black dot.... well i leave that for you to find out. Xoxo

Yes, different breeds lay different colors. Like we also have chickens called Easter eggers which are breeds that lay pink and blue eggs, some might lay green. I've also heard here in the US we have a lot other countries don't have, like we have entire isles of candies... every store and fuel station you step into, it's excessive. I also grew up eating raw cookie dough out of those logs you speak of, but recently I saw they are making it in TUBS just for raw eating (without raw eggs apparently). 🙄🤦♀️😆
As another kiwi I was thinking… soooo a normal free range egg? 😂 but some Americans & some Canadians that come to NZ buzz out coz there’s not really white shelled eggs 😂 & that we don’t really store eggs in the fridge.

Shortcut cooking was actually really popular as far back as the 50s (maybe even earlier). Companies would give out free recipes with their box mixes or canned goods much like they do now. It feels like there has been a resurgence of people making things from scratch - especially with the spare time of the pandemic. Still boxed banana bread with no bananas does seem quite strange.
Yeah its the federal cheap extract kind whole point of the recipe is to use up old bananas

You'll notice the difference between eggs when you have your own chickens. The store bought chicken egg yolks are yellow a hen who is taken great care of has yolks that are a bright golden color. As far as the color of the shells go. That all depends on the chicken itself and the breed. Most chickens will lay brown eggs or white eggs but, there are chickens whom lay colorful eggs. My Americana Lucy lays greenish blue eggs. Three of my other girls lay brown eggs and one lays a light pink blush colored egg. I cannot wait to see you have your own chickens!! They're such amazing animals!!

Best eggs I ever had were from our neighbors coop. So elite I can’t even enjoy store bought anymore.

The brown eggs are from different types of hens. You can also get green and blue eggs.

Grandma doesn't want you to move out Morgan. You should stay with your family and spend time with them all while you still can. No need to pay all that extra money on an apartment while remodeling your house when you can stay with them and make these vlogs while hanging with them. Really I understand about needing your own place but that will be coming fairly soon, and until then use this time to be with your family. You have a great relationship with them. Morgan is the spitting image of her dad including his height but just with her mom’s body type lol I love it. I totally get the dress thing though, I’m 5’8 and even for ME it’s hard to find a dress that’s even remotely long enough. This is why I tend to go for midi dresses nowadays

Hahaha the egg shells! It's based on the breed. We had chickens and young chickens lay a more orange yolk and many different breeds lay the orange or brown shell. Some even lay blue and green shells! If the shell is thick, it's a fresher egg. Fresh eggs are good for months. Stores get them when they have any a month left.
