- This time I took the vocal hights and injected some King Diamond/Mercyful Fate style into the iconic 'Tallica song 'Master Of Puppets', with a touch of Melissa and Don't Break The Oath albums. So, what if the legendary King Diamond/Mercfyful Fate really made this song? Well, take a listen to this version, as my imagination of the combo.

You're an excellent musician and orchestrator, with a very good vocal range, particularly in the baritone- bass area. You would definitely excel more if you had a bit of coaching in your diction and phrasing your English.

I am perplexed about how deep a man can be in the material to produce such a credible version in a space where legends meet. Folks, believe me this man has the potential to even interprete an early Helloween song in a Bell Witch/Four Phantoms Style. Great contributions. Today I clicked the bell.

Check out Attic from Germany. They aren't a "rip off" band so much as it's MF/KD worship & it's done so well. To me, Attic is what you would get if you put the bands Mercyful Fate, King Diamond & Dissection into a blender & Attic would be the result. They got a lot of irrational hate in the beginning but it isn't deserved. It's their love of the legendary music showing in their own. The King himself loves Attic & I strongly suggest that all MF/KD bangers to take heed. They proudly carry the torch.

Glorious title 🤘
Denis, this is simply brilliant! This has all the makings of vintage Mercyful Fate - the twin guitar tones and playing tendencies of Michael Denner and Hank Shermann, the "following" yet distinctive bass playing of Timi "Grabber" Hansen, the drum style of Kim Ruzz, and, finally, you absolutely nailed King's style, falsetto included! I don't know how someone could take one band's magnum opus and actually convince us that another band, with a completely different style, could've written and performed it, but you found a way! There are many great moments in this song, but my favorite is the way you sing "Obey your master" ... THAT is classic King Diamond right there! Massive kudos to you, sir!

I'm totally impressed how deep this guy managed to capture the style of mercyful fate, it sounds 100% legit, like the original band in the 80's recordings!
That singing wasn't too easy for sure.
Well, along with my usual 'harsh' singing which I'm doing most of the time, higher pitched vocals are also one of technique I use sometimes.
Actually, I used that in the one of my first vocal appearence in a band, back in 2014.
It isn't easy all of the time, depends of the day, but it's okay for me and my throat :))

I am a huge Mercyful Fate fan and have studied Denner and Sherman's guitar style for many years. You have totally nailed their sound accurately. The solo fills sound like something Denner would come up with and all the riffs are straight out of Sherman's style. I love your guitar tone!! It sounds more like early 90s MF, like from the album In The Shadows to my ears, than their 80s stuff. Huge praise for your King vocals. Your screams are spot on in the same areas he'd do them, and your deep growl sounds a lot like him too. Thank you for this video, you really made my day!

Fuck ya! Nailed it!!! I love that not only did you incorporate some spot on King Diamond vocals, but you completely changed the music style to match that of King's style, not just playing the same music with new vocals. This is an amazing take on Puppets. I could listen to the entire album played like this. What really caught my attention is the base line. The bass sounds EXACTLY how a King Diamond bass track would sound. Up and down the fret board, adding a strong sense of the motion of the music. The mix on this is perfect!
